Teen Mom Star Amber Portwood Calls Off Engagement

E! News reports that Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood, 27, has called off her engagement to Matt Baier, 46. A source says of the couple, "For the time being, Matt and Amber's engagement is on hold. They are working on their relationship. A lot has come out through the course of filming and from various online stories. That has added extra pressure and made things difficult. They've both been open about their personal struggles, but it hasn't been easy when their lives are under such heavy scrutiny. Despite their issues, they are still living together and are hopeful things can be fixed."

Felicity Jones is Engaged

People reports that Rogue One star Felicity Jones, 33, is engaged to actor Charles Guard. The couple has been dating for two years. Although Jones is tight-lipped about their relationship, she previously had this to say about being a romantic: “I am definitely romantic and I love romantic stories — that’s why I keep making romantic movies. It’s funny how seeing a love story never gets boring because it’s the dream isn’t it? It’s the dream to have a true connection with another human being.”

Huma Abedin Divorcing Anthony Weiner

The New York Post reports that Huma Abedin filed for divorce from husband Anthony Weiner on Friday. Earlier in the day, TMZ reports that Anthony Weiner was in a federal courtroom for sexting a 15-year-old girl. Weiner pled guilty, will serve prison time of between 21 to 27 months, will register as a sex offender, and surrender his iPhone. Okay, that last one is weird; he can just go out and buy another one. Abedin and Weiner were married for 7 years, and have one child together, son Jordan, 5.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - A Royal Pain For Producers

This actress has been on a successful cable TV show for several seasons. She has appeared in every episode of the series since it began.

The story lines for the new season have already been laid out. Many of the episodes for the season are already written. They’ve already started filming.

There’s a problem. She wants off the show. Now.

Will they let her go? Well, it’s a messy situation.

They want her on the show. It would be a royal pain to write her out. It could also hurt the show’s ratings to have her leave. Not only that,

"[She] is under contract. They’ve already been trying to accommodate her. If she no-shows, they have cause to fire her. That would likely mean the end of her acting career."

Then again, maybe she doesn’t care if her acting career ends? Seems like she is getting very close to a much bigger role than that of an actress in a cable TV series.

Kyle MacLachlan Talks New Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan sat down for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the premiere of Showtime's new Twin Peaks episodes, which begin airing on Sunday. Here are some highlights:

How are you feeling, now that the world is days away from putting eyes on the new Twin Peaks?
"It's funny, isn't it? It feels exactly that way: a long time coming. But it feels like we're all coming into focus now, and everyone is turning our way. It's very exciting. There's been a lot of activity."

How often were you thinking about Agent Cooper in the years since you last played the character?
"You know, off and on through the time that it was not on. It's a character who really stayed with me. He's one of the greatest characters that I have ever played, certainly. I always thought in the back of my mind that we could actually return there at some point in time if the stars aligned. It's not that I was sitting around hoping it would happen, but I felt it would be kind of fun were it to happen. It was always a what if. Were it to happen, it would be really fun to revisit. It wasn't something where I was thinking, "We have to get this done." It was more, "Well, let's see what happens. Let's see if a story develops with David and Mark.""

Was there any hesitation in putting that suit back on, returning to this world? Did any part of you wonder if it was a door you should be opening again?
"No, not at all. When I spoke with David about it, and he told me what was happening, we didn't talk much about the journey itself, just that he and Mark were working on this. I was excited about the prospect, because he said, "I'm going to be directing every episode." And I felt, "Wow." If you're going to return to Twin Peaks, there's no better way to do it than to have the creator also be the director of every frame. That, to me, was very exciting. But no, no trepidation at all. Just excitement, and curiosity, certainly, about what the story was going to be, and the journey that Cooper was going to be taking."

