George Clooney Installs Panic Room

As George Clooney renovates his new mansion with wife Amal Alamuddin in Berkshire, England, the couple have decided to add one very modern invention: a panic room. Us Weekly reports that the addition to their 17th-century British manor house will be resistant to fires, bombs, and attacks. Surprisingly, the room is more for Amal's protection than George's. Due to her high profile cases, the couple aren't taking any chances with security.

    Just the words panic room make me panic. Imagining thick walls, doors and no windows freaks me the hell out.

    It's actually pretty smart on their part, like many above have pointed out Amal does deal with high profile/politically charged cases. All George does is rebel against Sony.

    Calling crap on this..the cases she's involved with (in no way in charge of) now have gone on for years..was she worried when she lived with her mom and they put balloons outside so the press could find them? British paps say she gives them a walking schedule to facilitate photos..sound scared? Clooney's people regularly keep the story going..ok, we get it.

    If I had a panic room it would be geared towards dealing with my recent crazy panic attacks. It would include a great TV/DVD/DVR system, choice smokables/parmaceuticals/beverages a killer massage chair and lots of comfy seating.

    George himself has at least one lunatic fan/stalker that he has to watch out for. She haunts the gossip forums and usually shows up when he's mentioned. If you look in a mirror and say "Davida Rochelle" three times, she'll appear here, and then you can enjoy her very special brand of insanity.

    Trust me, if someone like her was obsessed with you, you'd think a safe room was a fine idea.

    Lol@Squeeze Davida-Rochelle has made such a nuisance of herself on Datalounge that her name is actually banned. You get [...]-[...] instead. Unfortunately, she's still around. Last I heard, she's claiming someone is stealing her mail.
