Jon Stewart Leaving The Daily Show

Variety reports that Jon Stewart will be leaving The Daily Show when his contract is up, around the Fall of this year. Stewart has hosted the program for 17 years; he took over from Craig Kilbourn in 1999. Comedy Central is preparing for his departure, and has already started the search for a new host.
