Blind Gossip Blind Item - Artists Do Not Have Rules
This movie star has a drinking problem. He knows it, everybody knows it. He’s not a fun drunk, either. He gets nasty and violent.
After his most recent incident, we asked someone close to the situation about his problem. He didn’t go through a formal rehab program last time. He did the private counseling thing instead. Was that a mistake?
"He won’t go to rehab. Rehab is all rules and structure. He doesn’t like rules. He doesn’t like structure. He thinks it compromises him as an artist. He says that once you follow somebody else’s rules, you are no longer an artist."
Well, choosing artistry over sobriety is creating problems for him again. Is there anyone who can help him move back towards sobriety?
"Ha ha. No. He doesn’t have any projects in production, so no studio has any say. It’s not like he has anywhere he has to be in the morning. He used to get like ten offers a year, but he’s got nothing right now, so there’s nothing and no one for him to be accountable to. He still has plenty of money so he doesn’t have to work.
We’ll probably just have to wait until he gets arrested (again) before he gets help."

Tom DeLonge Talks Aliens
Tom DeLonge recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone, where he talked about, what else? Aliens! Here are some highlights from the interview, where he talked about his new book Sekret Machines: Gods, the first in a trilogy:
"The more I got into it, the more I realized it was all real. Then I was like, 'OK, what am I going to do about it?'"
On Sekret Machines:
"These people had never seen anybody outside of their tribe before. They saw the planes drop cargo so they automatically assumed they were gods. They started worshipping these planes, trying to get medicine and food. And their religion still exists to this day."
On aliens:
"What would happen if those intelligences were roaming around the universe and getting involved in the genetics and colonization of other types of life?"
You think that's weird, wait until you hear what his co-writer and "occult historian" Peter Levanda has to say:
"Humans are responsible for building the pyramids, for instance. I think we can agree on that.* But what was the impetus behind it? What we're saying is the initial contact is what prompted all this. Not that there were aliens out there telling us how to build pyramids. I think that just devalues the entire conversation, and we're trying to get beyond that...People have been spending 70 years trying to prove it's real, and if you're waiting for the government to do it, good luck. What we're saying is, let's proceed under the assumption that this is real. What does that mean for history, for medicine, for physics, for chemistry, for astronomy? What does it mean for us as humans if we accept that the phenomenon has always been real?"
*No, Peter. We all know that Jaden Smith travelled back in time and built all of the pyramids. To scale.

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Hard Work, Very Insecure
If you're a fan of sitcoms, then you might be wondering why you rarely see this once A list television actor in high profile project anymore.
"Hard work," says one scrub. "The sort of guy that you could write a million dollar check to and he'd complain about the ink used."
"He's terrified of looking bad on camera," confides another. "He'll complain if a set has hired too many good looking background actors."
So, tell me, Gossipers:

Spy Kids' Daryl Sabara is Feeling Meghan Trainor - Literally
Singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor recently sat down for an interview with Cosmopolitan, where she talked about body image and her relationship with boyfriend Daryl Sabara. Here's what she had to say:
On her first date with boyfriend, actor Daryl Sabara:
"We went on a double date — bowling and karaoke. He kissed me at the bowling alley. I told my security to step outside ‘cause I didn’t want to be watched. LOL. He was the best kisser ever. I know I’m really good at kissing, but I was shocked when he was."
On feeling sexy:
"I never really felt sexy with guys before. No one expressed how they liked my body out loud in the bedroom until I met Daryl. He is obsessed with it — every inch. And that has improved my confidence more than even “Bass” did. He’s a champion, so we’re in heaven."
On being a young artist:
"The benefit of being young is having time to learn and to fix things. We take notes after everything: pros and cons about things, what we will do differently next time, how did Beyoncé do it? That’s the question we always ask ourselves. [She’s] our god. I always say, “What would Beyoncé do?”"
On how her next album will include songs about Sabara:
"I wrote six songs on the road about him in front of his face. One is called “Marry Me.”"

