  6. Great question!

    Who shot Kennedy
What really happened the night Natalie Wood drowned
Amelia Earhart's disappearance (though new information has come out about that)

    1. If we are talking about celeb mysteries, Natalie Wood would be my #1. I was a little kid when she died. I loved her so much, I still remember the shock.

What bugs me is that people don't remember her movies anymore - she's just become "that actress who drowned." .

    2. I go back and forth about it too! How does Jay know where the car is? Did Jay do it, or is he telling the truth? I spend too much time on reddit about this.

    3. That's exactly what I was gonna say. That poor kid was born to be used. It makes me so sad.

    4. I was gona say this. Maybe the brother. His interviews with the cops/ counceler were strange and also that she was only digitally penetrated. Also, you can here the mom talking to him on the 911 call saying what did you do? (Or something like that) when she later said he was sleep. Oh and the fact that someone fed her pineapple right before.

  10. The Ronni Chasen mystery is a great one. I'm sure there is an epic story behind her death.

Totally off-topic, but yesterday I posted my farewell to Enty on his Facebook page. It now has 74 likes!

    1. I'm not a FB expert, so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I couldn't find your comment. Any clues where to find it?

    2. Search for "Enty Lawyer" for his profile, and it is on his page. Not sure if you can see it if you're not friends with him. I unfriended him after I posted it, and can still see it.

    3. I just followed him so now I can see all the comments to his posts, but I couldn't find any comments with more than 10 or so likes. What am I doing wrong? Ugh.

    4. I think Facebook sometimes hides posts on profile pages that aren't from the person whose profile it is. Look in the top of the left column for an option that lets you see all posts.

      The text I posted is:
Enty -- I was a reader of CDAN since the beginning. I fondly remember you sending a personal note on my birthday on Facebook (it has been a long time since the site was small enough that you could do that!). I have defended you many times, as people accused you of selling, being a fake, etc. Today is the day I can't defend you anymore. I simply cannot get through the navigation on the site redesign. Extra scrolls to get past the ads. Extra clicks to get to comments. Long load times because there are so many extraneous ads. I get that you want to make money. Heck, I make a career our of helping web sites make money. And I understand that there's a tradeoff between UI and revenue. There's a right way to make changes, and there is a wrong way. You've chosen the wrong way -- almost a textbook case of how not to do a site redesign. I have been reading the companion site not out of hate, but out of love -- me wanting to find a way to stay connected to your great content without having to spend three times as long to read it as it used to take. Deep inside me, I still wish you would pay attention to user feedback and make changes stat (revert back, and test in individual changes). Just because your site is free doesn't mean I have to put up with anything. I have power in my vote, in my reading bandwidth, and in my time spent with you. Today I'm choosing to exercise that, by finding other sites to read. You have lost a very loyal reader. Ciao.

    4. Also, considering how much money the Kennedy family was making off of selling weapons (I once talked to a guy the used to work at Marvel back in the 60's who told me that Tony Stark was based off of Howard Hughes and several members of the Kennedy family) that there was no way John would end the American involvement in Vietnam and with Bobby running in the late 60's (and probably winning had he been alive) and not ending it either, that the military was probably involved in some aspect of their assassinations since they knew they were fighting a losing war that would be detrimental to the view of the military for the foreseeable future.

That December a guy about the same age as me vanished after attending his office Christmas party, which was held on the same street that my office was located. His name was Trevor Deely and no trace was ever found of him. Every year at the same time his family appeal for information. For some reason his story has always stayed with me.

It's not a mystery as such, but I would love there to be some sort of closure for his family, and the families of all missing persons. It must be an utter hell not knowing what has happened.

Before her death, she said "if I'm ever found dead, it won't be a suicide but they will make it look that way." If you're not familiar with the story, you should wiki her. It's very interested. Why anyone thought leisure suits were a good idea

    ReplyDelete

    1. I have a great story from everyone at the hospital at the time I was born about leisure suits. My Mom was in labor for a long time (almost dying during it) and while she was out of it, she kept asking my Dad why he wasn't wearing his leisure suit (You can tell I was born in the 70's) so my Dad, not living too far from the hospital, went and put one on. So he gets back in less than 20 minutes and goes into the delivery room with my Mom. She looks at him and says "Why do you have that ugly thing on?" Dad replied, "You asked me why I wasn't wearing it so I went home and put it on for you." She closed her eyes like she was falling asleep because of the meds they gave her and she says, "When I get home with the baby, we're going to burn that suit, OK?"

