Partial Real World NY Reunion on OWN

Sunday's episode of Oprah's Where Are They Now? will reunite original Real World: New York castmembers Norman Korpi, Julie Gentry, and Heather Gardner. The three taped their segment in the Soho loft where they lived for three months, 22 years ago. It's hard to believe the show started that long ago! Here is a preview of the episode:

    1. Oh, so these are the tricks who paved the way for the abomination that is "reality tv'?

Off with their heads, I say!!

    1. Yay! I will have someone to talk about it with! Yeah the blonde is JOKES! She was what a crack whore in the past? and "I only slept with 7 guys honestly----well it is actually 12 but I am being so honest" I like the lesbian from Boston---her accent cracks me up!

    2. I want to shove Violetta down an elevator shaft. And Tony protests too much: He must have said 20 times in one hour that he was into girls.

But I can't wait to see this reunion.

    1. I do too. This was before the story lines were scripted, altered, refilmed, etc. or at least it appeared that way. This cast was really a group of fish out of water, representing a variety of people learning and growing as they entered adulthood.

    2. Me too! I was 19 when it aired and had just moved to NYC. I remember seeing Julie on the upper west side and was like "Oh my god! That's the girl from Real World!" - totally psyched to see a "celebrity".

  4. Omgomgomgomg love this cast so much!!!!!!!! Mtv ran all the originals in the last year and I was in heaven!!! The nineties were so innocent and fun. I loved watching Heather B and Julie start out with a huge misunderstanding and now they are lifelong friends that even still go on vacations with Norman.
I love Where are They Now so much and I'm not even an Oprah fan! I always record it bc you never know who's going to be on. I think I e mentioned that my late night trying to fall asleep torture game is 1980's celebs pop in my head and if the insomnia is bad I grab my iphone and google. Anyone want to hear what Webster is up to? Just ask me! Leon Hall? I got the scoop!