Pamela Anderson Waxes Poetic About Julian Assange
So Pamela Anderson has been making the rounds telling everyone how evil porn is, but apparently she's totally down with (alleged) rapists. She recently called People to tell them about how much she loves Julian Assange. Here's what she had to say:
“Julian is trying to free the world by educating it. It is a romantic struggle — I love him for this. I understand that our ‘affair’ and the curiosity surrounding that might bring some attention to his situation. That’s fine, but I’d rather not go into private details. Let’s just say everyone deserves love.
We talk about the world. He’s a very good teacher. Julian is one of my favorite people. He is a refugee. He might be the most famous refugee of our time— famous for being persecuted.I’m very concerned about his well-being and safety.
I’m very moody. I wouldn’t say I’m a happy person. I’m tormented and love sick always. It’s hard to find relief sometimes,” she says. “I’m trying to not feel lonely. But, I hurt a lot about so many things. I’m a romantic – it makes my stomach hurt...He’s a good person who cares about the world. He is a kind and deeply empathetic person. He is funny, sensitive, romantic, surprisingly resourceful. He’s a good man.”
Sorry Pamela, that endorsement doesn't mean much coming from the woman who married Kid Rock, Tommy Lee, and Rick Salomon. Twice.

Blind Gossip Exclusive Blind Item - Fucking Ridiculous Papers
Gather around, kids, because we have the juice on a celebrity couple that had a fight TODAY!
He is a musician. She is from a musical family, but is better known as a reality star. Actually, they are both from musical families. We’ve told you before that their marriage is rocky.
They were in an amusement park gift shop with their children. She was annoyed that he was on his phone.
"He was texting. She snapped at him and said “Can you just not text her? Tell her to give it up! I WILL NOT sign those papers! THIS IS FUCKING RIDICULOUS!”
She reached out to grab his hand (or his phone?) and he pushed her away and put it in his pocket. He was pissed. He shook his head and walked away.
She walked over to one of the kids and asked them if they were hungry. He walked over to another kid who was looking at stuffed animals. It’s like they both just went into parenting mode and ignored each other. He was completely miserable. Actually, they were both completely miserable."
Fighting about another woman and signing papers? It’s little things like this that make this couple so interesting to us!

