The worst part about living in LA is when you go outside to get fresh air and you remember you live in LA.— Courtney Love Cobain (@Courtney) November 18, 2016
Bex Taylor-Klaus Comes Out
MTV's Scream and The Killing actress Bex Taylor-Krause, 22, recently took to her Twitter to state, "hello my name is be and yes the rumors are true I am v gay." Bex followed that up with a YouNow Q&A session, where she had this to say, as reprinted by E! News:
On how she feels about coming out:
"Terrified, absolutely terrified."
On why it's important to come out publicly:
"Part of why I'm coming out is because there's so much hate and fear in and around the LGBT community right now and it's important for us not to halt progress out of fear. Yes, it's a scary time, but we need to stand up and say, even if you are afraid, I'm not afraid, or even if I am afraid, I'm strong. I am who I am and you can't take that away from me."
She later thanked fans on Twitter, saying "Thank you for all of the love and support since lats night - it truly means a lot!"

Elon Musk is Divorced Again
Good news for Amber Heard! Page Six reports that Elon Musk and Talulah Riley have finalized their divorce for the second time. The pair were married the first time around from 2010 to 2012, and this latest time started in 2013. The couple have a prenup (because Billionaire), so Riley got an undisclosed lump sum in lieu of spousal support.
Marc Anthony Divorcing Again
Sometimes a kiss is just a kiss, and sometimes it's not. TMZ reports that one day after Marc Anthony kissed ex-wife Jennifer Lopez onstage at the Latin Grammys, he has separated from his wife Shannon De Lima after two years together. The couple do not share any children. This was Marc's fourth marriage. Oh, and in case you were wondering, J Lo's manager Benny Medina says that Marc and J Lo are "absolutely, categorically, 100% not back together."

Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Rejection
Ooohhh! This singer is mad! She controls her personal image very carefully and wants you to think that she is a success in everything she does.
She hates it when you talk about gigs she didn’t score. If you try to point out anything that didn’t go well, she runs directly to the magazines and websites who will lie for her and claim that it never happened or is totally exaggerated or that whoever said it is a liar.
What is she going to do now about a major actor is talking about her being rejected for a major film role? Call him a liar? Have her publicist call his publicist to get him to try to retract or backpedal? Say that she is the one who rejected the role because she couldn’t fit the filming schedule into her busy life? This could be interesting!

Popbitch Blind Item - Shout It Out
Which usually-beloved British actor wasn’t making many new friends on a recent trip to a London hospital? He feared a Pink Floyd gig had caused him permanent ear damage – which maybe explains why so many people heard him shout “DON’T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?” at hospital staff who didn’t give him immediate attention. (We’d name him, but he’s already threatened legal action against one paper on this story…)

