Celebrity Real Estate - Dr Dre Moving Up Edition
After buying Tom Brady and Gisele's former mansion last year, Dr. Dre has finally unloaded his house in the Bird Streets for a cool $32.5 million. Dre bought the home for $15.4 million three years ago. The home has 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and has jetliner views of Los Angeles. See pictures of the property at Curbed.
The perk is having Leo as a neighbor..probably find a dozen models on your lawn every morning
ReplyDeleteI understand staging a property for showing a home. It needs to be neat & tidy, elegant, etc., but does it ever seem as if anyone lives in these Hollywood homes? Do the kitchens ever look like anyone cooks in them? Do the family rooms or dens look like anybody actually sits in there?
ReplyDeleteKaren- exactly my problem with these crleb houses. Cold as ice, make u run away shuddering!
DeleteWow, that's a tidy profit. I wonder if he put any money in the house to update or remodel. Haven't looked at the pics yet but that was a very smart move financially.
ReplyDeleteI feel like they are all just flipping these houses & using their names as the "wow" factor. Charge 10 mil more b/c you put in new fixtures & OMG "big name celeb" lived here! But they didn't, b/c they have 6 other houses and are usually on vacation or location with some media conglomerate paying their living expenses.
ReplyDeleteKaren I think they decorate them "stage" them with a very basic / beige sort of interior so people aren't turned off by loud colors and aren't seeing too much clutter. Too much clutter makes a house look smaller and people just want a basic understanding of the design potential when they buy it because when a celebrity puts a house on the market they have already moved out and put their things in storage or already moved into their new property. . Very rarely does a celebrity actually still live in the house while it's still for sale. . Only the people who can't afford to move somewhere else like the demi lovatos.
ReplyDeleteDr. Dre is rich now that 32 million is mere chump change. Every time his feet strike the pavement there's little cash register noises....
