There was a lot of competition for an upcoming big interview, and we know the fascinating reason why this very famous media darling did not get the big “get”!
Media Darling was the original choice to conduct the interview. A tentative agreement was reached, and everyone immediately jumped into production mode. But then, something happened, and a different interviewer was selected. What happened?
Well, the theme of the interview is about being honest about all things concerning sexual identity. The subject thought that Media Darling could guide their discussion in a thoughtful and honest way… until he found out that she herself is gay and deeply closeted!
He was shocked. He thought about it for a couple of days, and finally decided that when it came to selecting the right person to help him reveal his plan to lead a more honest and genuine life, he simply could not choose a celebrity who was still manipulating and lying to the public herself. He dumped her and selected a new interviewer.

Obviously Bruce, Baba Wawa?
ReplyDeleteDiane sawyer?
ReplyDeleteBruce and Oprah?
ReplyDeleteI thought he meant Oprah.
ReplyDeleteMisread blind. I think youre right with oprah
ReplyDeleteNot Sawyer - she was married to Mike Nichols for years, and was once famous for sitting on Richard Nixon's lap. Walters was also a bit of a (heterosexual) tramp in her day - and Google her interview about her huge crush on Clint Eastwood and how sad she was it didn't work out. Of course, anyone could be 'deeply closeted', but I wouldn't bet on Diane or Barbara.
ReplyDeleteJames Lipton wrote in his book about going to a reunion or some kind of party in Paris held by prostitutes that he worked for in his younger days. He spoke French and English so he acted as a translator with johns. He tells the story of Barbara going upstairs with a prostitute and coming down, if I remember correctly, a couple hours later. He was implying that she had sex with the prostitute. He would tell the story as a joke on shows when he promoted the book, but I've heard rumors about her in the past as well. Not crazy to think it's her.
DeleteI should point out that she doesn't necessarily have to be gay. She could be bi-sexual.
DeleteI think it's Oprah for the record though!
Well Oprah makes total sense, but why would he be shocked by that news? Duh Bruce.
ReplyDeleteThat said, Oprah doesn't really have a network platform these days. Wouldn't Bruce want to discuss his transition on something with wider reach than OWN?
ReplyDeleteYou know who does have a major media platform, though, is Gayle King.
ReplyDeleteWow, @Nutty, that's a jinx and a half!
DeleteIt's supposed to be Bruce and Oprah. Remember, this is BG, they've had several blinds with Oprah and her bestie. I think one was that Gayle wouldn't "let" Oprah marry her guy.
ReplyDeleteThe real story, though, would be that Bruce would choose Diane over Oprah because O really doesn't have much of a platform anymore, even owning her network, whereas Diane is still able to air on a major network. His shock was only in finding that O doesn't have the stock she used to have, so he consulted PMK and she said go with the network, Belinda.
That being said, even an "Oprah Special" I think would draw viewers in...if it wasn't solely aired on Own. Yeah so basically scrap everything I just said lol
DeleteThere've been rumors about Sawyer too for years, married or not. But this is apparently about Oprah.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was Bruce/Katie Couric
ReplyDeleteMy thought was Oprah first and foremost. Definitely deeply closeted.
ReplyDeleteDefinitley Bruce and ????? Not sure if Oprah fits for this. I'm sorry, she might not have a HUGE media platform, but when she gets the "get" (like Lance Armstrong) people still find ways to watch. And lets face it, closeted or not, I would rather be interviewed by Oprah and I just can't see some interviewee "dropping" Oprah just because of a couple of rumours which might not even be true. All that said, I have no idea who the interviewer could be.
ReplyDeleteI also think this is supposed to be Bruce and Oprah.. but I am not sure I buy it. I really don't think Bruce would have denied O the interview for "moral" or "integrity" reasons. There may be other factors at play.
ReplyDeleteI dont get the level of attention lady bruce is getting. He's not very interesting. I certainly dont want to listen to him for an hour!