The Hollywood Reporter's Songwriter Roundtable
The Hollywood Reporter recently gathered Justin Timberlake, Sting, Alicia Keys, Tori Amos, John Legend, and Pharrell Williams for their first-ever Songwriter Roundtable discussion. Here are some of the highlights:
At what point in your life did you first fall in love with music?
ALICIA KEYS "I was about 4 years old. I remember the moment that it happened. It was somewhere between Cookie Monster, when he sang this song —"
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE "C Is for Cookie"?
KEYS No. "I Left My Cookie at the Disco." And on the other side was "It's Not Easy Being Green."
JOHN LEGEND "Oh, I love that song."
KEYS "So that kind of cross-sectioned with a teacher that I had who was really a big music lover and encouraged us to do theater and songs, and I learned "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." And that all gave me my moment to learn how to sing and see what it felt like. And it felt like this feeling I couldn't describe and I still can't describe it now."
PHARRELL WILLIAMS "I thought everybody was in love with music. I thought we all had those things where that one part in the Stevie Wonder song or the Earth, Wind and Fire song or the Steely Dan song, the bridge, was the thing that made everybody say, "Yeah, that part!" I thought everyone did that. And then you get in junior high school and you start saying those kinds of things and then …"
KEYS "Nobody knows what you're talking about."
WILLIAMS "And then they start giving you that look, like, "I knew those pants were weird but … (Laughter.) Yeah. It's more than just your pants.""
When you write a song, do you have a sense of whether it's going to be a hit?
LEGEND "I'm in love with all my songs right when I finish them. That's my problem. 'Cause part of the joy of writing is that completion where you feel like, "Oh, this feels good." And I feel that every time I finish a song. So I can't trust that because a couple of months may go by and then I realize which ones really stand out."
WILLIAMS "People who say, "This is going to be a hit" are as unsuccessful as those who create hashtags. You know? Let's do a hashtag call for action. It never works. But then when some seemingly random person who isn't really random has something that really means something to them, they say it, that becomes the greatest hashtag. So just like a hashtag and just like a hit, we have nothing to do with that. We just ideate. People don't have to respond. It's not guaranteed that they will."
STING "The biggest compliment I receive as a songwriter is when someone says, "I fell in love to one of your songs," or "When we brought our first kid home, your song was on the radio," or "We buried Uncle Charlie with one of your songs." That means more than nominations, Grammys, BMI or whatever. Basically by accident creating the soundtrack for people's emotional lives, that is a huge privilege."
Tori, were there moments when people were trying to guide you to be something different than who you felt authentically you were?
AMOS "Little Earthquakes was rejected when I turned it in."
TIMBERLAKE "That album changed my life, man. So fucking good."
AMOS "They wanted to take all the pianos off and replace them with guitars."
TIMBERLAKE "What?"
AMOS "Oh, yes. This was recommended by someone who — I respected his work, he was a great arranger, and he couldn't hear it. Because he was part of the record industry, he was trying to look for something that had already happened. Tracy Chapman had already happened [so he was chasing that]. But I looked at Doug Morris [then-co-chairman and co-CEO of Atlantic Recording Group], whom I love, and I said, "You are not touching these pianos. Sell me to Gary Gersh [then a top A&R exec at Geffen Records]." And he looked at me and goes (shakes head no). I said, "Why not? You guys have been selling us [women] for thousands of years. Sell me to Gary 'cause you'll get your money back 'cause he knows what to do." He said, "Tori, I'm not selling you. If Gary wants you, I want you. I'm keeping you. Who do you want to produce it?" I said, "OK, so you're bringing in another man again? Is that what you're doing?" And he looked at me and he goes, "What, are you going to produce?" I said, "And why not?""
WILLIAMS "Another man again or another mannequin?"
TIMBERLAKE "Another mannequin, that's what I heard, too! (Laughter.) Whoa! You know what? I was going to hold on to that because I was like, "Let me just access that when I need it, when I'm writing another song," but (to Pharrell) you just ruined it, so no. I'm kidding."
AMOS "I wouldn't charge you for it"

Kaley Cuoco Opens Up About Plastic Surgery
Kaley Cuoco is on the cover of December's Women's Health Magazine. Here's what she had to say:
On plastic surgery:
"Years ago, I had my nose done and my boobs -- best thing I ever did. Recently I had a filler in a line in my neck I’ve had since I was 12. As much as you want to love your inner self...I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing."
On her workout of choice:
"I tried spinning, I tried running, I tried yoga, I tried Pilates. I realized I don’t like running…I refuse to do it. I like spinning, so I try to mix that in. When I found hot yoga, I fell in love with it and was like, this is my thing. Sometimes do I want to get up in the morning and do it? No. But when I get out, I feel like a million bucks...It used to be so easy, I didn’t have to do as much. Now, it’s part of my day—working out is part of my day, eating right is part of my day."
On breakfast:
"When I wake up, I have the same little bit of peanut butter on toast every morning."
On her cheat meal:
"Tonight I’ll be going to In-N-Out and doing one of their grilled cheeses, massive fries, and a shake. That’d be a cheat for me...No more meat, I’m like, done."

