Blind Gossip Blind Item - His Family is Pushing For a DNA Test

This male celebrity became a father for the first time in the past few months. Congratulations!

Or maybe… not?

"His [female family member] says that the baby doesn’t look anything like him or anybody in their family. She is very suspicious and she told him he needs to do a DNA test so he doesn’t wind up taking care of a kid that isn’t even his for the next 18 years.. He agrees with her, but he knows that (the baby’s mother) is going to freak out and he doesn’t want to create this huge problem with her if he’s not sure."

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Mean Move

A source of mine went to a party recently to celebrate a movie release and she pleasantly surprised to see an A lister amongst the attendants. She swears that somebody informed him about a Daily Mail article about his A list ex-wife and he was overheard laughing, then expressing relief over their divorce and wishing her next 'victim' luck.

'I was shocked,' says the source. 'It was a mean move.'

Hardly the biggest crime in the world, but not exactly becoming of a gentleman.

So, tell me, Gossipers:

Who is our A lister?

Who is his ex-wife?

Kardashian Korner

Caitlyn Jenner recently admitted that Kim Kardashian no longer speaks to her. In an interview with an Australian morning show, she said the following, as reprinted by E! News:

"I love Kimberly, I think she's a wonderful person. But, well, to be honest with you, I really haven't talked to her in a long time. I've kind of let everything calm down. So I kind of stay, you know, I keep my distance. I'm out there trying to make a difference in the world. There's a lot of drama in the Kardashian family. This is my book about my opinions on things that had happened with me and my family. Any time I express my opinion, you know, with my family, there's always challenges in doing that."

Kim had previously said on Ellen that she will always love Caitlyn, but..."that was my stepdad for so many years. She taught me about character and so much growing up. I just feel like I don't respect the character that she's showing now...I just feel like there's no need for a book. Tell your story, but just don't bash other people. My heart breaks for my mom, because I feel like she's been through so much. I just feel like it's unfair; things aren't truthful."

In other Kardashian news, Kylie Jenner channeled Barbie for a spread in Flaunt Magazine, that is sparking plastic surgery rumours. See the spread here.

Pop Star is Secretly Dating

Here’s an interesting match up!

He is a pop star. His most well-known relationship was with another singer, but he has dated plenty of other girl, too.

She is the daughter of a pop star.

They have been spending quality time together. Meals and a mini-vacation. However, they have managed to do so while avoiding the paparazzi.

Why would they care if anyone saw them together?

"They just started dating. She told him that she wants to keep it private for now. He agreed to do that. If anyone catches a photo of them together, they will both say they are “just friends and have known each other for a long time.”"

In the meantime, they will both be seen with other people of the opposite sex so as not to arouse suspicions about their new relationship.

They are both constantly being photographed, so if they last as a couple, it’s going to be challenging to keep this private for very long!

Chloe Sevigny Talks Vintage Shopping

It seems that Chloë Sevigny was in a good mood the day she sat down with Elle Magazine for an interview. Here are some highlights:

How important is it to you to shop vintage over brand new items?
"It's really important and less important. It's just my thing that I've always done. It's like a way of life for me. I grew up thrifting with my mom and it was a thing we would do together. Instead of sending me to the playground she would bring me to the Yellow Balloon thrift store in Darien, Connecticut where I grew up. It's just something that was ingrained in me and still, that's mostly all I buy. I can rarely think of instances [where] I buy brand new clothing."

Do you have vintage white whales that you've always tried to find?
"I did and then Mark [Haddawy from Resurrection Vintage] found it for me. It's this Gaultier sailor jacket with corseting in the back. I wanted it in black but he found it for me in navy. I had been scouring all over the world looking for it."