The revival is shrouded in secrecy. We know nothing about the story, except that it takes place 25 years after the original series' cancellation. What's your view on all of the secrecy, the fact that the details of the plot are being held so close to the chest?
"I think it's terrific. I'm excited about the idea. I'm actually thrilled about the idea, that we've been able to keep it under wraps, which was the idea from the very, very beginning. When I had my first reading of the script, I read it at the studio in a room by myself. Of course, I didn't tell them I took photographs of every page… (Laughs) No, I didn't do that. They let me read it all the way through, and then I had to pass the script back. The pages were then distributed out, and I was one of the ones who had most of the script, which I needed. Most people just received what was pertinent to them. Again, it was an effort to keep things contained, and also to help us. That way, if anyone asks us about the story, we could say, "I don't really know!" As opposed to feeling an obligation to say something, or maybe you would feel compelled out of your own sense of whatever to say it's about this or this. There were no opportunities for that. I love that people are going to be embarking on this fresh. For something that's so well known, it's going to be a whole new journey. I think that's wonderful."

Kerry Washington Finds Her Strength

Kerry Washington recently sat down for an interview with Net-a-Porter's The Edit. Here's what she had to say:

On Olivia Pope's mantra:
“We will not fail. We will not go down. We will fight the fight. There’s always a solution. Saying those words, week after week, they’ve sapped into my bloodstream. Now I feel that way. I wake up, I have a house full of kids and pets, a new production company, I’m number one on the call sheet, and I think: ‘I will not go down. There’s always another way.’”

On managing a work-life balance:
“I can be covered in spit-up on a conference call while I’m pumping and that’s OK, because this is my perfect. It may not be somebody else’s, but this is mine.”

On more diversity in television:
“[When Scandal debuted in 2012], I was exhausted from doing interviews about being the first black woman on TV [in a dramatic series lead] in 40 years, and now it’s not even a thing. This is just what TV looks like; it looks like all of us.
That isn’t to say that black women are all of us – I mean, now Priyanka Chopra has a show [Quantico] and there’s [Asian-American comedy] Fresh Off the Boat. It really is
becoming more inclusive.”

The Rock Talks About His First Time

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently sat down for an interview with Elle Magazine. Here's what he had to say:

ELLE: I heard you use cologne to get into character. What fragrance did you choose for Mitch Buchannon in Baywatch?
Dwayne Johnson: "Mitch's fragrance was Kenzo pour Homme. [Laughs] I'm really weird that way. I try to stay at 30,000 feet and have that perspective. But when it boils down to these little things, there was always something sensory to me. That particular scent reminded me of the outdoors and being by the water. And there was a hint of sexiness and fun to it. It wasn't a complicated smell."

Speaking of sexiness, tell me about losing your virginity. Would you have done anything differently?
"Um…I wouldn't have been so good at it? I mean, where do you go after that.… [Laughs] That's the A side to the answer. Now the B side to that is—I would not have been in a park. I would have preferred not to have been caught by the cops."

That really happened?
"Yes, my friend. We shouldn't have been in the park in the first place. All of a sudden, a big spotlight came on us. Bang. You hear the cop roll down the window and say, "Ma'am, are you okay? Will you come to the car?" She gets dressed, comes to the car. They say, "Are you being attacked?" She says, "No, that's my boyfriend." It was a complete nightmare. [Laughs] Some stories are beautiful, but mine was not."

You famously shave your entire body every week. Has this given you a deeper understanding of what women go through?
"I've got a big body, so it's a lot of ground to cover. I go through about a can and a half of shaving cream. It takes about 35 minutes. Not only do I empathize with women, I know this is just a fraction of what they have to go through."

Your character, Maui, in Moana is arrogant. Was there a time when you were that way?
"There was a time in my twenties and thirties when I had an ego—a very healthy ego, as we all do—but I didn't do a very good job of managing it. It was very damaging to my marriage. I didn't even recognize the arrogance was there. I was extremely judgmental. Then all of a sudden, the divorce happens. We're very good friends today."

I'll say. She runs your company! That's a modern story.
"It's ultramodern. It's hard for people to understand. But when they see it, it's inspiring. The arrogance and the ego is one of the key success inhibitors. Once I recognized it—Oh, wow, you've been a real asshole all these years—then I was able to start from zero again and build back into the man I am today."

Gisele Bundchen Got Tom Brady to Go Vegan

Gisele Bundchen recently stopped by CBS This Morning to talk about Tom Brady's dietary habits. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by E! News:

"In my situation, we have a plant-based died and we've been having it for 10 years. Because we feel better, it is better for our health and everything we put into our body has an effect on us, has an effect on our energy and how we feel. [The decision to go plant-based] has come from me."