Isla Fisher Talks Doppelgänger Amy Adams
Isla Fisher recently appeared on the Today show, where she had this to say, as reprinted by People:
“One year for our holiday greeting card, I cut and pasted Amy Adams’ face over mine. So it was Sacha, Amy and the kids and then we said, ‘Season’s greetings from Sasha, Isla’ — no one noticed."
On Wedding Crashers 2:
“I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said apparently we are going to be making a sequel. I’m excited to see what happened to Gloria!”

Bobbi Kristina's Estate Wins Big
Nick Gordon was found liable for the death of Bobbi Kristina earlier this year. Yesterday, a judge handed down the charges. TMZ reports that Nick Gordon has been ordered to pay $36 million to the estate of Bobbi Kristina. The breakdown includes $1.5 million for stealing assets, $5.5 million for assault and battery/medical damages, $13 million for pain and suffering, $15 million for loss of life and potential future income. The state had originally hoped for $40 million. No word on how much money the estate will actually see from Gordon.
Terms of Mariah Carey's Divorce
Speaking of Nick Cannon, TMZ has the details of the couple's divorce. In 2014, Mariah made $6.7 million, while Nick made $2.7 million. Nick must put away $5K/mo in a trust for the kids; Mariah doesn't have to put in anything. The couple have joint custody, but the kids are mostly with Mariah, and when Nick visits, Mariah has to foot the bill for his travel and lodging. Nick gets a 2012 Ferrari. And neither Nick nor Mariah can let the kids call any new significant others Mom or Dad, or any variation thereof.
Nick Cannon To Be a Father Again
Us Weekly reports that Nick Cannon, 36, who recently finalized his divorce from Mariah Carey, is going to be a dad again. Apparently when he was dating Brittany Bell, 28, on and off since 2014, he managed to get her pregnant. On a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Cannon stated, "I've got a baby on the way. God said be fruitful and multiply. I'm doing the Lord's work...everybody get a baby! I'm passing them out." Cannon is already father to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 5, with Mariah Carey. Hmmm, I wonder how his girlfriend Chilli from TLC feels about all this?

Happy Second Anarchversary
Happy Anarchversary, Anarchists!
As promised two years ago, Anarchy is still ad-free and mobile friendly. And because you sometimes ask, ad-free means there is no revenue. No money is made from this site. This site is not about clickbait and trying to drive up page view numbers to increase revenue, it is about you. It is about the community. And in my opinion, there shouldn't be a profit motive in building a community.
2016 has seen a lot of losses, but through it all, we were there for each other. The sentiment from last year remains the same - Thank you for reading and commenting, for snarking and supporting your fellow Anarchists. You are all the reason that this site exists. You are one badass community. Let's make it another great year!
XOXO,

Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Less She Wears
She is a young actor on a popular TV show. She makes tons of money, but she may be about to make a mistake that she will never be able to take back!
The less she wears… the more attention she gets… and the more social media followers she obtains. That’s just the beginning.
She thinks that this is what adult women have to do to be sexy. She watches what the reality stars do to get attention and to get followers and she thinks that’s what she needs to do. Now she wants to wear sheer clothing, do nip slips, and then finally some nude photos that will leak “accidentally.”
She is of age, so this isn’t a legal issue. She just doesn’t have the kind of parental guidance to help her understand that this might not be the best move if she wants a long-term career as an actress.

The Gossip Life Blind Item - New Therapist
You may have noted this former A-list actor has calmed down in recent years. Our sources tell us the sole reason for the change in behaviour is his new therapist in New York, who apparently has really helped our actor get through his issues.
Our actor doesn't want to publicise his process, however, because he's afraid of the situation changing.
Glad that it's working.
So, tell me, Gossipers:

Ashley Benson Talks Holiday Plans
Now that Pretty Little Liars has wrapped, Ashley Benson has left LA and moved to NYC. She recently sat down for an interview with People to talk about her plans for Christmas morning:
“I go to my grandma’s house, and she makes the most incredible meal. I’ve been doing it since the day I was born. She makes this incredible egg dish with tortillas and onions and vegetables and tomatoes and bakes it. It’s so, so good. She makes these sticky buns. It’s my favorite thing to eat. And we really only eat them on Christmas Day. Everyone always looks forward to that meal, and I eat about seven or eight in one sitting.”
On whether or not she'll do any cooking:
“I’m kind of a bad cook. I’ll do cookies and cakes. I wouldn’t be trusted in the kitchen.”
On holiday beverages:
“It’s always fun to come up with creative holiday drinks. I can never make them. But hot toddies in the winter are so good. Hot chocolate, too. I’ll watch Christmas movies like Home Alone and The Grinch. I watch it every single year, like over and over again. I love having people get together, playing games, just enjoying the holidays.”

Kelly Clarkson Talks Happiness
Kelly Clarkson is on the cover of December's Good Housekeeping. Here are some highlights from her interview:
You have a lot going on — how would you rate your happiness level?
Kelly Clarkson: "I'm so happy. The fact that I've managed to find a husband who understands and respects everything I do is astonishing. The fact that I have these four beautiful kids [River Rose, 2; Remington, 7 months; and stepchildren Savannah, 15, and Seth, 10] … I just lucked out. I'm waiting for the floor to drop out from under me."
GH: You said it was tough dealing with fame at one point. Why?
KC: "I was in a very dark place for a long time. It's just so hard to have normalcy. I love to sing, and I love to talk to people at meet-and-greets. It's just all the crap that comes along with this job … I don't love traveling, because I'm never home. It's hard when you have a family."
GH: How does your fame affect how you're raising your family?
KC: "I was a poor kid, and my mom was a single mother of three. My kids are obviously growing up very privileged, but I want them to have a servant's heart. We do community service as a family, and I also call them out on things like getting impatient when they stand in line — because they hardly ever have to. But that's just the reality of what they were born into."
GH: Have you ever thought of not doing this anymore, of giving it up?
KC: "Oh, all the time. I mean, I'm always going to be a singer, but the level I'm at … I have constant guilt. I don't have to work; I think it's because I have that option that I feel the guilt. But it's important for my girls, especially, to see me as a woman accomplishing all these things while nailing it as a mom. I always come back to that."
GH: What's the upside of your fame?
KC: "It's amazing to impact people's lives — it's a cool thing to have the spotlight and be able to reassure people, to say, "It's OK to be you." I feel like you can be the best role model by being yourself. The fact that I get to do what I love and 14 years in, I'm still doing it — I don't know how anything could get better."

Brooke Mueller Breaks Down Again
TMZ reports that Brooke Mueller, ex of Charlie Sheen, is currently in the hospital in Utah undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. What led to this? It all started Tuesday night, when Brooke decided that 7 is the right age to start bringing your kids to the bar, so she wandered into one barefoot with twins in tow, and tried to bum a cigarette.
Brooke then got in a fight with her nanny, then bolted before cops came. She spent Tuesday night flitting around to different hotels, and was next spotted early Wednesday morning, appearing to swing at her kids at a carwash. A witness called cops again, and by the end of Wednesday Brooke was found and held for psych eval. The twins have been released to an undisclosed family member. I really hope that Charlie has invested well, because those poor kids are going to need all the money for their therapy bills when they're older.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - He Will Never Give Up
Even after they broke up, The Tall Man still wanted her.
She tried to completely cut him off, but he persisted, using whatever methods were at his disposal to stay in her life. It didn’t matter to him that she hates him for it. For him, having her feel anything about him is better than having no connection to her at all.
Why? Because he is absolutely certain that if he hangs in there, he will win her back, and that they will eventually marry and have a family!
Recently, his spirits were buoyed when he found out that our TV Actress is having trouble with her hunky new husband. The Tall Man sees this as an opportunity! Yes, he is persistent. No matter how much she professes to dislike him, he is sure that he will win her back. Now if he could just get The Hunk out of the picture…