Beauty Tips from Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer is giving you beauty tips in this month's InStyle Magazine. She also made the cover! Here are some highlights from the accompanying interview, which was conducted by Jessica Seinfeld:
Jessica Seinfeld: What is your ideal day of beauty?
Amy Schumer: It’s a new thing, but I like getting facials now at Georgia Louise, and she gives a good massage too. If we’re talking massages or whatever, I’ll do it all day—throw me into some sort of sketchy bathhouse.
JS: Are you into beauty products?
AS: I like the products that I like, but it’s bare-bones. There are things people know about, like La Mer, that I had never heard of until recently. So I don’t know until someone tells me.
JS: Do you have a regimen?
AS: My regimen is I wake up, usually around 8:30, brush my teeth, and splash water on my face. Then I put Kiehl’s eye-something under my eyes, and I blot La Mer so it looks like sunblock. Then I put on deodorant if I remember, which today I did not.
JS: What kind of deodorant?
AS: I use Secret. I tried the natural ones, but my body was just like, “Stop all that. Just die early and don’t smell like a foot.”
JS: What about wellness? I know you like acupuncture.
AS: Oh, yeah, I love wellness. For exercise, I’ll text [actress] Rachel Feinstein and ask her if she wants to go to a SoulCycle class. We ride very slowly in the back, but they don’t make us feel bad about that. Afterward, we celebrate the workout with a very long lunch and coffee. We’re like elderly women on the Upper West Side. And then I love to go for a long walk, maybe around the Central Park reservoir.
JS: Do you ever detox?
AS: I just went away with my girls, and it was nonstop every night, so then I didn’t want to do anything for a week. If I have something coming up, I do look better when I’m not getting hammered at night, unfortunately. Before the Golden Globes I didn’t drink for four days, or something like that.
JS: Do you care about food?
AS: Yeah, I care about food a lot.
I have a healthy relationship with food. My problem is as a comic, I eat dinner late. But I’ll have a smoothie for breakfast every morning, and I keep it pretty low-carb and healthy during the day. At night I’ll have a basic protein, quinoa, and vegetables. Then I’ll have another dinner at 2 a.m. or something if I’m out.
JS: What is it about [your boyfriend] Ben that attracted you to him?
AS: His penis. [Laughs] I could see he was kind in a real way. Some guys, they can put up a kind front, and then you find out that they’re sexual deviants, but I—
JS: Hopefully.
AS: God willing. [Laughs] No, and not that he’s not, God bless him. He’s cute. He’s kind.
JS: What I love about you and Ben together is that he is not competing. He just appreciates you so much.
AS: It’s true. And I’ve had a lot of that, you know? Or just people who due to their own insecurity need you to be smaller. I feel like I can shine with him and also be nothing and we’re good. We’ve been together for almost a year and a half, but lately I’ll whisper in his ear, “I’m falling for you.” And he’s just like, “We’ve been together for a while.” [Laughs]
JS: Do you miss being single?
AS: Not ever. Except I need a lot of alone time. Right now I’m getting my period, and I just don’t like him, you know? My PMS is no joke.
JS: It’s crazy, yeah. I’ve seen it firsthand.
AS: And it’s directed only toward him, but instead of being in denial about that, we try to work with it. [Laughs] Tonight’s vibe is “I don’t want you to even look at me or talk to me,” and he will put on his headphones, do work on his computer, and I’m just in the room. He’s understanding. He’s too good about it. It actually annoys me.

Blind Gossip Exclusive Blind Item - A Painful Scene At A Restaurant
This pretty actress is already the proud owner of a prestigious acting award.
She is currently filming a new movie outside of the United States. She went to dinner at a nice local restaurant with a female companion.
Something was very wrong.
"She’s been to the restaurant before, so it seems that it’s one of her favorites. Last time she was here, she was very kind and friendly to the the staff. She ate everything and raved about the food and took photos with the wait staff and even went back to the kitchen to meet the chef.
This time was completely different.
She came in with a brunette woman. [The Actress] seemed completely out of it. She wouldn’t look at anyone or talk to anyone. She didn’t touch her food. The brunette told the staff that [The Actress] was tired and to leave her alone.
Then the two of them started arguing. The brunette was saying, “Not again! Not again!” and [The Actress] was saying, “I don’t need you! I don’t need either of you! Leave me alone. I’m injured. I’m in pain.”
They left not long later. They did not finish their food. They did leave more than enough money to cover the tab."

Alec Baldwin's Weird Nikki Reed Claim
In Alec Baldwin's new autobiography, Nevertheless, he talks about making the movie Mini's First Time with Nikki Reed, when he was 47, and she was 16. And in case the title of the movie didn't make it clear, they have sex in the movie. Here's what Baldwin had to say in the book:
“I was forty-seven, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was. When I found out, just as we finished, that she was seventeen, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different.”
Producers were quick to refute Baldwin's claims. Producer Dana Brunetti tells The Hollywood Reporter:
"It's a lie. I read it and was like, 'What the fuck. Of course he totally knew how old she was. That’s why there’s no nudity in the movie. He knew before we even cast the movie. I think he’s been method acting Trump too much and he doesn’t know the difference between fake news anymore."
Producer Evan Astrowsky had this to say:
"What Alec says happened is not accurate. I completely corroborate that. We were on set every day. The thing that Alec must remember is that Mini, played by Nikki, is a sophomore in high school. I don’t know what else to say, except Alec, watch the movie. As for yelling at us after the movie, it absolutely never happened."
Mini's First Time writer and director Nick Guthe was also contacted for comment:
"We all knew she was 16. When we discussed it at first, it was a question of meeting with her and making sure she was mature enough to handle the role. On the set, Nikki, being 16, would often speak quickly the way teenagers do, and Alec asked me about that at times because he had trouble understanding her, and I would remind him, ‘She’s 16.’”

