Joan Rivers' Will

The contents of Joan Rivers' will were revealed when it was filed on Tuesday. Rivers had an estimated $150 million fortune. In addition to leaving money to family and friends, she also left contributions to her favorite charities: Guide Dogs for the Blind in California, the Queens-based food pantry God's Love We Deliver, the Jewish Guild for the Blind in Manhattan, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Jewish Home and Hospital Foundation in Manhattan, Page Six reports. The filing also mentioned a forthcoming medical malpractice suit over Rivers' untimely death.

    Good for Joan. Nice to see she thought of others in her will. I preferred her comedy from her early years -- she wasn't nasty towards others then -- but appreciated her fortitude. She battled back from a lot of hard knocks, Lord love her.

    If I remember right, didn't her husband leave her bankrupt when he committed suicide?

    Yes her husband ran her TV show at Fox into the ground and fox wanted to fire him and she wouldn't let them so fox cancelled the show and he ran them so far into debt that he killed himself. Joan was left holding the bag with little Melissa so she filed for bankruptcy and started doing stand up shows and working her way back. . She talked about how the fact that she never saw Melissa was killing her so her therapist SaI'd for Joan to have Melissa keep Joans hours and so Joan would come home from gigs and wake Melissa up and play with her and then they would sleep in together.

    Yeah, her husband screwed her over good, but he wasnt in his right mind. I like how she was wirth $150 million, but ran her life like she was a month behind on the rent for a coldwater flat. I knew she's do the right thing with the money and melissa will too.

    Nice to see her charity work lived on after her death. She knew what it was like to have nothing and once she was successful again gave generously of her time and money. RIP Joan.

    A piece of work documentary is fantastic even if you don't like her you got to give her props for working so hard at her age RIP
