  1. Hot in Cleveland should have been taken behind the barn and put out of everyone's misery the first season. The only thing the y had going for it was Betty White. Bless her heart, she's no Sophia.

    1. Hot in Cleveland was just terrible -- and I say that as a resident of Cleveland! Really the show did us a disservice!

  2. I also heard that Perception has been cancelled. I liked Perception! It was a little different and quirky.

    1. I keep hearing about Perception. I'm sick off work for months and need new fodder for my binge viewing.

    2. Bee. Sorry to hear that you're so ill you'll be off for months. I hope it's nothing serious! On the bright side we'll be seeing more of you here.

  3. The vast wasteland of American television. I can hear the wind whistling through the barren, desolate landscape. Housewives are tumbleweeds in this hallucination. Dancing & singing & modeling are cacti, formulaic sitcoms are cattle skulls.
    OK, that's far enough.

  4. In other news, Adrian Peterson will not play this season at all, according to the NFL. If anyone cares. I'm an NFLphile.

    1. I'm so tired of hearing about Adrian Peterson!! I'm in MN and that's all that's being talked about today.

  5. Me too. I can't stomach any of these housewives reality or competition shows. I guess there's not enough of us out there that want to watch shows :(

    1. Did someone say "Cleveland Steamer"? How's about a hot carl or philly cheese snake?

  7. I assume The Affair will follow American Horror Story's format and season 2 will be a new cast and storyline.

    1. I was just talking about this last night - it would be very hard to continue on with the current cast/story. That's okay by me, Noah and Alison both kinda bug.

    3. *hand up* I do lotta. I love it. I don't watch much reality but Tyra is fierce. And bitchy hangry insecure girls sharing a house

    5. Wow! I don't think I've watched since Jaslene won that one year! Who are the judges now? Miss J is irreplaceable in my heart.

    6. Me!! I watch it and love every second!

    7. I watched it til Nigel and the J2 left...I have to admit that I went back when my good friend's step-daughters got all the way to the final two. From a flower girl in the wedding to a bar hopping wild child, it was hard to watch.

    8. I have loved ANTM and SYTYCD since the beginning. They are my guilty pleasures and I make no apologies for it.

  9. I can't believe ANTM has been on for 22 seasons. I know that can't equate to actual years can it?

    1. No way @Sherry! They must have multiple seasons per year. Or "cycles" as Tyra calls them :-)

  10. I watch it except it is now on Friday nights WTF? so I keep missing it this cycle. The addition of guys and social media does add fresh elements.

  11. A lot of good cable shows have or are ending so be interesting to see what they are coming up with to replace all those shows.

  12. I don't think Nail'd it will get a second season on Oxygen. I'm a nail art freak and I can barely stand to watch the show.

    1. Disco I just heard about Nail'd and it's been on my dvr for over a week. Is it really bad?

    2. @Kat it really is. @Disco, I only managed to watch the first show. I was one and done after that. I much prefer to read nail blogs. More wearable ideas and talent, less try hard and cheesy. (IMO of course)

    3. the quick dry challenges where they do wearable nail art is pretty cool, but the over the top "competition level" nails they do just make me roll my eyes. It's AMAZING what some of these people can manage with the acrylic medium, though. The editing and hamming it up for cameras is a bit unbearable, though.

I have a nail blog I rarely update these days, Jo Ella. nailtipsy.com

I've been getting more adventurous with my manis and taking photos. I just need to find the time at home to post them.

  13. There soon won't be a single writer or need for creativity in Hollywood. All reality crap brimming with feigned angst. The only reality I'd watch is the episode where all the entitled 'housewives' scrub my toilet.

  14. I enjoyed the few episodes i saw of hot in cleveland. Its really good and well written. Anyhoo, 6 seasons is cool, theyve already got reruns knocked, and made a bucket of money. Im guessing its gonna be ok.

  15. I'm hacked off that Perception got cancelled! There's so much shit TV. on, and that show had a bit of a twist on the typical cop show (like Forever) and so of COURSE they're gonna cancel it. There's 50 spin-offs of CSI on (I tried watching the NOLA version but it bored me to tears). I think the writers strike (from a few years back) really screwed everyone over because that just foisted more "unscripted" reality garbage on the viewers. Before long, Willow and Jaden will have a reality show and we can finally cancel cable.