On Tom Brady giving up meat and going completely plant-based:
"The thing is, he said he's been feeling so much better. I have to say it's amazing, you know, the way he feels. He doesn't feel achy. He just feels so much more energy. He has to thank his commitment, his dedication to it, because he still has to want to do it, right? In the beginning, it was a little bit different for him, but now he loves it and he wouldn't have it any other way because he feels better."

Suzanne Somers Is Having More Sex Than You Are

People recently asked Suzanne Somers about the secret to her happy marriage to husband of 40 years Alan Hamel in light of her new book Two’s Company: A Fifty-Year Romance with Lessons Learned in Love, Life & Business. Here's what she had to say:

Is there advice in your book that you wish you knew early on in your marriage?
"I wish I could say there is a recipe. Marriages take time and work. We had the advantage of being incredibly drawn to one another sexually, and I was madly in love. We fought like dogs for 10 years during our dating and living together period (which was actually kind of sexy), but getting married calmed things down. Building our business and combining families added new complications, but finally our personal and business relationship became clearly defined and here we are 50 years later and very grateful."

Is it true that you’ve never spent a night away from each other in 37 years? Why did you decide to commit to that lifestyle and how have you made it work with your busy schedules?
"No agreement was ever made, just an insatiable desire to be together. I can’t imagine a night without him. It sounds corny, but we are one."

You’ve been open about how intimacy is an essential part of a couple’s (and a woman’s) life.  How often do you recommend couples have sex?
"We have sex every day, sometimes more. I love it. Every couple is different. This is just what works for us. Alan has the blood pressure of an athlete, and he claims that sex is his daily cardio workout and says that it’s a hell of a lot more fun than a treadmill."

How did your connection change from when you were newlyweds to a couple who’s been together for decades?
"I love the way Alan looks at me. I love looking at him. He turns me on, I turn him on. It was like this at the beginning and it remains to this day. I thank God everyday for this incredible love in my life."

How have you and Alan kept your married life — in and out of the bedroom — fresh for the last 40 years?
"We give each other a lot of attention. We date at least three times a week. We dance when we are alone. We are respectful of one another. We both value our good health. I never get tired of him. We laugh a lot. The moment I open my eyes in the morning, Alan says, “I’m sorry,” which always cracks me up. We are each other’s everything. I’ve never had a night out with the girls and Alan’s never had a night out with the boys. We are lovers, parents and business partners. We are best friends."

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your marriage?
"That it is a privilege to find your soulmate, true love. It’s better than anything. It’s not about money. It’s only about who you love and who loves you that makes life rich and full. We have it. We all have rough times but working it out seems to bring more clarity and brings us even closer."

Blind Gossip Exclusive Blind Item - The Not So Nice Singer Tape

This very popular young female singer tries to portray herself as a nice girl.

One of her friends did a not-so-nice thing to her, though. She secretly taped Singer making nasty comments about another celebrity!

Do you remember when Blind Gossip told you last year that there was some talk of setting up Singer with a certain young actor last year, but it never happened?

Well, after that fell through, Singer was hanging out with a few girlfriends. They were talking about boys. One of the boys they talked about was this famous young actor who is starring in a big popcorn movie this summer.

Yes, this is the very same Actor that Singer was angling to be set up with last year!

Anyway, Singer made a series of negative comments about Actor. While she was doing this, one of the girls was secretly taping her.

Uh oh!

If that tape leaks – and Singer can figure out which of the group is responsible – someone is going to find herself out of a posse!

Even worse, it could expose the fact that Singer and Actor had been discussing the possibility of “dating”!

Yikes!

"She decides everything. She tells him, “I am older and I have all this experience. You need to trust me and follow my lead. I am only doing what’s best for all of us.”"

Some of the little things she has decided for the both of them lately include: where they are going to live, what they are going to name their children, how his solo career is going to proceed, how much he is going to work, how they are going to handle their finances, and when they are going to get married.

