Celebrity Real Estate Update - Renee Zellweger Sells Mansion
Earlier this week, you saw the pictures of Renee Zellweger's Hamptons mansion, listed for $4.45 million. After Zellweger was revealed as the mansion's true owner (she had previously hid her ownership of the property), a bidding war broke out. The NY Post reports that the sale of the mansion closed on Friday, and for a quarter of a million over ask!

Ive no wish to be critical, but the celebs are very dull lately. Except of course Cosby. Did you reas 2 nights in a row when he performed he got an STANDING OVATION!!! One night he pretended to cry about accusations, and said mockingly, oh dont let your children near me, im evil. And crowd laughed and laughed. Now in 2006, he settled suit with 14 women. Now 16 hv come out in past few weeks. Thats 30, with very similiar stories, opast statue of limitations, with nothing to gain money wise from coming forward. Yet this man cant even dignify their stories with a statement. So 30 women are lying? You're the lying sack of shit cosby!

DeleteYes his attitude is like ha ha you can't get me, oh yeah, you've already been got, no new money coming in now but one would assume the Coz already had a healthy amount of money unless he's given too much away relying on residuals. The Soup was showing Janice Dickinson's photo of Cosby in his patchwork robe she describes in her rape story. Even if he is innocent, and to be honest I am not sure how you handle this if you were being railroaded, but I don't think cocky arrogance is a good tactic.
DeleteI think what did it for me and I will refind the story was the district attorney who said he investigated one of the complaints of rape and while he did believe the woman in his gut he didn't have enough evidence to lay a charge and because Cosby co-operated he dropped the matter reluctantly but he said if Cosby had not co-operated it make have been different.

Deleteauntliddy- I think he settled with 1 woman(the basketball player who now lives back in Canada) the other 13 were Jane Doe witnesses for her Civil case. These are the same women included now...so its about 15... it's still bad but these aren't all new incidents at all. : )
Delete@Tina-that's the D.A. who said she had a civil suit pending so he (D.A.) felt better-she took a year to make the claim- no forensic evidence- same girl,same case as above mentioned.
Deletethanks rolo, it is hard when it is he said she said, no injuries, I don't know what he was using in the old days but the date rape drug being used by rapists today escapes the system very quickly you have to get a blood sample taken very quickly to maybe catch some in your system along with getting to a hospital for a rape kit but you are in a haze just trying to figure out what happened. Even if there is semen he just says it was consensual but if you got prove of the date rape drug you got something.
DeleteWhere was he getting his date rape drugs, someone may just be ready to spill though he is probably in jail and looking for a deal but now you are going to have every media outlet chasing this down. This is what happened to Tiger and his mistress house of cards. Once the media gets the scent they don't let it go.

ReplyDeleteI'm all for innocent until proven guilty, but in his case an ounce of precaution is wise. Too many women with too similar stories.
As for Renee's house, why was she hiding her ownership? It seems it would only help the sale.
You keep it private (most ppl in upper pracket real estate do) so that every Tom, Dick & TMZ truck doesn't make an appointment to see the property for sh*ts & giggles.
ReplyDeleteI know some high end realtors won't show houses without proof of ability to purchase (i.e. 2 years tax returns). That at least keeps the less wealthy looky Lou's out.
DeleteMost realtors are careful about that but I know someone who had the cojones to make an appointment to view an actor's house up for sale. It was very illuminating.

DeleteHere is what you do when you sell you make it known a celebrity, you will get more interest and indeed a bidding war,
ReplyDeletewhen you buy you try to keep you name hidden for privacy and so maybe the owners won't jack up the price, and the smart celebrity buys property in a name other than their own, because property records are public, so nosy people and stalkers can have a hey day
I love how Cosby refused to comment on NPR about the rapes, but he has no problem joking about it in his act. POS! If I was a club owner I'd cancel his gig too. Just because people are stupid enough to pay to see this asshole, doesn't mean the club owners want his sorry ass booked. Not to mention it could all come back to bite them on the ass later if he gets convicted (in my dreams).