  40. What Jesus was doing during those missing years and was he truly married with a family?

I'd like to see the complete set (with NO text missing) from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Like to know what the Catholic Church really has in the Vatican basement.

    Replies
    1. The Vatican has the largest collection of pornography/sexually explicit art in the world. Probably in their basement.

      Delete
    2. Now, this is second or third hand about the Vatican's "Hidden Library" but according to my Dad, Uncle's and Aunt who went to a Catholic School held in a convent here, one of the nun's was a former Vatican nun who worked as a "librarian". Supposedly, she worked in the "Hidden Library" for a while and told some interesting things that were in there to the other nuns who then told students. According to what they were told:
      1) They have texts going back to the Old Testament days showing the real story of Moses and the Egyptians.
      2) Pieces of the "True Cross" and the cross Peter was crucified on.
      3) Epistles written by "Peter" that weren't included in the N.T.
      4) The nails that pierced Jesus' hands and feet (4, his feet were attached on opposite sides of the cross, not one on top of the other as in popular culture)
      5) Proof that Jesus was married and had children and that they were sent away after the Crucifixion for their safety.
      6) The proof that could change everyone's view of Judas showing that Jesus was never betrayed but was just arrested for basically breaking the laws of the Torah and the Romans.
      7) A lot of the books that were considered "The Library of Alexandria"
      8) Works by Newton, Michelangelo, Plato, Aristotle and Da Vinci
      9) The crypt/body of St. Peter
      10) Thousands of pounds of gold and silver coins from centuries ago (imagine the value in gold and silver content, let alone the value to collectors)
And the one piece I find the most interesting:
      11) Letters to and from Saul/Paul of Tarsus to other church leaders at the time discussing the way they could get more converts by inventing a story of being blinded by a light that turns out to be Jesus coming from the clouds and changing Saul's life and giving him the name of Paul while making him a convert to Christianity, therefore making the entire story of a person who persecuted Christians converting and seeing the "truth" a lie. The early church was trying to get converts so they would have two things that they felt they were promised by Jesus but not given, money and power. Seemingly, they felt that by gaining many, many members, they would be able to gain their "kingdom" and were still abiding and doing the works that they were promised thereby still serving their "master" Jesus.

You can see why they would send someone like that to a small(er) convent in Arkansas. You couldn't send her to one of the "major" states like New York, California, etc... there would be too big of a chance for those types of things getting out to the press and people. They sent her here but they never imagined something like the internet where the things she told people 60+ years ago could go out throughout the world with one button press like.
      Right.
      Now.

  44. I would love to find out the true story of a woman named Lori Erica Ruff.

In the 80's she acquired the identity of Becky Sue Turner, a girl who died in a house fire when she was 2 years old. Lori was able to get an ID as Becky Sue but then applied to legally change her name to Lori Kennedy shortly afterwards. She then married a Texas businessman named Blake Ruff.

She and Blake were separated when she shot herself in the driveway of Blake's family estate. It was then that Blake told his brother-in-law about a box Lori kept that he (Blake) was never to look at. Of course, BIL went straight for the box and out comes all these documents: name changes, birth/death certificate copies of Becky Sue, licenses, cryptic notes Lori had and scribbled that no one can figure out.

This just eats at the Agatha Christie wannabe in me! Link if anyone is interested.

    1. I have a theory on Autism that I don't mean to sound insensitive with but here goes: If you notice, the majority of people with Autism seem to like a lot of Anime (Japanese animation such as Pokemon, Naruto, etc.) and Japanese games such as the Pokemon series and other games of that type. There's a lot of flashing lights and strobe effects in those shows and games. Those can play hell with people with Epilepsy, so my theory is that those types of things affect dormant Epilepsy genes and gives the people the symptoms that we consider Autism, because if you notice, it wasn't that big of an issue until the last couple of decades, conveniently the same time frame that those things became popular to people in the West.

As a matter of fact, if you didn't know there was an episode of the Pokemon anime that was actually banned in Japan (and then the US) that on it's first broadcast had such a strong strobe effect caused hundreds of kids to have seizures. That was one episode, imagine watching hundreds or thousands of hours of those type things over a period of a few years.

Like I said, just a theory but it's a lot more plausible than the anti-vaccination crowd and something I think should be looked into.
