    1. Me too. I'm not totally upset with the ending, but I don't feel any sense of satisfaction. I'm still processing.

    2. You Could not have described this sensation better...

    3. @AllLace-- I completely agree. I feel like the last time I felt empathy with a character and got emotional, was when Tara died. The season could have ended with one or two episodes afterward, rather than dragging out things. By the end of SoA, I felt no empathy whatsoever toward Jax. I kept thinking "I've known you were a bad person for several seasons now. What took you so long?"

  2. Slogging along, working for the weekend. It's chilly & cloudy and an excellent day to have stayed in bed, which I did not because I'm something of a dumbass.

  3. Killing time waiting to pick up child from Christmas pageant.

  4. It's a grey, miserable day here. Not nice enough to be fall, not nasty enough to be winter. I should be Christmas shopping or at least knitting on a hat & mitten gift, but I can't bring myself to do it.

I have spent the day looking at super automatic espresso machines on Amazon, etc. I want one, but cannot bring myself to fork out that much money on coffee....

    1. I'm pining over an electric tea kettle with infuser. I drink LOTS of tea.

    2. Uno, if you have the cash, I highly recommend the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker. You can find it here: Tea Maker

I love mine! If you're into a lot of different types of teas, green, black, herbal, etc. It takes the guesswork out of how hot the water should be and how long it should steep.

    3. I want a Breville so bad! Way too expensive even with the discount I would get from work.

    4. I thought so too, but I am so glad I got one. I never liked hot tea before, but after getting the Breville and some really good loose leaf tea, I found that it was the old, flavorless Lipton tea my mother used to have in the house and the fact that I didn't know different teas should be steeped at different temps.

    5. Where do you get your tea from? I work at a tea shop and they don't have enough varieties of plain oolong tea so I've been looking for a place to order from.

    6. Beetlejuice, I never looked for oolong but my two favorite tea places are http://mrskellystea.com and Harney.com
Mrs Kelly's is run by really nice people in Minneapolis and they have a sample bag for about $5 with about ten samples. I've ordered tons from them. From Harneys I've only had the Paris at a local shop and it was so good I ordered it. Harvey's is a good quality made in Connecticut.

    7. I love my espresso machine. At $3.50 a pop for takeaway coffee it paid itself off in no time

    8. I have a mug from T2 (they make the most amazing blends of tea. Their earl grey & chai are to die for) & it has an insert where you place the leaves inside and then put the lid on and brew it
It's like a teapot in mug form.

  5. I'm stuck in my neighbouring very small town due to a rockslide yesterday; last night made friends with stranded truckers at dinner, one of them bought me a Burt Reynolds shooter - so delicious. Slept on a friend's couch. Feeling like a leftover.

    1. Holy crap Kimba! I hope you're not missing anything important and you can make this an exciting adventure.

    2. Nothing adventurous about it Kat! If I drove my truck to work instead of the car yesterday, I would beetle over the mountain and 4x4 it - that would be an adventure!
My husband is going to decorate the tree without me if I don't make it home in time to help.
Good work with the cats! You're a good human!

    3. Im starving. Please tell me what a Burt Reynolds Shooter is and I hope it's food

Well sounds like you had an interesting dinner?

    4. Captain Morgan spiced rum & Butter Ripple Schnapps - I need one right now, because word is the HWY will be closed for another day & the mountain pass is now closed too. I've have lots of options, like staying at my friend's who has a winery : ) but I'd really rather go home and sleep off the Burt Reynolds.

    5. Kimba, i understand. Id always rather be home than anywhere else. With my hubby. Good luck!

  6. Well, I've been trapping kitties since I woke up. So far I got two that are in my garage now. One has already been fixed so I'm just keeping it out of the mix for now. It kills me bc I think it's fosterable but I don't think I have a room to put it in :(
It's drizzling so I'm in my fleece pant/hoodie ensemble that we discussed yesterday lol and not showering until im done bc every time I go outside to check I just get damper and grosser.

It's going to suck if I only end up with one out of five cats that aren't fixed. (You can tell bc the clinics cut the tip of one ear off and tattoo the stomach but the ear is visible).

    1. Almost forgot this very important detail. I REEK of mackerel. It won't come off my hands and it spilled on my hoodie.

    2. I think you're awesome for doing this for the kitties, Kat

  7. Anyone see gross Brandi and Sandra Bernhard on Watch What Happens Live! last night? AMAZINGLY brilliant guest pairing!

    1. @Kat. Didn't see that train wreck. I'd hope that Sandra ate Brandi alive if given the chance. I saw Brandi's "re-filled" face in DM. BUT Sandra might be in the same course, I haven't seen her for a while.

    2. She DID eat Brandi alive! It was beautiful! Not in a really mean, called her ugly to her face but a mature, why do you want to live your life like this, way.

    3. Kat, hope you get all the kitties you need. And then mb u can come my way and try to trap my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter. We are quite sure she is feral, lol. I mean you're in the resturant, and where her pretty head should be is a boot. Or a foot. Or a hand. There is time spent under the table, then somehow, she broke out and youre looking at her across the place! Lol. She's completely adorable tho, so real struggle to correct her without laughing hysterically.

    4. Lolllll Liddy you are the best! She sounds adorable!
Well I ended up with three kitties, one was done so I let it go and it was my favorite so I hope it returns. Two I'm taking tomorrow and one of them is so adorable and not afraid. She let my friend pet it through the cage. The other hisses and claws if you touch the blanket cover... Still three more outside I need to get but it got dark and can't leave traps out overnight.

  8. Eerily slow day at work, too slow. Trying to remember what tasks I must be neglecting and watching the clock. Yawn.

  9. Found out my one month old has a heart murmur. Nothing serious, but still scary as a mom. Anyone have any experience with having one or having a child with one?

    1. My niece has one. It gets checked every time she goes to the doctor and they said it might close up. She is perfectly happy and healthy tho. My mother has lived 60+ years with a murmur as well. Good vibes to your baby!

    2. My grandma - who will turn 82 next month - has had one all her life as well. Try not to stress over it too much :) (not trying to sound flippant) Concern is obviously justified, but in a vast majority of cases it's a totally manageable diagnosis these days. Sending you and your behbeh good thoughts as well :)

    3. Thanks guys! Helps me worry a bit less reading your comments;)

    4. My son was diagnosed with one when he was around 2 years old. We took him to a pediatric cardiologist and she said it was benign. He's 19 now and it's never going to be a problem. It's probably pretty common and you're baby should be fine.

    5. I have one. It's usually pretty manageable, however awful for a parent to hear. Wishing you and bubs all the best.

  10. It seems I've had one all my life and no one thought it was important to tell me until recently.

  11. Here in Sacramento we are bracing for a pretty intense storm (for us anyway). Should be here in a couple hours. Between tonight and tomorrow we are supposed to get a few inches of rain with 60-70mph winds. There is some concern about the levees breaking. Luckily I live upstairs lol
