Nick Cannon's Valentine's Date Night

Page Six reports that Nick Cannon spent his Valentine's Day with Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole Murphy. The two shared a late night dinner at Tavern on the Green, arriving at 11pm. The dinner lasted about an hour. Nick Cannon filed for divorce from Mariah Carey in December.

  1. I ate at Tavern on the Green once. This was in the mid-80s, but I remember it being really lovely and expensive. You paid like $8 million for a hunk of prime rib and then everything else was a la carte. The upside was a baked potato cost you $750,000, but at least you didn't get the $350,000 green bean almondine on your plate.

    2. KarenW my friend was a chef there around 89/90 time frame. It was old school and someone came in and revamped it. It's still expensive but not as stodgy. I'm always amazed at those restaurants where the entre is so bloody expensive and they can't even include a vegetable.

Did you ever eat at The Palm? Lobsters fished off nuclear waters they were so huge. My menu didn't have a price but I'm sure that crustacean was a good $75.

    3. I went in the 90's and while the food wasn't great, I think I had a salad, I really don't remember, I was there mostly for the history.

    4. Tavern reopened last year under new management and after a lot of interior renovation. The place doesn't look as cheesy and dated as before, although still classy-looking, and the menu's price point is also lower. Instead of costing an arm and leg, you could probably get away with just a hand and maybe a few toes. ;)

  3. He's looking for his next paycheck bc he's a gold digger. Is there a male equivalent, or is gold digger gender neutral?

  7. He looks like a kid to me, so when I see him with a grown woman it just looks off. Since dinner lasted only an hour, my guess is they are friends, neither had valentines plans, so they decided to have dinner together.

I'm not sure why, but I like Nick. I think he earned every penny he gets from Mariah for the time he spent with her. She can't be easy.

    1. AGREED. I like him too, seems like a fun and generally good-hearted guy. He had a crush on Mariah forever and she turned into a washed up pickled fruitcake while they were together. Couldn't have been easy.
