Christian Blogger Too Sexy For Her Yoga Pants

Christian Blogger Veronica Partridge has made the news lately for a blog post about yoga pants. In her post, she details the reasons that she has decided to stop wearing yoga pants or leggings. Namely, because "it creates a stronger attraction for a man to look at a woman’s body and may cause them to think lustful thoughts." God agrees with her, of course. Read her full blog post here. What do you think about her position on yoga pants?

  3. If you got it, flaunt it!

Whatever. Wear yoga pants or don't wear them, just please don't tell others what to wear. There are only one type of jeans I'm willing to wear after I got hooked on Lululemon cuz they are so fucking comfy. The only things that worry me are:
    1) Am I slowly morphing into my mom?
    2) Buzzfeed recently warned me that I need to be wary of a new fashion fail: looking like a "Health Goth."

    2. Lady what are those jeans out of curiosity and can you link to the buzz feed article
and my mom has been out dressing me for years because when I wasn't working I dressed for comfort only sandals. . I have an Extensive t shirt collection and tons of extra comfy track pants that I have never worked out in..

    3. Lady H, can you please describe a "Health Goth" for me? What I am imagining is making me LOL.

    4. LOL @auntliddy (as usual) ;)

@sugartits- I only wear the Avedon Skinny Slick jeans by Citizens of Humanity!
They are on the pricey side but totally worth it. They are long, super stretchy, last forever and feel like cotton comfy amazingness...all while still looking like fresh skinny jeans! Since I know what size fit me, I usually buy them cheaper on eBay etc. Now you can totally get in my pants!!!

@Brenda L: t is essentially goth/punk meets gym rat attire.
Think about things you see lately on guys like Travis Barker or Avenged Sevenfold types. Think black gym pants, Converse and a Pantera shirt.

    5. yeah lady can't wait to get in your pants,, whats the quality of clothes on ebay?
are you buying them used or new but closeout

    6. I usually buy them new, and even then it cuts the price at least to half of retail. You wanna break these bad boys into your shape. The most important thing for me on eBay is to see the seller's ratings and return policy. There's no risk of you can just send it back for a full refund, no questions asked, but you have to make sure that's part of the agreement with the seller.

  4. She can wear whatever she likes. No one should care, as this whole thing reeks of publicity stunt.

I wonder, though, if she plans to remove her lustful nose ring, or if her husband requires it.

    2. I went to her site and for the life of me couldn't tell that she was wearing a nose ring in any of the pictures I saw. I did notice that she has horrendous grammar.

She said "it has always been a dream of Dale and I's to move out of state...etc. Dale and I's??? There is no such word or contraction. A dream of Dale and MINE!!! I'm rarely a grammar nazi but this was too much!

Honey In case you didn't realize it, nobody should be wearing leggings without a shirt covering your ass and vijay jay. Leggings are only glorified tights when it comes down to it. BUT! Aint nothing wrong with yoga pants bitch!

    3. Thank you! I hate that grammar error!

  5. No camel toe is why the men are staring or how tight leggings accentuate that cellulite.

  6. That kind of logic is why women in parts of the world are shrouded in burkas

  7. She states its her opinion. I dont agree with it, it isnt our job to make sure men dont run amuck like wild beasts, which apparently is what happens when men look at women. Its actually insulting to men, the inference they cant control themselves. Anyway a very important facet of this story was overlooked: fadhion!!!!!!! Leggings are not pants!!!! And the number of women who actually look goid in these things is very low. To me, its like wearing pantyhose out in public. And you def shld hv the bum covered. For you, as a woman, so u feel good. So, to sum up: men control your shit, and women, leggings as pants no bueno.

  8. She should try a full body burka! Those keep my wee man wee sized!

  9. This woman has made a decision for herself as a woman, wife and mother. She has her reasons based on her personal values, her faith and her sense of propriety.

Frankly, I understand her reasoning. Most women have had the uncomfortable experience of feeling like ogled. Regardless of your sense of self-esteem, it can be degrading. Whether or not what you're wearing causes it, encourages it, intensifies it is subject for debate.

I wear leggings a lot and have for over 20 years. I never wear leggings without a tunic length top -- even when I was thin enough that I could. That's just accommodating my comfort level.

I do think it's amazing that women wear next to nothing or something so skin tight it leaves nothing to the imagination or have their bits hanging out and then complain about getting treated like a piece of meat.

Truth: Most women need a bra. Most women don't have flat stomachs or thin thighs. Most women don't have nice enough legs to not wear stockings. Most women do not look like the size 00 models - 6'5" and 92 pounds.

As far as mother morphing goes, I agree with Dolly Parton and Olympia Snow in Steel Magnolias:

Truvee: "l haven't left the house without Lycra on these thighs since l was 14."
Clairee: "You were brought up right."

  10. Last weekend in Wal Mart I saw a lady wearing some wild print leggings that were stretched so tight across her ass that you could see her skin. It was not good.

I wear only black leggings with black control top pantyhose underneath and always with an oversized sweater. ITA AuntLiddy, leggings are not pants, I don't care how young, old, skinny, or chubby a person may be. Don't do it.

Yoga pants are a whole other thing, my yoga pants have a wide leg so I have plenty of room to be flexible. There not sexy at all.

Reminds me, I need to workout...

  11. Aunt Liddy, Karen and Califblondy are right: leggings are NOT pants. They are not meant to be worn with anything shorter than something that covers your butt. I live in leggings, with long sweaters, tops, blouses, whatever, but they all cover my behind. So does my 17 year old daughter. It's like wearing tights without something covering your butt otherwise. Now yoga pants? That's different. They're called pants for starters. And the blogger, she's entitled to her opinion, but even she says she will not longer wear them with anything that doesn't cover her butt, so she's still going to wear them.

  12. "no" longer.... God I wish I could edit these posts. I sound as stupid as she does.

  13. How's about people wear whatever the fuck they want to wear? LOL

  14. Why broads think it is appropriate to wear yoga pants in public is one of the many things I don't understand about women, but one of the few I am happy to accept.

  15. There is one exception to the oversize shirt rule, leather leggings you can wear with anything

  16. What the heck?? I don't like liver and onions. Should I write an article about that and get everyone talking about me??

  17. I dunno. Being a christian (sorry. Not sorry) she really should be an advocate for the camel toe. It reminds men of the va-jay-jay, and help them pray the gay away. *being facetious*
