Johnny Depp Weds On His Private Island

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married at home last week to make things legal, but they had their ceremony over the weekend in the Bahamas. The couple swapped vows on Depp's private island Little Hall's Pond Cay. The bride wore white, and Depp wore a white jacket and black pants. It appears that Depp's son Jack may have acted as Depp's best man. People has exclusive photos from the event, see them here.

  1. She was going to make sure they actually married. He's been engaged a lot but never married. Gold diggers got to make sure they are married if you can't put up with being partners for 8+ yrs. how soon before a kid comes to seal the deal?

  2. @Sherry, actually he was married, once in the 1980s before fortune and fame. His first wife is occasionally papped; she is a makeup artist who looks her age.

So the son was best man. Wonder if daughter Lily Rose, who I think is about 15, attended the ceremony. As I recall, the kids didn't initially like Amber Heard.

    1. Nutty I knew that but didn't write that line correctly. First statement of the day without my tea so not real sharp obviously. Thanks for helping me out.

  3. Start the clock. I give it 18 months if there's no baby, 34 if there is a baby, and when it implodes the official report will be the standard too much time apart due to career demands b.s. that publicists always pull out of their arses.

    1. Morning IJU. I wanted to ask if you are familiar with an author named Kevin Barry? I just read City of Bohane and it was fecking killer! The language was so fabulous and I could hear the Irish brogue in everyone. I think you might like it. Not Cuz you're Itish or maybe, yeah it is. Pick it up at the library !

    3. Afternoon Sherry Baby. I haven't read him yet, but thanks for the recommendation. I'm currently reading 3 different books so I'll stick him on the list for later.
If you like a good laugh and an Irish lilt you should read Marian Keyes. She speaks/writes in Dublinese and she's gas.

    4. Thanks IJU. Any one book in particular or all of 'em? Love humor and really odd stuff like Mark Leyner.

    5. Most of them are good Sherry, but the ones about the Walsh sisters crack me up. 5 sisters from Dublin, all different, but all funny. Various shenanigans ensue. Great holiday, beach reads.

  8. First of all, exclusive photos? More like pap shots from a heli, which i think is a pain in the ass for people getting married. If they had wanted you there, they wld have invited you. Secondly, alot of you seem to think shes getting some sort of prize he looks in pretty bad shape, with his middle aged paunch and vacant look, dyed hair and studied look trying to look/be untra cool. If shes screwing him over, he will find out soon enough. Mb he wants someone to control his life, idk. And a 15 yr old girl whose father is marrying younger woman can for sure be counted on as a no-show.

  11. Maybe Depp should've sat down with Sir Paul McCartney about being led around by the small head and not getting an ironclad prenup. I give it less than a year.
