This production is nominated for a Golden Globe Award. The ensemble cast is large enough that it needs two tables at the Awards ceremony.
"When they were doing the seating arrangements, [Male Actor] pitched a fit when he found out that he wasn’t seated at the same table as [Female Actor]. He was yelling at the staffer that he needed to sit at the same table as her and preferably next to her. They had to rearrange the seating. It wasn’t that hard to do, but it was a little weird that he got so upset about something like that."
We do not know why sitting near this particular costar is so important to him… but we’ll be watching them on Sunday to see if there is any hint of a more-than-professional relationship!

It's Time For The Annual Goop Detox
It's that time of year again! Goop has released their annual detox. What's the plan this year?

Riverdale actresses Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart are on the cover of Cosmopolitan. Here's what they had to say in their accompanying interview:

CAMILA: “I want to see [Veronica] challenged—I want to see her at her breaking point… I love strong characters and they’re fun to play, but I think we’ve seen a lot of strong Veronica. It would be interesting to see her in a different light. I want to see her weak and defeated. I want to see her fail.”
LILI: “I want to see [Betty] have a good time. Maybe not having phone calls on the reg with a serial killer, you know? I want her to let her hair down—and not just as a reaction to being depressed and stressed out. Betty didn’t even do [Riverdale’s fictional party drug] Jingle Jangle… I also want to see her explore her sexuality. She never gets to—she’s always stressed! Poor girl.”
Camila and Lili on what they think the biggest misconceptions about sex are:
CAMILA: “I’ve never liked this idea of “don’t give him everything.” Like you’ve given someone all of yourself by having sex with them. What’s valuable to me is giving you my love and my intimacy.”
LILI: “The idea that sex is going to be the same with everyone—that’s a misconception. That’s how I felt when I lost my virginity—I was like, “So this is sex!” And then you have sex with someone else, and you’re like, “Holy shit— this is so different.” What you want, what feels good to you—it’s all going to change with every partner you have.”
Camila on the importance of speaking up and being true to yourself:
“If I could go back to before I started Riverdale, I would tell myself to speak up when I felt like something wasn’t right. To use my voice and know that it’s worth hearing. I think what it really comes down to is giving fewer fucks. It’s easy to think you have to fit some kind of mold. The darling, the bad bitch, the cool girl. But there’s no way to mess up being yourself.”

It’s represented in our show — it happens to high school girls. We have to start thinking about why these men do this. Fans were shipping a romance between her and her costar in the first film, which is part of a big franchise.

Then the producer of the second film let “slip” that our actress was actually dating her costar from the second film!

Cat fights are the best, aren’t they? People just love the thought of two women lunging at each other and clawing each other’s eyes out over some trivial matter.
This cat fight is more… civilized. More like a kitten fight, actually.
Cat 1 and Cat 2 are two beautiful, young, female celebrities. They have been a secret couple for years. Yes, they always have boyfriends, but that’s all part of the facade.
Cat 1’s plan was always to keep things on the quiet during their peak earning years. Cat 2 got impatient.
"[Cat 2] thought they should both come out this year as “bi” and let the consequences to their careers fall where they may. [Cat 1] said maybe. Then she said NO. That’s what set [Cat 2] off."
So Cat 2 took a little swipe at her.
We doubt that either one wants to really hurt the other. They just want slightly different things right now.

“John [Krasinski] is, like, six feet three, and was playing the most approachable man in the world. So people will be, like, ‘Jim!’ Guys want to high-five him...I am always under the impression that I have a silly job for a living. But occasionally you will run into someone who deepens your feeling about it. Sometimes people will say they had cancer and The Office was the only thing that made their family laugh during that time. You realize when you are in something that really touches people that it does offer an escape.”
On how to politely refuse to take a selfie:
“Social media has changed the landscape so an encounter with you is valued more as a social-media currency than a genuine interaction. Frances McDormand told us—she just makes my teeth ache I love her so much—when someone asks her for a picture, she says, ‘You know what? I’ve actually retired from that. But I would like to shake your hand and meet you.’ ”
On not being on social media:
“I don’t think it does shit, to be honest. I think a movie lives or dies on word of mouth and the trailer. I have seen people do endless social-media campaigns and the movie tanks, so I don’t see a correlation. . . . I strongly believe that my job is to persuade you that I am playing somebody else, so exposing too much personally is just something I can’t get on board with.”

“It is a business that you enter into, especially as I did, and it appears to be made of rainbows and sunbeams. Then you realize it’s called show business because it is a business . . . I am not cynical in my personal life. I actually feel quite hopeful. But with the business itself, you have to approach it in a harder way. I think you have to wear a helmet.
...It was just an accumulation over the years. . . . You are part of a machine that is moving and will overwhelm you and drown you if you are not tough in it. It’s a very precarious industry that can often be quite crushing, so any advice I have for anyone going into it is to do something else.”

Studios making bad content in order to appeal to the masses and shareholders is like fracking — you get the best return right now but you wreck the earth. It’s ruining the viewing habits of the American population and then ultimately the rest of the world...I feel like I make movies because there are things I have to say in order to figure out who I am or my place in the world, or for me to evolve as a person.”

Sarah Paulson Reflects Back on Successful Year
Sarah Paulson is on the cover of Town and Country Magazine. Here's what she had to say in her accompanying interview:
On her current success:
“It’s head-spinning. But part of me is scared. I’ve got a window, as a woman of 43. Right now it’s cracked this big”—(she holds her hands inches apart)—“and I’m trying to keep it open with both hands, as wide as possible, for as long as possible.”
On competing for roles with Oscar-winning actresses:
“Going to the next level means that you’re at the bottom of the next rung. Look, many of them have won Academy Awards. I don’t expect to get offered the roles before them, but I still want them. All it means is that I have to keep working the way I always have, leaving my ego at home and trying to just think about what is true. To me, disappearing is everything. I’m not interested in a character’s goodness. I’m interested in what makes them human.”
On public interest in her relationship with Holland Taylor:
“I do not want to be defined by who I share my bed, my home, my soul with. My choices in life have been unconventional, and that’s my business. But I do want to live responsibly and truthfully without hiding. It’s complicated, because there is a lot of hate in this world, and a lot of good can come from quote-unquote normalizing something for people who don’t see it as normal. Our relationship represents a certain amount of hope and risk. Maybe there’s something brave in it. Maybe it encourages others to make brave choices. What else can I say? We love each other.”
On choosing not to have children:
“I don’t want to be torn. I don’t want to look at my child and say, ‘You’re the most extraordinary thing that ever happened to me, but also the death knell.’ It was hard for my mother to be everywhere, to come to the school play and make a living. I’ve always known what I wanted out of my professional life, and I didn’t want to turn around and go, ‘If I had only made the choice to just dedicate this time in my life to me.’ It’s selfish, but I think the word selfish gets a bad rap.”

Late last year, singer Carrie Underwood took a tumble that resulted in a broken wrist. She recently updated her fan club on the additional injuries that were sustained in the fall. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by People:
“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up. It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life.
In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [Underwood’s husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in.
[Seven weeks after the accident, I'm on the mend but] not quite looking the same. I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse. And I am grateful for the people in my life that have been there every step of the way.
I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way. And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”