You're often seen as this pinnacle of '90s culture, particularly New York subculture. What do you think has changed about being "cool" since then? What's cool now verses what was cool then?
"I think it is harder to ascertain; I don't know if anything is as cool anymore. Everything is like a white wash, everything feels the same. [It's] harder to determine authenticity for me. Especially with the young kids walking around—you can't tell what they're really into or what they're posing that they're into. When I was growing up, if you're wearing a certain thing you were really standing for something and it was easier to identify what people were standing for or were into music-wise or scene-wise. How you dressed was more an indication of that and your attitude towards it. Now it's very hard to tell. It feels like everyone is just posturing.

Like I saw a girl the other day, and thought to my self she's like a real weirdo. Suburban, alternative kid, she had like blue hair. I was like, oh my God that's so refreshing to see some kid that is actually like a true weirdo. The next day I saw her again and she had a modeling book with her. Not that that diminishes her being authentic at all, but I was kind of sad. Not that I didn't do that as a kid, I didn't have a modeling agency, I [modeled] randomly and mostly for Sassy Magazine but it's a different day and age. I feel like people are more commoditized because its easier it's just a barrage of information and images everywhere."

Why do you think people are so attracted to the way you dress?
"God, I don't know but it's really annoying though [laughs]. No, it's not. Fashion is a big part of me and it's allowed me a lot of freedom in my life, especially with my first love which is film. I think people in the know, know that I don't work with a stylist for the authenticity. And lots of friends and lots of people in the industry [...] see my down time and how I really dress, and they feel a comfort there. And I don't know the magazines just latched onto me at a young age I think and I've kind of been something people didn't let go of."

Do you think It-Girls are different than when you were one back in the '90s?
"I hope I was different than [other It-Girls]. I think people always going to latch onto a young person and project onto them and exploit them. That's just a continuous thing that has happened since the '20s with Clara Bow."

Demi Lovato Talks Confidence

Us Weekly recently interviewed Demi Lovato at the launch of her Fabletics collaboration; here's what she had to say:

"I feel the most confident when I'm in the gym. Whenever I'm training — whether it's boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu. I stay confident in my own life by daily affirmations — looking in the mirror, telling myself I'm beautiful no matter what and just learning to accept my flaws for what they are and knowing that, you know, my curves are beautiful, and I am who I am. I hope to inspire [young women] by getting in the gym, getting healthy, feeling comfortable in their skin.”

Steve Harvey Hates His Employees

Page Six reports that Steve Harvey circulated the following memo to his staff in anticipation of the start of the fifth season of his talk show. Here it is, in its entirety:

"Good morning, everyone. Welcome back.

I’d like you all to review and adhere to the following notes and rules for Season 5 of my talk show.

There will be no meetings in my dressing room. No stopping by or popping in. NO ONE.

Do not come to my dressing room unless invited.

Do not open my dressing room door. IF YOU OPEN MY DOOR, EXPECT TO BE REMOVED.

My security team will stop everyone from standing at my door who have the intent to see or speak to me.

I want all the ambushing to stop now. That includes TV staff.
You must schedule an appointment.

I have been taken advantage of by my lenient policy in the past. This ends now. NO MORE.

Do not approach me while I’m in the makeup chair unless I ask to speak with you directly. Either knock or use the doorbell.

I am seeking more free time for me throughout the day.

Do not wait in any hallway to speak to me. I hate being ambushed. Please make an appointment.

I promise you I will not entertain you in the hallway, and do not attempt to walk with me.

If you’re reading this, yes, I mean you.

Everyone, do not take offense to the new way of doing business. It is for the good of my personal life and enjoyment.

Thank you all,
Steve Harvey"

Entertainment Tonight caught up with Steve Harvey, and his response is basically "Sorry, Not Sorry," as reprinted by People:
“I could not find a way to walk from the stage to my dressing room, to sit in my makeup chair, to walk from my dressing room to the stage or to just sit and have lunch without somebody just walking in. I’ve always had a policy where, you know, you can come and talk to me — so many people are great around here, but some of them just started taking advantage of it.”

“Look man, I’m in my makeup chair, they walk in the room. I’m having lunch, they walk in, they don’t knock. I’m in the hallway, I’m getting ambushed by people with friends that come to the show and having me sign this and do this. I just said, ‘Wait a minute.’ And in hindsight, I probably should’ve handled it a little bit differently.”