The Gossip Life Blind Item - The Voice Wannabe
Move over, Miley Cyrus!
This eternal A-list icon badly wants a coaching position on The Voice. 'She's been after it for awhile,' whispers my source, 'but it might actually happen within the year. She think it'll make her more relevant than she's been in a long time.'
Our A-list icon is set to initiate the talks within the next 6 months, but apparently the producers and the network already have plans and contracts laid out for the next couple of years, so she'll have to be very convincing.
So, tell me, Gossipers:

Life Advice from Ricky Gervais
Ricky Gervais recently sat down for an interview with Esquire UK, where he revealed what he has learned in life. Here are some of the highlights:
"A manual is to be put in the bottom drawer never to be opened. If I can't work something out then I don't want it.
Don't view success as anything other than happiness. If you're happy then nothing else matters.
I grew up loving every creature. If I saw a toad in my garden, it was a privilege that I'd bumped into this amazing wild animal. We all have the same amount of rights to be on this planet and we're all just trying to survive.
People who hate "the c-word" would hear it less if they didn't go around acting like cunts.
I enjoy food because it tastes good. I don't enjoy food that's good for me. I don't enjoy lettuce. I don't enjoy pure protein. I enjoy pasta with half a pound of Parmesan on it and a bottle of red wine; if I didn't then I wouldn't have to work out like Rocky every day. Being healthy, to me, is dying as slowly as you can. That's all it is.
I can't stand incompetence. You know when you buy a tent and there's one peg missing? I'll never get over that.
No one needs to work. You work because you want the things it gives you. I don't just mean the ability to buy mansions and boats; I mean self-worth and fun. There's nothing I'd rather be doing than writing and directing and stand-up. I mean, that's allowed me to buy mansions and boats but when I'm in the mansion or the boat I'm thinking of a funny joke.
Everything I've done is a little bit existential. It's all about people wondering if they've done the right thing.
I've never understood the psychology of wanting to see an animal suffer. When a vet puts down a cat that's in pain it's the kind thing to do. The vet doesn't then lie next to the cat and take a selfie. A vet has never said, "Can I see if I can do it with a bow and arrow?"
I cry at happy things more than sad things. I'll cry at The Waltons.
If I had my way I'd have three tracksuits, three pairs of pyjamas and lots of black T-shirts... I've just described my wardrobe. I wear things until they're worn out and then I wish I'd bought two of them. I gave up fashion at 28. I just want comfort.
The more you find out, the more you need to know.
It doesn't worry me that one day I'm not going to exist any more. I cherish being alive. I'm like a dog. Every day is my best day.
What's the secret to a long and happy relationship? My favourite answer came from Larry Hagman. He said, "Separate bathrooms."

Attitude UK Blind Item - Spice Girls
In the 20 years since Wannabe changed the course of pop history forever, the Spice Girls have endured as many dramas, fall-outs and splits as you can expect from any girl band. And in this month’s Attitude, the artist formerly known as Sporty revealed how her new album, Version of Me, deals with the negative side to the band’s astronomical success.
“Version of Me is about being bullied,” Mel explained. “About being in a situation as a young adult where I felt bullied and how that has affected me, and molded me in a way.
“Unfortunately, being bullied can really damage people and even when you are stronger and over it, it can still be in the background – undermining you. I hope people will Identify with that track.”
Asked if the bullying occurred during her time in the Spice Girls, Mel replies: “Yes. I’m not going to name names. But yes.”
She continues: “It’s been addressed, they were aware of what they’d done. They apologised.”
Reflecting on her time in the group, the 42-year-old explains that she would have liked to have been “a bit stronger,” admitting she let certain people in her life take advantage of her.
“Now I’m older,” she insists, “I’m a lot more confident and I will not be shat upon. But when I was younger I let people shit on me. What’s done is done but I’d have liked to have been a bit stronger.
“When we were kids we were so hard on each other and so determined to succeed that if anybody fell out of line they were quickly brought back in. That was quite a lot of pressure to live under.”

