More Shakeups at The Today Show

Us Weekly exclusively reports that Natalie Morales and Willie Geist have been fired from the Today Show. Soon after those changes were made, the person who made them, Jamie Horowitz, was removed as NBC's general manager. It remains unclear whether or not NBC will try to entice Geist and Morales to stay; Morales is in talks with ABC and Geist has already lined up a new gig over at CBS.

    Shakeups are good. Not that i watch this crap but i do like a good shakeup.

    I don't get to watch the Today show much but when I've caught Willie Geist I have found him much more entertaining than Lauer.

      +1. He and Natalie Morales are actually the only 2 reasons I watch occasionally. I like that 3rd hour, the two of them and Al Roker are just a nice fit. No interest whatsoever in watching it without them, don't like Lauer or Guthrie.

    I really like Willie and thought he was bring groomed to replace Matt eventually. I've grown to dislike Matt over the years, but have stayed a loyal Today Show watcher. If Willie goes to CBS, I might just follow.

    I catch The Today show at the gym in the mornings

    Willie is way more likable that Matt

    And easier on the eyes

    Ok just turned on the tv and Natalie is on. Does that mean this is BS, or she was told you're fired, but please stay another day or two?

    I like these changes. I have never liked Natalie and Willie just doesn't seem to have a personality on the show. 9:00 hour is a mess, just horrible.

    If Willie Geist goes, maybe he'll take Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski ("Morning Joe' on MSNBC) with him. God I hate that show.

    Josh Elliott was poached from gma this year to be a co anchor on today. He had to be off air a certain amount of time because of his contract with abc. They are slowly grooming him to replace Matt Lauer. Don't be fooled folks. This was always the plan. Geist was a seat filler. I would imarine Josh will start appearing during the holidays. .

    As for Natalie I thought her younger son was matts conceived in turin Italy during the Olympics. .

    Re: Today Show, we still watch because it's habit, but I've never heard the rumor about Natalie's youngest possibly belonging to Matt, so that's interesting. I did notice over the past couple years (since Natalie confronted Matt's wife at their children's school) that Matt and Natalie have been sitting apart, not sent on location together very often, etc. Matt must have dirt on someone, to still be hanging around.

    My parents live next door to Natalie's in-laws. When I told my mom about the Matt/Natalie rumors, she googled her little heart out. And was not surprised.