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Floppy Chili

This floppy-haired lad hasn’t had a girlfriend – or should we say  “girlfriend” – in over a year.

Yet, amazingly, the very day a big project drops, so does the news that he’s dating a tall, beautiful blonde woman!

Wow! What a coincidence!

You’re not fooled, are you? She is about as likely to be Floppy’s girlfriend as that singer. Or that model who pretended to be his girlfriend despite her real “preferences.”

"Yes, it’s fake, but they get on well and they could both use the the publicity for their projects."

We don’t know exactly how long this fake relationship is going to last, but they could have fun in the meantime just doing the simple things.

Maybe they could go see the new Baywatch movie together and watch Zac Efron run around shirtless at the beach.

Yummy!

Or maybe they could go to lunch. He could order the chicken, and she could order the chili. Or they could both have chicken in chili.

Yummy!

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Glam Mechanic

Most of us ladies don't have 'handyman work' in our repertoire or our basic instincts, but this glam actress, who you would think would be like the many, apparently is quite skilled with a spanner.

'She lost a diamond earring down her bathroom drain once and undid the pipes etc. to retrieve it,' says the source. 'The reason I know this story is because she was an hour late to the party and she told everyone who would listen about her reason why.'

So, tell me, Gossipers:

Have you missed Kanye West lately? Have no fear, he's just working on some new beats. Us Weekly reports that West is holed up at a mountaintop retreat in Wyoming to get his creative juices flowing again. Deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts was part of that process. An insider states, "He always records in different remote places. For years it was Jamaica." West recently skipped out on the Met Gala, which he had attended for the past three years, in favor of staying in Wyoming to record. Can't wait for those mountain beats to drop!

Blind Gossip Blind Item - You Holding

This young actress was at the MTV Awards the other night. You know her best from starring in an ensemble TV series.

Although she has been acting for years, she’s definitely not a child anymore.

"She was going around at the party asking, “Are you holding? You holding?” and tapping the side of her nose. She supposedly had some earlier in the evening but was out. She was talking really fast and laughing too loud. She seemed really wired."

Mayim Bialik Was a Late Bloomer

Mayim Bialik has a new book coming out, titled Girling Up: How to Be Strong, Smart and Spectacular. People has an excerpt:

“I was very small for my age and I developed late, so I was teased a lot. I cried a lot and felt left out of many things my whole life, and I still feel that way as an adult sometimes. I developed late; I was really short, and my body didn’t get curves until I was about 16. I didn’t start my menstrual cycle until late in high school. I was not interested in dating, and as I shared before, I had my first kiss when I was acting in a TV show when I was 14. I didn’t have my first real boyfriend until I was 17, and I never ‘casually’ dated. I never hooked up with guys at camp or at school; I have only had long-term relationships, and I believe very strongly in having one committed partner at a time.

The truth is being a late bloomer turned out to be a good thing for me. The fact that I was left out of a lot of jokes and conversations because I couldn’t relate didn’t end up affecting me much in the long run. I know that being a late bloomer saved me from a lot of the drama and heartache that can come from having lots of relationships, but people who experienced those relationships learned a lot from them, and that’s fine too.

I used to feel ashamed that I was such a late bloomer, but now I embrace it, and I get to experience a lot of beauty and joy and love in ways I never imagined I could when I was a shy, awkward girl.”

Celebrity Real Estate - Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger Edition

On her secret to feeling great about her body:

On the key to a sexy marriage:

On the prospect of releasing another album:

Money Advice from Kevin Bacon

Kevin Bacon recently wrote a guest essay for WealthSimple, titled Money is Hard for Creative People. Here is an excerpt:

"After high school, I moved to New York City. That’s what I did. I didn’t have anything lined up, and I started working in restaurants, first as a busboy, and then as a waiter. My relationship with money was very loose. I had no budget, no savings, no credit cards, and no bank accounts. I was a cash-only kind of guy. I’d get paid out at the end of the night, spend some of it at the bar, wake up the next day, and check my pockets to see how much money I had left. There was never a budget or any kind of longer-term financial plan. I’d make money, spend it, pay rent, spend more money, and hope that when the end of the month came around, I’d have enough to put up another month’s rent.

