  2. I'm a simple girl. Just give me a mimosa in the morning. Unless we're on a beach...then I want a bloody mary.

    1. and a good Cesar (I think they call it a Bloody Mary in the states)

    2. Derek, a Bloody Mary is made with tomato juice. It is NOTHING like a Caesar! (Which I love, BTW. Have you had it with gin? Fab!)

    3. I don't think you can buy Mott's Clamato in the States - 'tis a pity...

    4. Oh yes you can Lisi T. We make bloody beers with it. Clamato is the best.

  7. I don't drink many cocktails these days - though in my younger days I loved a good Seabreeze.

I stick to wine now. You don't have to place your faith in the bartender and it has self-contained portability.

  8. @derek a caesar is aka Clamato, a bloody mary with clamato juice and quite yummy, my personal sunday by the pool favorite.
Nighttime cocktail would have to be a lemon drop martini but to be honest I'm good with a snifter of aged tequila.

  9. Right now I'm ok with the Percocet/morphine/Ativan combo I've been given the last few days.

    1. +1!! Memories of drinking them on Lake Mead, boating on Sundays in the 80s!! And remember Bartyles and James (sp.?). Didn't Bruce Willis do commercials for them?

    2. Bruce did the commercials for Seagram's. (With the harmonica and a band and all of that, when he thought he was "Bruno," remember? "Seagram's Golden Wine Cooler, it's wet and it's dry...") The old guys on the porch were B&J. ;-)

    3. no i couldn't afford seagram's or b/j i had to settle for 2$chuck or pbr in a can or schlitz malt liquor..(no judging)

  11. Cuervo Gold. Neat. No garnishes, etc. In a snifter (for ladylike cocktail-sipping). In a rocks glass, for more serious indulging. I also like the 1800. I've enjoyed tequila bars and tastings, but I like Cuervo Gold the best. Starting drinking tequila in 1983 and never wavered. I also like margaritas (preferably made with Grand Marnier or Cointreau), & a glass of wine when out to dinner. And Grand Marnier very occasionally, as an aperitif. Champagne.
I actually rarely drink these days, and to me it's part of social occasions; I got into alot of trouble being a wild drinker when I was younger, & found as I'm older it leaves me feeling too crappy physically, & I no longer have the patience to deal with the aftermath of whatever stupid crap I did when drunk. So I drink maybe twice a year.

    2. "wrong". AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    3. I must concur with your choice of margarita with Grand Marnier or Cointreau. Pappadeaux makes a margarita that will rock your world. Add to that crawfish étouffée and oysters Rockafeller and I'm in heaven.

    1. What's babyduck champagne, Derek?

    2. It is this nasty cheap sparkling wine/champagne type thing that usually teenage girls drink and tastes like hairspray.

    3. I believe it's a Canadian right of passage for teenage girls to barf up some baby duck. My friend threw hers up into my crocheted handbag at a Supertramp concert.

    4. I recall cherry vodka being a rite of passage back in the late 1970's. Back before flavored Absolute Vodka was a glimmer in anybody's eye.

  13. Either a bloody mary or a white russian. Although Im not real big on mixed drinks, I prefer beer. But every once in awhile I get a craving for a bloody mary.

  14. I'm a wino forever, but sometimes I shake it up with rum-n-coke because it is low carb (according to my diabetic in-laws).

  15. White wine with grapefruit juice & Sugar free Rockstar. (Equal parts of each)

I don't do hard alcohol- Ever seen the movie "Blind Date"?

  21. Pisco Sour or vodka soda splash of grapefruit. I also enjoy skinny margaritas regular ones can be too sweet. Mimosas too.

  22. Tanqueray and tonic with a lime. The Red Lobster near me makes a mean Long Island Iced Tea though.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jack and soda with lime. You can take the girl out of Tennessee...

  24. My old ass drinks red wine and lots of it. In my college days, I was a vodka girl. And I had a vanilla Stoli and ginger ale stage in my 20s.

  25. Tequila shots if out with the girls...
Margarita Blended No Salt at Mexican...
    Mimosa if before 1pm...
    But usually Vodka & Sprite.

    (I swear I don't have a problem! Lol!)