Kardashian Korner

After Kourtney Kardashian told Scott Disick on a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that they are never ever getting back together, Disick has been spotted out with a bunch of different chicks. But shit just got real, because Entertainment Tonight reports that Scott Disick was spotted out on a date with...Bella Thorne?!

"Sources tells ET that the 33-year-old reality star and the 19-year-old Famous in Love actress had dinner together on Monday night at Catch LA in West Hollywood, California. Afterwards, the pair continued their outing at celeb hot spot The Nice Guy, where they were seated at a table together for an hour, and enjoyed more food.

And the night didn't end there. Sources tell ET that Disick and Thorne later went to listen to live music performances at The Peppermint Club nearby, and left at 1:30 a.m. in Disick's car."

Kim Cattrall Moves Behind the Camera

In a recent interview with the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire, Kim Cattrall, 60, opened up about becoming a producer. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by Page Six:

“I’m not ready to play someone who is grotesque. Either from being thought of as a very, very older woman, at 60-61 this year, which I’m not, and I don’t feel that way. That’s why I don’t depend on Hollywood for jobs anymore. That’s why I became an executive producer.”

On not feeling pressure to maintain a youthful appearance:
“If I want to look a certain way then that’s for my satisfaction. I don’t do it because of my work, I do it because that makes me feel good.”

On encountering ageism over the years:
“It starts in a little bit of a whisper. ’Can she come in and have a meeting? We just want to see what she looks like. We want to see her skin, where she’s at.’”

Chris Robinson Is Not Here for John Mayer Touring With the Grateful Dead

The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson recently appeared on the Howard Stern show, where he talked about John Mayer touring with The Grateful Dead. Here's what he had to say:

“Donald Trump is president, John Mayer’s in the Grateful Dead and my brother’s in a Black Crowes tribute band...The Grateful Dead has turned into this giant nipple that everyone sucks off to get money. I’m not a big John Mayer fan. Jerry Garcia is a hero of mine. Everything that Jerry ever talked about or stood for — John Mayer is the antithesis … He knows all the licks, there’s nothing unusual about his playing. Jerry was one of the most unique musicians in the world. Jerry never played anyone else’s licks and now here’s John Mayer playing everyone else’s licks.”

On whether or not he would attend the ceremony if The Black Crowes are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:
“I’m not going. Jerry Garcia didn’t go, I’m not going. Let’s get this straight: I don’t like my brother (Rich), I don’t get along with him, I don’t want to be in a room with him, I don’t want to play with those people in that band. I don’t hate anyone. The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame to me is like going to the mall.”

Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has listed his Lake Como, Italy condo for sale for just shy of $2 million. The 2,700 square foot condo features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1.25 acres of communal gardens which feature a chapel and a swimming pool. See pictures of the property at Variety.

Travis Barker Gets Sober

Travis Barker appeared on a recent episode of The Doctors, where he opened up about getting sober. Here's what he had to say, as reprinted by Page Six:

“I was doing a lot of drugs recreationally, and I was living a very wild rockstar lifestyle before. [I decided to quit my prescription drugs] when the doctors had said, ‘You’re probably going to be on most of these drugs for the rest of your life because you went through such a horrific experience, and you’re dealing with bipolar disorder. You’ll probably never play drums again, you’ll never run again.' Then the challenge was in my mind just to prove them wrong.

...I literally had a joint in my hand, and [my doctor] was like, ‘Travis, this is your warning shot! Stop smoking right now.' And I was like, ‘Like right now?’ ‘Yes, right now!’ And coffee was a big trigger for all the acid [in my esophagus]. I never even knew I had [Barrett’s esophagus (a condition in which tissue in the esophagus changes to tissue resembling that of the intestines. The condition can eventually lead to esophageal adenocarcinoma, a potentially fatal cancer)].”

Soundgarden's Chris Cornell Has Died

Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has passed away at the age of 52. He died Wednesday night in Detroit; his death is being called "sudden and unexpected," and Cornell's family will be "working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause." Quoting directing from the New York Times obituary:

"Dontae Freeman, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department, said in an interview that at about midnight officers responded at the MGM Grand casino to an apparent suicide of a white man, born July 20, 1964, who was pronounced dead on the scene. He would not confirm the victim’s name; Mr. Cornell’s date of birth is July 20, 1964. Mr. Freeman said that the victim’s wife called a family friend to check on the victim; the family friend forced his way into the room and found the individual unresponsive on the bathroom floor.

