Lionel Richie is a Huge Fan of Dave Grohl
Dave Grohl recently sat down for an interview with The Guardian, where he revealed that he received a large gift from Lionel Richie back in 2015 after Grohl broke his leg prior to the Glastonbury music festival, where both the Foo Fighters and Lionel Richie were set to perform. Here's what he had to say:
"Well, just after my leg surgery. I was staying at the Grosvenor hotel in London and one afternoon my wife comes in and says: “You got the biggest muffin basket I’ve seen in my entire life!” And there’s this assortment of muffins two metres high. There must have been 6,000 fucking muffins. The card said: “Sorry to hear about the leg, missing you at Glastonbury, get well soon, PTO.” I thought: “Who the fuck is PTO? Is that a booking agent?” I got a text an hour later saying: “Lionel Richie wants to know if you got the muffin basket.” He was playing in the legends slot that year. I love Lionel Richie!"

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Erratic Behavior
This young actress received a lot of publicity during her first season on a TV show.
So, are things looking good for renewal?
"No. She is very popular on social media and she the perfect demographic, but that may not save her. Ratings were below expectations. Another big factor they are talking about is how to rework her contract. Not just for dollars, but for “wellness” issues. She says it’s all an act and she’s just having fun, but she’s got them worried. I’d say chances for pick up are less than 25% at this point."
The “wellness” issues likely centers around her erratic behavior off the set.
What about the possibility of replacing her as the lead?
"Everybody is replaceable, but when they replaced Charlie Sheen (on Two and a Half Men), the ratings for the show were so so good it made sense to replace him rather than cancel. That’s not the case here."

Ashton Kutcher Talks Evolution of Relationship with Mila Kunis
Ashton Kutcher recently appeared on The Howard Stern Show. Here are some highlights from his interview:
On Mila telling Howard in July 2016 that she never found Ashton attractive when they were filming That 70s Show:
"She's lying. [She kept a diary back then.] She thought I was cute. At first I think she thought I was good-looking … shortly thereafter, I was just annoying to her because I was like, big brother."
On Ashton, then 19, kissing Mila, then 14, on the first season of That 70s Show:
"It was really weird. I was like, 'Isn't this illegal?' She was like my little sister."
On how Mila and Ashton got together after his split from Demi Moore and hers from Macaulay Culkin:
"I was convinced I was gonna be the single guy. I was all about being the single guy. (Ashton decided to try and set Mila up with one of his friends and planned on introducing them at a party he was throwing at his house. Mila showed up but the friend didn't. And as the evening went on, it became clear that there was an attraction between Ashton and Mila.) I was smoking cigarettes at the time, and I was still a smoker, and she had quit smoking. She wanted me to, like, shotgun cigarette smoke into her mouth so she could breathe it in. Gradually through the night, it got closer and closer and closer. (She ended up spending the night and the two have been together ever since.)"
On Two and a Half Men:
"Here's the thing, I was shocked I took the role in 'Two and a Half Men.' I turn to my agent and sort of flippantly said, 'If they offered me that job for that kind of money I'd take it.'...It was a very, very, very nice payday."

Mariah Carey Is a Diva
Page Six reports that Mariah Carey was supposed to have a cameo in the new Will Ferrell film The House, but it has since been cut from the film. The House actor Cedric Yarbrough took to his Facebook in a since-removed post to say this about Mariah Carey's diva antics:
“Okay since Will Ferrell is talking, I’ma talk-ing. Yeah, a real funny cameo was SUPPOSED to happen in the new film #TheHouse with the superstar Mariah Carey. But it was ruined by superstar Mariah Carey. The film takes place in a suburban home but is made into a ‘Casino’. Why not have Mariah be an act in the casino? Funny idea. It’s rumored that she eventually showed up to set. This is true. But after waiting for her for 3-4 hours!
While we waited the director & team had the idea of doing a stunt that Mariah’s body double would do now & bring in Mariah to match it. They do the stunt. All goes well. When Mariah finally showed up she refused to match the stunt. ‘Darling, I would never do it that way…’. I heard her say those exact words. She then requested a large fan for her hair to be blown around and a camera that would be above her, basically a crane shot.
This lady was unprofessional & borderline abusive to our director, who tried his best to appease her every wish. the acting community, it’s not very good form to ‘tell’ on your fellow actors. They could be having a bad day, going through some personal things, & maybe Mariah was, I don’t know. But I do know that our crew didn’t deserve that, our director didn’t...This kind of behavior just isn’t cool.
For you young actors, be on time, know your homework, but be courteous and respectful. For us old heads, the same. This kind of behavior should be called out for what it is. I miss ‘I had a vision of love’ Mariah. Be a damn professional.”

