  1. Well that seems hotter than the actual movie, when is this tape coming out online

  2. Yay! Sunday is my stories day! I started the party early by eating Ben & Jerry's Salted Caramel Core for breakfast in bed.

***GIRLS SPOILERS: I went back and rewatched the last couple episodes and I caught something I missed- Eli snarked that Marnie wrote most of Hannah's papers in college. I'm thinking Hannah can't write worth a shit; first got to blame her cohort for her procrastination, and now she gets to blame Adam for giving up her dreams in Iowa for nothing. She is literally the PERFECT victim right now. Gag me. I hope she uses this as a chance to go finish up her MA but I doubt that's where the show is going. We will see.

***BCS/BrBa SPOILERS: Remember how I was saying last week that Better Call Saul would have to tap into the backstory of the S2 BrBa episode of the same name, where Saul gets taken to the desert? Saul was screaming to Jesse and Walt "did Don Eladio send you? It was not me, it was Ignacio!!!"

Well folks, IGNACIO=NACHO!!!! At some point we will see how Saul and Ignacio formally teamed up with the boys from Juarez, and eventually pissed off Don Eladio...Cannot wait!

    1. lady i picked up on the slip by eli that marnie wrote all of hannah's papers and i've always thought hannah was fos and up her own ass and secretly jealous of marnie and wanting to be her..playing the victim is right.. along with a lifetime of emotional blackmail

  4. Anyone watching the SNL special tonight?

Since I've started reading CDAN I've learned that Tina and Amy can't stand Sandler. That Katan and Cheri Oteri were mean girls (I forget who they tortured, was it Dratch?). And of course Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell are secretly horrible people.

There is even a red carpet for this.

    I can't wait

    1. Me too. I LOVE Dratch... what a great rubber faced comedian!

Lady, I've got Saul set for recording.

    2. I find the red carpet bit a little weird, but I'm down, not like I have much else going on on a Sunday at 7 pm lol

    3. I have never found Drach entertaining myself. She could never keep a straight face like Fallon but at least he had some musical talent. Had no idea Oteri and Katan were mean girls. Shame on them.

    4. She was no Gilda Radner that is for sure. SNL was so much better with a small talented bunch of people. Everytime I bother to watch the show the opening credits get so much longer full of nobodies. You have all those people and are less funnier than ever.

First season - Belushi, Chase, Akroyd, Curtin, Newman, Radner, Morris. - Apparently Murray came later.

    5. All those people could sing and do impersonations and deliver lines with ease.

    6. Are you kidding me? The original cast were not all that, it's just that the show was unlike anything else before it. I think each season has had some talented casting and some not so talented. In the original cast I think Gilda, Ackroyd, Belushi and Curtin were the best. In his defense they practically never used Garrett Morris just like they ignored Chris Rock when he was in the cast.

  5. Anyone watching this SNL red carpet? It's a bit weird. What's up with Chevy Chase? He looks like he's about to have a heart attack!

  6. I saw that, Jessi. He kept pausing like he had to remember what he was talking about.

MadTV will always be the better sketch comedy show imo.

  7. I thought they should have had Jimmy and Seth host the Red Carpet but I'm sure the network wanted the Today Show there. Roker was awful. I think Chevy is having some issues.

  8. I watched the first SNL last night and it had some good parts but they definitely grew into some good stuff.

Apparently BCS a doesn't come on tonight where I live, it's tomorrow might. No conflict with the Abbey at least. Trivia night is back on and last night to take the trophy. Not saying I'm the hammer (or ringer) but my team sunk in the ratings whilst I was away. Hopefully we can pull up to at least the top two places.

  9. He was just on. He gained some weight, which isn't a big deal. His voice is incredibly different than it used to be. I wonder what's up with him.

I didn't see Roker dong the interviews. I usually enjoy him. Watching Samantha Guthrie was painful. The woman is so dull.

  10. Here's who I noticed is missing: Dana Carvey, Victoria Jackson (assume she wasn't invited as she's certifiably insane), Dennis Miller, Adam Sandler, Tracy Morgan (understandably), Al Franken.

  11. Spoke to soon. There's Carvey.

Seinfeld is in the audience and Jessica and her horrible hair are wearing some heinous fur thing.

    And there's Sandler.

  14. I feel like Kanye is The Emperor's New Clothes and I can see him fully naked.

  15. That SNL anniversary special could have been so good but, instead, it was sooooo bad! I was pretty sure it would suck but then I had a little glimmer of hope that, somehow, the available talent pool would overcome the obvious pitfalls. Nope.

  16. Is it just me or do others find the whole Today show team awkward as hell doing interviews. They should be a little more polished at their jobs at this point in the game. They could have done without Trump and Palin, and some of the skits really fell flat. Chevy Chase may very well be suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia, cause he seemed really out of it, and Eddie Murphy seems to have lost his funny.

  17. I liked the SNL special, loved seeing Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy and Wayne's World. Poor Chevy didn't look so great which makes me sad. They could have done better with the musical guests-Kanye and Miley, really?

  19. Lorne's format doesn't work anymore because of the writing for one and I guess there just aren't comedians of the level of the original cast. They got the odd gems over time, like Phil Hartman. Then they had Chris Rock and never used him to his full potential.

But they had this thing where everyone had to compete to get on the show and the more cast members the worse it got so then the women who used to be the heart and soul of the show back in the good old days got shut out for a while. Keep it a small group of multi-talented people who all can work together in the writing room if you ask me. I guess since SNL has no more competition on Saturday night they don't care. I remember switching over to Mad TV for several years on Saturday night.Did In Living Color try to compete with SNL I can't recall. Loved that show too and Kids in the Hall.

  20. Had to turn the SNL special off, I had seen enough. That was WAAAY too much mediocre dragged out show for me. There's just no way you can fit 40 years of memories into that amount of time.

  21. P.S. Jessica Simpson - Get over yourself!