Barry Manilow Comes Out
You might be saying to yourself, "Didn't Barry Manilow come out when he married Garry Kief two years ago?" Apparently no; the marriage was only reported on, sans a statement from Barry. But I'm all for someone coming out in whatever way they need to, so if Barry Manilow is ready to come out on the cover of People magazine at the age of 73, I am here for it. Here's what he had to say:
On his first marriage to Susan Deixler:
“I was in love with Susan. I just was not ready for marriage. I was out making music every night, sowing my wild oats — I was too young. I wasn’t ready to settle down.”
On meeting now husband Garry Kief in 1978:
“I knew that this was it. I was one of the lucky ones. I was pretty lonely before that...He’s the smartest person I’ve ever met in my life — and a great guy, too.”
On why he waited so long to come out:
“I’m so private. I always have been...I thought I would be disappointing [my fans] if they knew I was gay. So I never did anything. When they found out that Garry and I were together, they were so happy. The reaction was so beautiful — strangers commenting, ‘Great for you!’ I’m just so grateful for it.”

The Onion King Needs to Take Several Seats
In the ongoing battle for the embryos, Page Six reports that a letter has been filed with the court that was written by Nick Loeb in 2014, while the pair was still engaged. Amazingly, it seems like Loeb submitted it; he must think this makes him look good. Here is a sampling:
“What I do not like and what I will not put up with anymore is the Spanish, and no I do not like hanging out with you when you speak in Spanish with others at the table . . . Not only is it rude and disrespectful, it is classless. And for you to then berate, embarrass and humiliate me in front of others when I ask you to stop is not happening anymore.
...I need to know you are committed to making me and our family first before your business . . . your career and ego have come first . . . that needs to change.”
Yeah, I'm not sure how he thinks this helps his case. I'm sure Sofia Vergara is glad that Loeb is proving how cray he is without her having to lift a finger.

Page Six reports that David Schwimmer, 50, and wife Zoe Buckman, 31, are separating after seven years of marriage. The couple share one child together, daughter Cleo, 5. The couple released the following statement:
“It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship. Blind Gossip Blind Item - His Rules For Dating Success
This grown up actor has succeeded in both films and TV.
You would not describe him as an acting genius, or a hunk, or a superstar, but he has this interesting, sarcastic sense of humor that has kept him working steadily in comedic productions for more than twenty years.
He also does incredibly well with the ladies. He has dated many famous and gorgeous women.
What’s his secret? He plays by his own rules!
"He says that women like him because he’s not just a good talker. He’s a good listener. He makes them feel good about themselves. He says that everyone else in Hollywood is always trying to change them or control them. He just validates them and they like that.
By the way, he’s littler than he says. He says he’s 5’7″ but I’ve stood next to him and he’s more like 5’5″. His dick is actually a normal size, but because he’s so little, it looks huge. He knows how to use it, too. Guess that helps."
Alrighty, then.

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Joke Thief
I may be about to commit sacrilege.
This famous comedian / actor might be beloved by all of us as one of the world's greatest comedic actors, but he was / probably still is despised by the comedy community.
'[name omitted] was the biggest joke thief on two feet,' according to a comedian from back in the day. 'He'd come into a club, spot a comedian killing and do half their routine the next night on Letterman. Scum!'
So, tell me, Gossipers:

Joe Manganiello Talks Typecasting
Joe Manganiello is on the cover of Ocean Drive Magazine. Here are some highlights from the accompanying interview:
You just turned 40. How does that feel?
"It’s great! Forty is like the new 25. I feel better physically than I did in my 30s and definitely in my 20s. I’m not prone to make the same mistakes that I made in my 20s. I’m a little smarter and definitely have more money in the bank. Getting older has its benefits."
How do you maintain your physique and health?
"Probably right around True Blood and Magic Mike—that chapter of my career where I had a lot of these physical roles—was a great excuse for me to see how healthy I could get. And what a difference it made. Heading into my 40s, I really thought, I’m going to be 40 in a couple of years; I should make sure that these years are healthy and I’m pushing as hard as I can. Because, for example, the trainer that I’ve had for the past seven or eight years [Ron Mathews] became the world’s fittest man over 45, and so I looked at him as a model for me."
How ripped were you before Magic Mike and True Blood?
"I’ve worked in film and television since I got out of school, starting with Spider-Man [2002], and built for that. What dictated my getting into the kind of shape I was in for True Blood and Magic Mike was recognizing that it’s work. If you’re going to play a character that’s described in the novel as being built [as in True Blood], then you’re kind of lazy if you don’t do that. And in Magic Mike, if you don’t look like you’re in the best shape of your life, what are you really doing? Do you want to be an actor? Do you want to be successful? Do you want to make money? Do you want to have a career?"
Did you worry after Magic Mike about being typecast?
"I remember when I got the first script for Magic Mike, I was working with Chris Rock and I kind of put my head in my hands, and Chris said, “What’s up?” I told him, “I got this script to read, this offer, this movie. It’s about male strippers.” And he kind of made a face like “Mmm” and said, “Well, who’s directing it?” I told him it was Steven Soderbergh, and he said, “You’ve gotta do that movie.” My response was: “I know, but I have my shirt off a lot on True Blood, and now I’ll have my shirt off in this movie. I’m worried that people aren’t going to be able to see past that and actually look at the work.” And he said, “Look, man, Brad Pitt had his shirt off for 15 years; he’s doing just fine.” Look, True Blood was my big break, but when you do A Streetcar Named Desire at Yale [Repertory Theatre] and the first half of the review talks about your physique, it’s like, Jesus Christ, you know I can act, right?"
Does it frustrate you that the media seems to always focus on that?
"It is what it is. I think the vast majority of writers ask me questions about the work, but they don’t care about the work. It’s the physique questions or the relationship questions that wind up becoming the clickbait that kind of covers up the project that I’m in."
Speaking of which, it must have been nice to get a call for a movie where they don’t care about your physique.
"It’s the Smurfs! It’s a cute movie about little blue people who go on adventures. It’s going to be fun. But once again the press is like, “So your Smurf has his shirt off?” Every Smurf has his shirt off—they all do!"
How do you let loose?
"I’m an avid reader, so I’m always reading something. I love just hanging out with my wife. We just have a great time together—we’re great, we just laugh all day long. If I had my choice, it would be just jumping in the car with my wife and taking a weekend trip somewhere."