Anna Kendrick Talks New Book
Anna Kendrick's new book, Scrappy Little Nobody, is out now. Kendrick recently sat down for an interview with E! News, where she previewed some of the topics covered in the book. Here's what she had to say:
On what celebrities appear in the book:
"I mention Chris Pine three times. I love him so much."
On working with Orlando Bloom:
"I wish 15 year old me had realized I was making out with Legolas. [I had to make sure I] didn't permanently damage the money maker."
On Zac Efron:
"I'm morbidly interested in Charles Manson. I've always wondered what is it about Manson that was so charismatic? Then I met Zac and was like, 'Oh, there it is.' I'm glad [Zac] hasn't asked me or anyone else to murder someone for him because I probably would (she said jokingly)."
On talking about her sex life in the book:
"I sent my mom, my dad, and my brother copies that I put Post-It notes of where they should skip to, so that they didn't see anything that would scar their brains. I fully sent them special copies where I redacted certain chapters."
Her response when asked why she doesn't want to have kids:
"Well, if I have kids, it's just another kid that your kid is going to have to fight when the water wars come. The zombie apocalypse is coming, and with my genes, I don't think that they're going to last. They're just going to be food."

E! News reports that New Kids On the Block singer Jonathan Knight, 47, is engaged to longtime love Harley Rodriquez. Knight recently revealed the news on Jenny McCarthy's Sirius XM series Inner Circle: "We have always considered ourselves a married couple. I just figured this was the time to pop the question and make it official. I went out and bought rings three weeks before we left for Africa. He had no clue...There were hippopotamus in the background and we saw crocodiles swimming by and everything. Oh, and it was a super moon on top of that, so it was absolutely beautiful and so romantic. I just said, 'Now is the time to do it.'"

Carrie Fisher Totes Hit It With Harrison Ford
Great news, Carrie Fisher fans! People reports that Carrie Fisher has written a new book called The Princess Diarist, due out November 22nd, about what happened behind the scenes of the first Star Wars movie. In the book, she reveals that at 19, she was getting it on with Harrison Ford, who was then 33 and married with two children:
“It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend.”
After their first time:
“I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”
On her feelings about the affair:
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind.”
I think we know what Gary will be thinking about when he's humping his pillow tonight!

The Onion King: Never Give Up, Never Give In Edition
Remember when Sofia Vergara was engaged to Nick Loeb? I bet she really regrets that now. Page Six reports that the latest in their court fight over embryos, which started in 2015, has reached a new milestone. Vergara is demanding that Loeb reveal the names of two of his former girlfriends who both underwent abortions (in case it's not clear, Loeb was the person responsible for both pregnancies). The court has sided with Vergara, but Loeb is refusing to release the names. Loeb stated, “I would rather go to jail than reveal the names. I believe we have to protect a woman’s right to privacy...Not only are Plaintiff’s [Loeb’s] privacy rights under attack but so are the rights of third-party individuals who have nothing to do with [Loeb’s] relationship with Ms. Vergara, the embryos or the litigation.”