The victim was found with a band around his neck, Mr. Freeman said. He said that the police were not confirming that the victim died of a suicide, though the preliminary determination was an “apparent suicide.” He said that more details would be released in a statement later Thursday."

Cornell is survived by his wife, two daughters, and one son.

Rapper A$AP Rocky Was Robbed

E! News reports that rapper A$AP Rocky's home was robbed on Tuesday night, and the culprits made off with $1 million worth of jewelry and property: "At  11:30 pm last night officers responded to a home invasion robbery. A female was walking outside of the home when she was confronted by three suspects and one of them was armed with a handgun. They forced the victim back into the home. They attempted to take a safe and were unsuccessful, but they took property."

A$AP Rocky was not at home at the time of the robbery, and the woman is one of his relatives. Sources believe that this was not a random robbery, and that A$AP was specifically targeted. His rumoured girlfriend Kendall Jenner was robbed of $200,000 from her home in March.

Blind Gossip Exclusive Blind Item - Drama Drama Drama

You may have heard one small but shocking piece of the story about a handsome TV actor.

Blind Gossip has the EXCLUSIVE details on the rest of the story!

He was one of the stars of a successful TV drama in the 1990s.

He’s still having plenty of drama – but not as much success – in his personal life.

You may have heard that he is now being accused of being a drug addict. That’s only part of the story.

A few months ago, his wife kicked him out of their house and filed for divorce. It was ugly. They put the house up for sale, and she is staying there with their child/ren until the sale goes through.

Then, a few weeks ago, he found out that an ex-girlfriend from many years ago was caught doing crystal meth in her home. Several children were present at the time.

Why should our actor care about the ex? Because he and the ex had had a daughter together… and that child was in the home at the time!

Lots of drama ensued. The actor swooped in and took the girl before the Department of Children and Family Services could do so. Crystal Mom tried to fight with the actor to let the girl stay, but in the end, Actor took his child and walked out.

He didn’t have anywhere to take her. He couldn’t take her to the house where his wife and child/ren were living, as even he wasn’t welcome there. So, where did they go?

Well, our actor and his daughter went to stay at his mother’s house in a planned community in Southern California. The home is small, so the daughter is sleeping in the spare bedroom, and our actor is sleeping on the sofa.

So, our actor is currently dealing with the drama of: sleeping on the sofa at his mom’s house, trying to find a place to live, caring for his daughter, fighting to get primary custody of his daughter from her drug-addicted mother, selling the house he shared with his soon-to-be-ex-wife, getting a divorce from that wife, maintaining a relationship with the child/ren from that marriage, and starting a new job.

His exes are both really mad at him. They each want primary custody of their respective children. That’s why you are suddenly hearing accusations about his drug use.

Now you know the whole story.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Rejection At the Upfronts

The Upfronts bring together network executives, advertisers, and TV stars to introduce network lineups and to sell advertising for the upcoming television season.

This very famous dark-haired female star, who is the principal on a cable reality TV show, was there this year. Definitely not the first time for her. However, according to one ad rep, interest in her and her show was definitely different.

"It was different from previous years. She was dressed like a hooker (as usual) but she didn’t get the same amount of attention like I’ve seen in the past.

There used to be a line of people wanting to get their photos taken with her. This year, nobody really seemed to care. A publicist (I think) actually approached a bunch of us and was practically begging us to come over and get a picture taken with her. She was trying to make it sound all exciting and special. “I know you gentleman would just LOVE to have your photo taken with [TV Star]!”All of us kind of shrugged and said “No thanks.” The publicist looked a little stressed out about all the rejection."

Zoe Kravitz Talks Role Models

Zoe Kravitz is on the cover of Allure Magazine. Here are some highlights from her accompanying interview:

On her character in Big Little Lies:
“I think people always assume for whatever reason that I’m much more hippie-dippy than I am. I’m certainly not as patient as Bonnie is, the way she takes the high road with Madeline [her husband’s ex, played powerfully by Reese Witherspoon]. I can be quite confrontational at times. Bonnie has an amazing level of compassion; she’s very aware of others’ struggles.”