...My parents weren’t wealthy, and they didn’t really teach us much about money. We just kind of assumed we’d have enough to get by, and we always had food to eat. My dad was a pretty old guy, and after he retired, I remember him trying to figure out how to make money. He hadn’t planned for retirement. So, without much guidance, it took me a long time to come around to the idea that you have to have a kind of responsibility with money, to keep an eye on it. To a certain extent, I still kind of struggle with it.

My advice is for people to understand the basics—where their money is and how much is there. It’s tempting to hand off your finances and let someone else do all the work, to say to them, “Hey, you take care of it.” But it’s important to be watchful with investments and stay personally involved. You sometimes hear about an actor or musician whose business manager has walked away with millions of dollars that didn’t belong to them. I’ve learned to keep a closer eye. Understanding money may not be everyone’s idea of a good time, but it’s a necessary evil. If you’re a creative person who doesn’t understand money easily, you may not want to admit how essential it is. But ultimately if you stick your head in the sand, you’ll be sorry.

These days, I still like having cash in my hands—I never walk around with less than $200 or $300. In some ways, I’m still a cash-only guy, like I was in my restaurant days. There’s a kind of joy in seeing something in a store and being able to pull the cash out of your pocket and buy it for yourself..."

Their daughter Birdie Joe Danielson was born on Tuesday. Brie released the following statement to E!: "There is no better feeling in the world than meeting your daughter. I can't even express the overwhelming joy and love that Bryan and I are feeling. Now we know what parents mean about the love you feel when you first meet your child. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world."

Conrad Hilton: From Jail to Hospital

TMZ reports that after Conrad Hilton violated his restraining order by trying to break into the home of his ex-girlfriend (and Rick Salomon's daughter) over the weekend, he was arraigned on Wednesday. A judge agreed to release Conrad into his father Rick's custody, only if Conrad agrees to go to a hospital where he can be property diagnosed and treated. Conrad will be heading to a hospital in Houston. When asked if Conrad would comply with the order, he stated, "I am sorry to the court and the entire state for disrespecting the court. I am not obsessed with hookers and I'm sorry."

This is the same Hilton that freaked out on a plane two years ago, threatened flight attendants, and called the other passengers fucking peasants, and that he will fucking own anyone on this flight. Is there a cure for that?

Blind Gossip Blind Item - A Literally Messy Divorce

Since filing for divorce from his actress wife, this prominent film actor is having trouble doing basic things like eating and bathing.

"He’s not eating regular meals and it’s usually junk food, so he’s having trouble with his weight and his clothes don’t fit properly. He sometimes doesn’t bathe for a few days at a time. He smells bad a lot. You have to remind him to take a shower and shave and put on clean clothes. His place is a mess, too. He doesn’t even want the housekeeper in there, so the garbage doesn’t get taken out and it stinks. There are clothes and scripts and food containers piled on the floors and the counters. Not like a hoarder with rats or anything, but like someone who just doesn’t care."

A Letter from Channing Tatum

Cosmopolitan recently invited Channing Tatum to write an open letter in advance of the launch of Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas. Here is an excerpt:

"In honor of the launch of Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas, my friends at Cosmo generously invited me to write something for you. The more I thought about this, the more I thought about my daughter reading this article someday. I pictured her in her late teens or early 20s, hoping to explore and discover her sexuality and dreaming about finding true love.

I tried to imagine the things I’d want her to read that would help her understand men and sex and partnership better, and at that moment, I realized a strange thing. I don’t want her looking to the outside world for answers. My highest hope for her is just that she has the fearlessness to always be her authentic self, no matter what she thinks men want her to be.