Anne Hathaway Is So Over the Haters
Anne Hathaway recently sat down for an interview with Jezebel while promoting her new movie Colossal, where she talked about having haters. Here are some highlights:
Earlier this year you’d announced that you were taking a break from social media, and you’ve been posting less.
"It’s funny because with this movie, I’ve been asked to up my social media... thing. I’ve been shooting a lot of dumb videos all day. Just silly little things, they don’t really say anything. I’m going to post them on Instagram stories, but I’m not going to post them to my Instagram. I’m happy to post them on Instagram Stories, because I feel like I can be a little freer and a little looser, but the Instagram stuff... it’s going to stick around for as long as anybody cares to look for what is there.
I might be inviting some criticism by mentioning this, but when have I ever not invited criticism? [Laughs] When has any public figure ever not? But I had never posted a photo of my son, and I decided to post a shot of the back of his head, and almost as soon as I’d done it, I wished that I hadn’t. I felt like I had broken some kind of a seal in inviting people into my life. And even though I felt as though I had done it in as protective a way as I could, even though it was a moment I was incredibly proud of, I don’t know that I’ll ever do it again. I’m a big believer that you gotta mess things up sometimes to really see them properly, so if I made a mistake or I messed up, I know how I feel about it much better now. Instagram, when I first started, it was so much fun. And it was a great way to be silly and kind of do things off the cuff. And now, because of the time we live in, I think words and pictures are carrying a much greater weight. Or, much less depending on how you engage with it."
I wonder what you thought about Gloria (her character in Colossal) being an internet writer, given the way you have been talked about on the internet. You’ve talked about it hurting your feelings. Was it a mode of empathy to play someone who could have potentially written, “Everybody Hates Anne Hathaway” four years ago?
"It’s very interesting to be talking to you about it, because I love your site, but for a while I had to stop reading it because I would just be reading about something totally unrelated to me and [see] a headline about me and how much your site dislikes me or whoever was writing it dislikes me would come up. That would catch me off-guard. Now, it’s not that I’ve gotten a rhino skin to it, but I sort of see all of that for what it is. As far as Gloria, I thought it could be a positive overlap given my history with that aspect of her life, if you wanted to look at it from that vantage point. And if you didn’t want to look at it from that vantage point, it just seemed like a very timely profession for someone like her to be doing. Like just about everything in this movie, it resonated on several levels."
I thought that conversation was overblown. I think it originated from a place like, “Here’s this wonderfully talented A-list actor, we can take her down a peg,” and then it got to be such a thing that you became an underdog. And maybe that mechanism is why we don’t really hear that conversation anymore. I mean, how much have you thought about this? It’s weird to talk about, right?
"I think it’s weird that it continues to be talked about a little bit. I understand in the context of this movie, why it should be brought up. But it comes up in every interview I do, just about. I am... not eager, but I am ready for the conversation to move to a place beyond it. I don’t have to contextualize all of my stories, all of my experiences through that time. I’m ready for it to be implied, not overtly stated. But I’m also not in the driver’s seat of this interview. But I do appreciate the things that you say. That’s a kind way of interpreting it."
Did it change you at all? Did that conversation change the way you thought about your image or choices you make? How much did you internalize it?
"Um... it made the pause before I answer this question a lot longer. I was just reading [Susan Sontag: The Complete Rolling Stone Interview] at lunch, and she said, I’m going to paraphrase it right now, “I don’t try to change other people—it’s so much easier to change yourself.” How the world feels about me has nothing to do with me. How other people treat me has nothing to do with me. But if anything that anybody said resonated with me as something I’d like to work on for myself, I took it in like that. And to that extent, I feel like I got to shortcut a lot of my growth. To that extent, even though I wouldn’t have chosen to go through it, I still found a way to be grateful to it."

Melanie Griffith Talks Bad Plastic Surgery and Past Loves
Melanie Griffith recently sat down for an interview with Porter Magazine. Here's what she had to say:
“I didn’t [realize] until people started saying, ‘Oh my God, what has she done?!’ I was so hurt I went to a different doctor and he started dissolving all of this shit that this other woman doctor had put in. Hopefully, I look more normal now.”
On Don Johnson:
“The minute I met him, I had this mad fucking teenage crush on him! I fell in love immediately. [When] we got back together; it was the most natural, perfect, loving thing. Then it just sort of wasn’t working. I think it’s hard when you are both in the public eye, unless one of you gives up work.”
On Antonio Banderas:
“I think part of the reason my marriage to Antonio fell apart was because I was stuck; nobody else is to blame. It’s just that I personally got stuck and I won’t let that happen again, I want to enjoy life, I want to do whatever I want to do.”
On Warren Beatty, Ryan O'Neal, and Jack Nicholson:
“I did have a little thing with those three back in the day. Yeah, they were awesome. I am friends with all of them, pretty much. I’m sure there’s a couple I’ve forgotten about.”