On her role models:
“I’d start with my family. Both my grandmothers and my mother. They planted the seeds for me of what it meant to be female. I grew up in California with my mom in Topanga Canyon. My mother had really great girlfriends. Marisa Tomei is my godmother. I’ve always been around strong women, funny women. And my mom’s really funny. Humor is a big thing in my family. We like to laugh.”

On Lisa Bonet's reaction to the Bill Cosby sex-abuse scandal:
“I think she didn’t like hearing that. It bummed her out. Though she didn’t seem incredibly surprised about it. I don’t think she wants to hear about anyone being abused, especially by someone she spent so much time with. It feels shitty. You want to shower."

On New York City:
“I feel most at home in New York. I’ve been here since I was 15. I think part of [my fondness for the city] is the spontaneity that’s possible here. You can go get a coffee and run into someone you know. There’s life and diversity and art everywhere. In a lot of cities, that’s not possible to experience. It’s kind of European. I like walking; I like the subway. Every time I have to go to 30 Rock [NBC’s New York address] to do a talk show, I tell them I’ll take the subway. It’s so much faster. It makes me happy. But like most New Yorkers, I like the city 50 percent more when it’s warm outside.”

On her style:
“I’ve always liked contrasts, contradiction. I think too much of anything doesn’t work — like if everything you wear is expensive-looking, you look stale. And if everything you wear is ripped and falling apart, you look crazy. I like when you can find a balance. I live in New York City. I walk around. I have to be comfortable. You don’t look cool or sexy if you’re uncomfortable; it’s not attractive.”

Leah Remini Reminisces About her Pitch for A&E Scientology Show

Leah Remini recently sat down for an interview at a TV Academy Q&A, where she talked about her show Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by The Hollywood Reporter:

On pitching the show to producers Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman:
"Do you want to know what I really said? I said, 'Don't be pussies. If you're going to be pussies, you're not the right producers for this.'"

On the levels of pain that the subjects of the series are still experiencing:
"This is not something you just get over. My own pain continues as well. Sometimes I wish a sitcom could take me away from all of this."

On how long the show will continue:
"I'll keep doing this until something changes."

Kirsten Dunst and Sofia Coppola Talk Working Together

Kirsten Dunst, 35, and Sofia Coppola, 46, recently sat down for a joint interview with Variety. Here are some highlights:

Dunst, on working with Coppola on the Virgin Suicides, and getting confidence from her:
“I was a little nervous. It was my first adult role!...She was always a good influence on me as a young woman. She said to me, ‘I love your teeth; don’t ever fix your teeth.’ I remember doing a ‘Spider-Man’ movie later, and one of the producers was like, ‘I need to take you to the dentist!’ They even fixed my teeth on the poster. But I just knew I was never doing that. Sofia is the chicest, coolest girl, and she thinks my teeth are great. She gave me confidence in little things that I wouldn’t necessarily have had.”

Coppola, on her relationship to Dunst, and working with her in Beguiled:
“I feel big-sisterly to her...I like casting her in this because it’s so opposite her personality. This character is so oppressed and she’s not at all.”

Dunst, on refusing to lose weight for the role in Beguiled:
“It’s so much harder when you’re 35 and hate working out. I’m eating fried chicken and McDonald’s before work [in rural Louisiana]. So I’m like, ‘We have no options! I’m sorry I can’t lose weight for this role.’”

Coppola, on why she wanted to make Beguiled:
“The idea of remaking doesn’t make sense to me. This [story] stayed in my mind. And then I thought it would be interesting to tell the same premise from the point of view of the women characters.”

Dunst, on working to get her directorial debut The Bell Jar off the ground:
“We need our financing. I’m telling you, I have so many great actresses attached. People are afraid of the name Sylvia and that this is a depressing movie, which it’s not at all...It’s always harder for women. Everyone has to work 10 times harder.”

Dunst, on all of the Spiderman reboots:
“I don’t care. Everyone likes our ‘Spider-Man.’ C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”
