Casey Kasem's Estate Sued by AmEx

Someone in Casey's life racked up $41,046.70 in charges in the last year of his life and American Express has filed a creditor's claim for the money. Casey was invalid toward the end of his life, so sources assume his wife, Jean, racked up the charges.

Casey's body has still not been buried, six months after his death.

    1. It's really sad. Are they just going to let him rot?

    2. Very sad. His family needs to get it together to at least show that maybe they actually love the man enough to let him literally rest. Sick what folks will do over money. :-(

  5. There's something about death (and impending death) that brings out the this ugly, greedy side of people.

  10. His daughter guest hosted a couple times (since his death) on the talk radio station that I listen to.
I'd seen her protesting in front of his house and she looked like a legal eagle type. When I heard her talking about her life, her friends, I googled her images. I saw a very different woman - posing in bikini and heels at pool parties, looking very party girl...idk. She spoke of how money wise and responsible she is but I kinda wonder if she's got some cray cray in her- split personality. But PROB no where near Jean's status.

  11. What about James Brown?

The body of James Brown has suffered a superbad fate — dismembered as part of a paternity dispute and relocated 14 times because of family in-fighting.

Brown’s widow, Tomi Rae, described the tragic turn of events in an interview with London’s The Mail on Sunday.

The body of the legendary singer was cut up after a judge ordered a DNA test to determine whether Brown was the father of Rae’s son, James Jr.

“They couldn’t do the normal DNA test because of all the embalming fluid in his body,” Rae said. “So they had to cut off his legs to get to his bone marrow. I wept uncontrollably when I found out. My husband, the greatest dancer in the world, had his legs hacked off in death.”

A family feud caused the Godfather of Soul’s body to be moved again and again in the six months after his death, finally ending up in the garden of his eldest daughter Deanna’s home in Georgia.

“That is the final insult to James,” Rae said.