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Disappointment and Retaliation
This actress thought that this summer film was going to be THE movie that launched her into stardom.
Instead, she experienced disappointment and retaliation.
"She said it was a disappointing experience because [the lead actor] was so controlling and didn’t want to listen to her about the development of her character. She said that “compromised” her as an actor. She wonders if some of his behavior may have been in retaliation for her turning him down for a personal relationship contract. She doesn’t want to work with him again."

Courteney Cox Talks Beauty
Courteney Cox recently sat down for an interview with New Beauty. Here's what she had to say:
NewBeauty: Tell us about your morning beauty routine.
Courteney Cox: I start with the Clarisonic to wash my face and then I apply a hot towel. I don’t know if that’s good for my skin, but it’s what the professionals do. I see Mila Moursi once a week for a facial and I’ve been using her products for years. I love the way they smell. They’re rich and rejuvenating—they blend natural extracts, oils and peptides with the best scientific ingredients. I want natural, but not too natural. I want it to work. I don’t want to just use plants and water. I always put on a peptide of some sort—Mila’s Rejuvenating Serum or a lifting serum. Sometimes a vitamin C product. I also use her Firming Cream, Oxy Cellular and AntiWrinkle Cream. I alternate those, or sometimes use all of them, depending on how dry I am.
NB: That's quite a process—how long does it take?
CC: Not nearly as long as it sounds! It’s all really easy and only takes about three minutes.
NB: How do you take care of your body?
CC: I just realized that I should have started on my body earlier than I did. I thought, “Oh, my body’s fine.” Well, it’s not. It does catch up. I recently started dry brushing, and I’ve got a body roller for my problem areas. But it’s good to start on your body when you’re 25 or 30, not 53. That’s the moral of the story.
NB: How did trying to "keep up" with your appearance get you in trouble?
CC: Well, what would end up happening is that you go to a doctor who would say, “You look great, but what would help is a little injection here or filler there.” So you walk out and you don’t look so bad and you think, no one noticed—it’s good. Then somebody tells you about another doctor: “This person’s amazing. They do this person who looks so natural.” You meet them and they say, “You should just do this.” The next thing you know, you’re layered and layered and layered. You have no idea because it’s gradual until you go, “Oh sh*t, this doesn’t look right.” And it’s worse in pictures than in real life. I have one friend who was like, “Whoa, no more!” I thought, I haven’t done anything in six months. I didn’t realize.
NB: So your friend told you she thought you were doing too much?
CC: Yeah. But I’d see pictures and think, “Oh, is that what I look like?” And I’d ask a friend and they’d say, “Oh God, no.” And I never thought of myself as being delusional. I think photographs do show up worse, so when people in the world see you and write comments that are usually mean, I think, “It can be worse than what it really is.”
NB: Well, you look amazing. What are you doing now?
CC: I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I’m as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do. Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake. You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles—they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend.
NB: What about diet—do you have to watch what you eat?
CC: I’m a really good eater. About four years ago I found out I have something called a MTHFR gene mutation, which dictates how my body methylates. I suffered miscarriages, my dad died of a really rare cancer, and depression runs in my family, which made my doctor think I should get this gene checked out. I discovered that I have the worst version of this mutation and my body doesn’t methylate the way it’s supposed to. Once I found out how I could absorb nutrients and protect myself from toxins, my whole life shifted.
NB: What kind of changes?
CC: I felt so much better and had more energy. I used to get so tired and would literally crumble after I ate something. Now I give myself a shot of methylated B-12 daily. When I was pregnant, I took folic acid like you’re supposed to, but I learned later that it wasn’t good for me. I have to take a methylfolate and methylated B, and then I can absorb it. I would love to have a baby now. I mean, I could carry someone else’s egg. I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is.
NB: Would you consider having a baby now?
CC: I would. I know it’s crazy, but I would.

It will take a while for Tess to build back his trust but they have been getting on as normal. She was in London this week and met her ex straight away — they’ve been inseparable since.”

Helen Mirren Talks Confidence
Helen Mirren recently spoke at Cannel Lion about being asked to become a brand ambassador for L'Oreal in 2014, when she was 69. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by Page Six:
“It was about bloody time! I thought, at last, there has been a shift [in the fashion and beauty industry] — I’m talking about age and beauty, but also diversity. [I lived with acclaimed fashion photographer James Wedge in the 1970s when] he could not get a black girl on the front of a magazine. Now, finally, the breakthrough has happened … And now it’s great to see older women, different genders, different religions — the whole diversity of the world we are living in.”
On confidence:
“A lack of self-confidence is always with me. The minute I’m not working I start to think, I start asking who am I, what am I? … It’s a worm in the brain. I don’t think any of us are ever absolutely free of it. But it is particularly debilitating and useless in the young.”
On how she hides her own insecurities:
“Well, I’m a good actress, you know. That is what it is all about, you just act your way through it. You are not the only one who is going to suffer great self-doubt and insecurity.”

