Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Name Their Baby

E! is reporting that they have learned the name of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds daughter, which has been kept secret by the couple. Earlier reports stated the name as Violet, but now E! is exclusively reporting that a source has revealed to them that the baby's name is James. What do you think of the name?

    Not saying I dislike it, but James certainly isn't a common name for a girl.

    Name is fine. Ive known other james and michael for girls. But why was everyone so interested?

      I think it drew interest because they withheld the name so long (which is completely their right to do).

    It will probably be adapted to Jamie as the baby grows up, but why not call her Jamie officially in the first place? At least she didn't name the kid Apple or something equally stupid that most Hollywood parents like to torture their kids with.

      Just because you say something (or other people have done something like name their daughter James) doesn't make it true.

      and unfortunately this is going to cause issues at the airport and border crossings since James is not in common usage for females

    Hating James for a girl because that's my grandpa and uncles name, along with an ex boyfriend etc etc etc. I wouldn't name my boy Stacey, Carroll or Sue either. But hey that's just me, it ain't my kid.

    My dad was a Carroll. Growing up it was different, but I liked it. So did he - different generation though, like Carroll O' Connor.