Michael Stipe Talks Out of Time
R.E.M.'s Out of Time turns 25 years old this year. In celebration of that anniversary, the album is being re-released on Friday with the addition of demos, an acoustic live recording, and eight music videos. In anticipation of the release, Michael Stipe sat down for an interview with the New York Times. Here's what he had to say:
On the song Losing My Religion:
“For someone who had no real grand ambitions, to have a ‘song of the summer’ was possibly the greatest possible gift that I could receive.”
On deciding to include some demos in the re-release:
“I don’t want to hear every live recording or demo that Bob Dylan ever made. That’s not my thing...You’re seeing me really reaching, in some cases really over- or under-reaching, to try and find a melody, to work out a lyric to see if it’s working or not with the music; never to be heard. And here, 25 years later, we’re offering it to the public.”
Do you have favorite moments on the record that you enjoyed performing most?
"Performing is one thing, because I don’t have perfect pitch, so there’s anxiety, and I know where I always go flat, so that’s a problem. I know the songs you can just bark out and they’re always going to sound fun and exuberant, no matter how off-pitch you are. But listening, there are moments the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I get that kind of “Wow, something quite profound is happening there.” The “I need this” at the end of “Country Feedback” is about as raw as it gets."
How did “Losing My Religion” change your life?
"I remember the first time I walked up Fifth Avenue and suddenly everyone recognized me. I was ready for it — we’d been doing it for 11 years, and I was ready to step up, I think. I was pretty grounded at that point. What you want as a fantasy idea of what fame brings, versus what it actually brings, are two very different things. The reality is never quite as sexy. That said, I love my life, I enjoy being a public figure, and most everything that brings."
“Out of Time” opened up possibilities for what the “R.E.M. sound” could be.
"We were really stretching ourselves, trying really hard to push what we did. Looking back, it makes sense that the next record would be “Automatic for the People,” that it’d be a radically different step. And the next would be “Monster,” a record that nobody liked. But everyone expected another version of “Automatic” and we weren’t about to give them that. So in a way we shot ourselves in the foot. But it turns out, 20 years later, that’s not a bad record, “Monster.” And then we released my favorite album of our entire canon, which is “New Adventures in Hi-Fi.” It’s a band at our very peak. And then, of course, Bill [Berry, the group’s original drummer] left the band."
You’ve just begun singing again, for the first time in years. Have you at least stayed limber with karaoke?
"Depending how much beer has been had, I do a really great version of “Justify My Love,” usually involving everyone in the room. So I’ll rewrite it to fit the occasion. I think the last time was in Paris. Actually, “I want to kiss you in Paris,” that’s the first line, so you have to do “Justify My Love.”"

"Contrary to popular rumor, it is not about her race. It is about her profession, her nationality, the nude photos, the breast implants, etc. The family is all about dignity and gravitas, and she simply does not fit. They are quite careful not to direct him to break up with her, but they are also quite clear about their lack of enthusiasm for her. Ryan Reynolds Talks Family Life
Ryan Reynolds is on the cover of December's GQ's magazine. Here are some highlights from the accompanying interview:
In a few hours, you're going to be a father of two.
"I'm on the precipice of having a real American family. I mean, I always imagined that would happen, and then it happened. Every idiotic Hallmark-card cliché is true."
You just seem more comfortable being yourself than you have in the past.
"I think that was a slightly fear-based reaction—I never wanted to reveal too much. Even now I'm a little nervous, because you're having a conversation with somebody, and you could say something that either (a) just exposes your utter explosive ignorance about any given subject or (b) could be misinterpreted. I used to just shut down, like, "Okay, only crack jokes and cover the subject at hand in a very kind of cursory way." But I've embraced the fact that I'm smart. I've embraced the fact that I'm an idiot. I've embraced the fact that I'm funny. If this were five, four, three years ago even, I wouldn't have been like, "Come on in to my home, meet the baby." It's all human life. Take it or leave it."
When did you know it was going to happen with Blake?
"Probably after the sex. No, we were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, "Want to dance?" No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, "Oh, I think I just crossed a line." And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that."
Do you remember the song?
"I do, but I'm not gonna say. You're shut out."
What are your favorite Ryan Reynolds movies?
"Buried, Adventureland. The Voices, Mississippi Grind. I love Deadpool with my last beating heart. I like Van Wilder. If you watch that, I'm just wholesale robbing from Chevy Chase."
He has that same kind of detached quality that you sometimes do.
"There's an empathetic arrogance that he has. Despite the fact that he's telling you "Do not like me" and he's writing lines for himself that are meant to impale your sense of good taste, you're attracted to him."

No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, "Oh, I think I just crossed a line." And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that."
Do you remember the song?
"I do, but I'm not gonna say. You're shut out."