Jesse Williams In Custody Battle
E! News reports that Jesse Williams, who filed for divorce from wife Aryn Drake-Lee in April after five years of marriage, is now facing a custody battle in their split. Here's what he had to say in a recent court filing:
"Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them. She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence. On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two and half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children. I am therefore requesting a court order for a joint physical custody parenting plan…"
Aryn's lawyer responded as follows:
"Protecting the privacy and well-being of their children is of paramount importance to Aryn Drake-Lee Williams. It is unfortunate that Mr. Williams has chosen to draw public attention to this difficult time and transition for their family. Aryn is solely interested in the best interests of their children, supporting a healthy relationship with both parents, and protecting the children's privacy. Therefore, she will not comment any further on Mr. Williams' unilateral and unfortunate public allegations."

George Clooney Makes Billion Dollar Deal
George Clooney, along with co-owners Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman, have sold their Casamigos tequila company to British alcoholic beverage company Diageo for $1 billion. Clooney had this to say to CNBC:
"If you asked us four years ago if we had a billion dollar company, I don't think we would have said yes. This reflects Diageo's belief in our company and our belief in Diageo. But we're not going anywhere. We'll still be very much a part of Casamigos. Starting with a shot tonight. Maybe two."
Clooney, Gerber, and Meldman are all expected to stay on with Casamigos after the buyout.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Terribly Unattractive Prospect
This beautiful film actress was recently rumored to be dating a handsome actor who is best known for a retro role on a former television series.
Is she looking for a replacement for the man who cheated on her?
"No. She knows that [Actor] cheated on his girlfriend for years. She didn’t rid herself of one handsome cheater to take up with another handsome cheater! That, coupled with a drinking problem, makes him a terribly unattractive prospect for a relationship. They are just friends. However, he is good for a giggle and a photo op. She’s not fool enough to pass that up!"

The Gossip Life Blind Item - AA Meetings
This B list actor hasn't hidden his problem with alcohol or the fact that he regularly attends AA meetings, but several different sources in LA can recall encountering the actor at meetings and him regularly breaking down about his want for alcohol, as well as the pressure of fame.
'I don't think it's something he'll ever get over,' says one witness who heard him loud and clear. 'At least from the way he talks.'
'It's weird. It's fucking weird,' another sums up.
So, tell me, Gossipers;

Johnny Depp's Emails Released in Lawsuit
In the ongoing legal battle between Johnny Depp and his former business managers, the business managers have made public emails that they claim support their side of the case. Some of the highlights of the exchanges are below, as published in The Hollywood Reporter.
Attorney Susan MacIsaac wrote in the Monday court filing,
"[E]ach member of the [management] team had numerous individual communications with Depp and each other, which, taken together, will overwhelmingly establish that Depp was always fully informed regarding his financial problems, and of course, always knew that he was borrowing money to afford his extravagant lifestyle. In an attached email, [Depp's sister Christi] Dembrowski even describes herself as Depp's 'one stop informational center,' while instructing a TMG employee that all documents sent to Depp for signature must go through her."
From The Hollywood Reporter:
"Only one email exchange directly between Depp and Mandel is included. It addresses the actor's need to "take it easy" on spending as well as his $75 million combined pay from The Tourist, the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film and Dark Shadows. (The full exchange is posted below.)
Depp asks "what else can I do???" and offers to sell his possessions. "i got bikes, cars, property, books, paintings and some semblance of a soul left. where would you like me to start???"
In a Jan. 25, 2010, email to Dembrowski, Mandel writes, "We are almost $4,000,000 overdrawn" and asks Depp's sister to get him to sign loan documents for a $6 million loan. She responds, "was gonna get them to you this afternoon...no worries!"
A 2014 exchange between Dembrowski and Mandel addresses the loan secured by profit participation from five of Depp's films, which the actor says was done without his knowledge.
"I need your help this week to coordinate having J sign that Letter of Intent regarding this new loan," writes Mandel in the email. "More than that, it is critical to us that J understand what he is signing and, either now or very soon, how this loan will impact him moving forward."
Dembrowski writes back, "I don't understand impact moving forward."
Mandel says he would be happy to give a longer explanation but, in short: "[A]s you know we are pledging our primary Disney profit participations. These monies will be required to pay back the loan and will be unavailable to us for a number of years (likely next 4-5 years). These monies have been a significant source of our income, and have sustained us during the periods between new work. Without access to these monies, even greater reductions in spending will be necessary.""

On being involved in her brand:
“I hate name slapping, I won’t do it. I was apprehensive to put my name on it. I think if you can talk about the journey and you are educated, invested and involved, you can gauge who really is there.”
