SNL 40 - Martin Short and Beyonce

  1. Maya Rudolph is amazing!

Garth and Kat are the worst. I always fast forward through them.

    Ana Gasteyer! <3

Was that Michael Douglas in the audience at the Frank Sinatra bit?

How come we got more Kat and Garth than Steve Martin? Blasphemy!

I've never seen Jaws but the only line I know, and that I expected Bill Murray to sing was, "I think we're gonna need a bigger boat."

The BLUES BROTHERS! Rip, John, your brother's got your back.

  2. I never thought I'd say this, but Adam Sandler was the funniest guy there. Along with Maya Rudolph and her Beyoncé impression, of course. I think she's got four kids with Paul Thomas Anderson...no wonder she has no time to work.

Steve Martin looked like he didn't want to be there and did it as a favor to Lorne.

  3. Maya as Queen B is FLAWLESS!

Biggest dissapointment of course, Eddie Murphy. I hoped he would participate in SOME fashion. Instead Chris Rock gave long heartfelt intro and Eddie spent what, less than a minute to say Thanks, this was a big part of my life. That's it? WTF EDDIE?

    1. Mama- i dont think anyone saw Murphy like Rock said he thought about him. Applause was tepid for his talk and for Murphy. Murphywas great on SNL and in a about 3 movies after that, but then somehow he became unfunny. And has stayed unfunny to this day.

  4. Now I'm glad I didn't watch this. Garth and Kat? Never saw that skit before and I can go the rest of my life without seeing them again. Martin Short was good as usual.

  5. Maya is a perfect B. Martin was cracking me up acting like he was getting blown away by the wind.

Last night was my first exposure to Garth and Kat, it was awful.

  6. Jeopardy was my favorite. The Beyoncé impression was spot on, but it dragged.
