Lots of explanations and lies and excuses as to why this actress looks so different. Different hair, different makeup, Botox, fillers, etc. Frankly, you can actually do any one of those things (within reason) and still not change your unique, signature look. But when you change too many things at once, people notice.
Want to know what she really had done? Well, she did have surgery, but not as much as people think! She did not change her nose or her chin or her jaw or her neck or get cheek implants or a forehead lift. She had lower blepharoplasty to get rid of the bags under her eyes. She also had a very small amount of injectables. Seriously. That’s it.
She would have gotten away with it, too, and simply looked “refreshed” if she hadn’t changed her overall styling so drastically. She thought the change in hair and makeup would be a distraction, but it actually had the opposite effect and brought too much attention to everything. Harsh lesson to learn, and she’s kicking herself now. She’ll look more like her old self when she goes back to traditional hair and smudgy makeup for her next major outing.

ReplyDeleteI think it's Zellweger. I don't think Uma looked all that different, just wider brows..Renee however, really looked very different.

ReplyDeleteShe's always had fantastic eyes so you noticed this surgery, like when men get the eyes done it is immediately obvious they don't have makeup to blame really

DeleteUma - slicked hair & minimal makeup just made it MORE obvious! Glad to hear it was minimal - hopefully once everything settles she will go back to looking like a fresher version of her beautiful self again soon!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say clearly Zellwegger until I saw was Uma looked like on the red carpet and there were a bunch of stories about her makeup. She did look back to normal on her Today show interview where she talked about it.

ReplyDeleteI'm going with Renee only because I cannot recall Uma ever being 'smudgy' with the makeup. She is like Cate Blanchett in my mind, more glamour than anything.

I saw the photos yesterday. She really did look awful - so severe. When you compare her features one-by-one, it didn't appear she had anything major done, but she did herself no favors by changing her make-up. Had she worn her usual eyeliner and mascara, I doubt anyone would have noticed anything. I also think the shade of lipstick was too much for her, she should stick to lighter shades.

ReplyDeleteThey just had something on The Doctors (don't judge!) about Uma and that a plastic surgeon said it appears she had the bags removed.

That makeup artist should be fired.
ReplyDeleteUma hit some morning show today..with LOTS of eye makeup--looked fine, but a little different.
ReplyDeleteShe looked like herself on tv this am, so mb it was just makeup. Certainly if someone looks different, people will talk, but really, this level of attention? She still has that great distinctive look. I guess when we get used to our celebs, and like them, we dont want them changing on us! Lol

ReplyDeleteWhen she was at the promo thing for - Slapped, her eyes were HORRIBLE!!! She had no mascara on and what looked like white frosted eyeshadow. Her eyes looked all kinds of wrong. She also has one eye that protrudes more than the other and that white frosty shadow just emphasized that. She looks much better in a smudged smoky eye now that she's gotten a bit older and for Godsake where some mascara girl!!!
Pinky, I still love Scooby Doo! Sponge Bob is my secret guilty pleasure though :)

ReplyDeleteOkay I saw her appearance on today and yeah she looks like her usual self so it does show how makeup makes a big difference, which is why men can't get away with plastic surgery the same as women - she has done that hair before though, and there is no doubt she is getting tweaks of some kind over the years.
