The Hollywood Reporter states that Fifty Shades of Grey had a record-breaking launch, bringing in $248.7 million globally. Domestically, the release grossed $90.7 million, making it the biggest North American debut for a movie directed by a woman. Sam Taylor-Johnson directed the film. You go, girl!
