Fans of the Real World/Road Rules Challenges know that CT and Diem have a long romantic history with one another. CT took to his Instagram yesterday to post a touching tribute to Diem:
Not to lessen his grief, but I read an article where her friends said they were not together when she died, and that a month before in a separate interview she stated she was single.
They were apparently an on-and-off couple that became best friends. I think someone can be the love of your life even if you can't manage a successful relationship together.
I sometimes think those are the best kind of relationships. They know everything about each other and still can't call it quits, even though for whatever reason the "salt and pepper shaker" couple thing didn't work out. And that's not to say it wouldn't have happened for them in the future, if she'd had a future.
Actually there was none of her friends stated this that was PEOPLE unconfirmed sources.
XT and Diem were dating since rivals 2 ended a year ago. The are pictures of them in Boston and NO of the kissing and holding hands til July 2014 on tumble and twitter even facebook. They kept it private. The only reason he did the upcoming year challenge was because she wanted to do it
@Dragon...fwiw I remember reading something similar to that. And judging by that sweet pic of them sleeping in the hosp while holding hands, and his instagram tribute, you could see there were deep feelings between them.
Either way though, the whole situation is incredibly heartbreaking.
That made me cry. So sad. :(

Delete@Karen I agree! Clearly they were still very close. Not being a couple at the time of her death did not keep him from being by her side at the end.
