Johnny Depp Looking For New Representation

After a string of box office flops, Page Six reports that Johny Depp is looking for a new agent to resurrect his career. Depp has been with agent Tracey Jacobs of United Talent Agency since he was working on 21 Jump Street in 1988. Depending on who you ask, Depp may or may not have recently met with Rick Yorn, who manages Scarlett Johansson and Leonardo DiCaprio.

  1. Isn't it his final decision as to what he wants to work on though? Not that I think this is a bad move because, damn, I want the Johnny of the 90's to come back. I am just curious as to how changing representation is going to change his career? He's the one that is sucking at his job!!!

  2. Johnny's going to need a good de-lousing and about 48 hours soaking in a Calgon swimming pool before his career can be revived. Holy crap. When the hygiene goes to hell, that's when I quit a bitch!

  3. @Lotta, I agree! Maybe he and Tom Cruise can share an agent: both persist in making films that might have been interesting in 1997, if at all. Who is Matthew McConnaughey's agent? He/she seems to specialize in bringing careers back from the dead.

  4. Mortdecai looks like the actual worst movie made in the past 20 years.

  5. Johnny needs a new agent, new look and most importantly to pull his head out of his own ass. Judging by his "chupacabra ate my homework" excuse for missing the press conference his head is still firmly planted there.

    1. @Katydid, agree about the new look. Male or female, there's no less attractive look than 'Me attempting to look like me 25 years ago.' Not particularly a George Clooney fan, but he's been very good at moving with the times and accepting himself as he is now. Brad and Angie are also pretty good at at it.

    2. If you ask me Clooney has made a shitload of self indulgent boring ass movies too. He might have better hygiene than Depp, but isn't much better at picking movies.

  6. Maybe a trip to Betty Ford before doing anything might help?

It's really sad how far he's fallen and now being just a joke of his former self.

  7. I have had several friends that went and seen Mortdecai and they said they laughed so very much. All of them said it was a wonderful movie, much along the lines of the old Peter Sellers Pink Panther movies. I am going to try and go this weekend if I am feeling well enough to as I do love Johnny Depp.

  8. I'm not a Depp fan but did see Mortdicai and laughed my ass off. A lot of pretty clever funny lines by Depp. Stupid story but it was actually entertaining. This is just the herd mentality slamming it because the critics didn't like it and everyone wants to cheer on the trainwreck that Depp has become. Other times people ignore the critics with these types of comedies if it is funny.

  9. Take a shower, cut you hair, stop being all pretentious and stop taking roles like Tonto with a bird on your head and remember why u got into acting. Remember Whats Eating Gilbert Grape? Yeah, indies like that.

  10. Johnny Depp doesn't need a new agent. He just needs to get his head out of his ass, straighten himself out, clean himself up, and make a couple of good movies. If he can do that BINGO! career right back where it was.

  11. Personally I liked Depp in The Lone Ranger. I thought he was great as Tonto and I thought all the hoopla was ridiculous.