I thought about when I first met Jenna. I knew our connection was really powerful, but I wasn’t sure what our relationship was going to be. Then one day, Jenna just blurted out that she knew exactly what she wanted in life and she didn’t have to look for it anymore because it was me. She had no idea what I’d say or how I’d react, but that was her truth. I remember feeling this incredible rush — it was the sexiest thing she’d ever done for me. I felt strength, because in that moment, she had accepted every part of me, the good and the bad. And I knew she wasn’t auditioning me or hoping I’d meet some set of expectations. That radical authenticity of hers was what made me fall head over heels in love. Before I experienced it, I wouldn’t have known how to ask for it. Now I know it’s what I was always craving. And that’s what I want for my daughter — to be expectation-less with her love and not allow preconceived standards to affect her, to ask herself what she wants and feel empowered enough to act on it.

...We live in a society that has trained men and women to play certain kinds of roles for a long time, and the beauty of this amazing moment we’re living in is that we’re finally starting to break free from those roles. Women, especially, are realizing that they no longer have to conform to certain standards of social and sexual behavior, and this changes what they need from men and the role of men in general.

I decided to turn Magic Mike into a live show because I wanted to create a space where we could really explore these themes in a fun, provocative way. I want women to feel what it’s like to exist in a world where men really listen to them, where they treat them like goddesses, and where they can feel comfortable and proud to express the full force of their sexual energy together. I want them to experience a place where they are much more than enough. If that intrigues you, please come check out our show and let us know how we’re doing. Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to Cosmo for allowing me to share!"

LeAnn Rimes Talks Stepmom's Day

LeAnn Rimes recently sat down for an interview with Refinery29, where she talked about her new blog, and life as a stepmom. Here are some highlights from the interview:

How do you and your family celebrate Mother's Day?
"It changed a little bit every year since I've been married. The kids spend Mother's Day with their mom, so Eddie takes me out. He tries to make the day special for me, which is very sweet. Then we go and spend the day with our moms and my stepdad and his dad, and it becomes a family-oriented day of celebrating our parents, as we're both only children.

"I learned about Stepmom's Day a few years ago, which is the Sunday after Mother's Day. We celebrate with the kids as we have the last couple of years. We go to dinner and do the whole thing. I love the fact that there is a stepmom's day and an option [for stepparents to celebrate]. It's so different for each family. I love that we have a separate day and I think it's important that people know about it.

"I've been posting about it for the last couple of years on Instagram and Twitter and not many stepmoms know about it. For me, we have the kids half the time, so I feel like I am mothering, which is crazy as someone who has never had [biological] children before. I think it's great."

Are there any unique challenges to being a stepmom?
"I think parenting is challenging, period. I didn't really have a childhood, so for me it's interesting to be around kids that get to be kids. They were two and six when I was first around them, and now they are 10 and 13. To be around them, and to watch them have a childhood, it's been amazing to see. I greatly appreciate the fact that they have that piece of their lives, and we try to keep that part of their lives alive as much as possible.

"When I was first around the kids, I didn't know what was expected of me. Little things that were so childlike about them that I didn't have about me. It's been a really big learning experience for me. It's pushed my buttons, which has always made me look and see where I need more healing on myself. It's been really rewarding to see them grow up, and know that I have a part in that. That responsibility, to help raise kids, it's something that hits you really hard. It was something I was up for the challenge of. They bring so much joy to my life, and it's a new experience every day."

Were there any existing blogs that inspired you to start your own?
"GOOP [Gwyneth Paltrow's blog] has always been my favorite, [as has] MindBodyGreen. I've had this [desire to start a blog] for a really long time, but fear was always getting in the way. I hope to aspire to [those blogs] one day... MindBodyGreen is something I go on at 3 a.m."

What is your idea of a perfect day with your family?

"Just being at home. It's wonderful in the summer. We have a pool in the back and the kids love the pool. Just being able to be at home with nothing on the agenda except probably cooking and grilling out in the evening. Just being at home with the dogs and the kids and Eddie... Having my feet in the grass and watching them play. That's my perfect day because I don't get to do it often enough."
