Former America's Next Top Model Finalist Sentence to 12 Years in Jail

Former America's Next Top Model finalist Renee Alway, 28, pled guilty to four felony burglary counts, one count of vehicle theft, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, the Daily Mail reports. The crimes took place in Palm Springs, and Alway has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Renee competed on Cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model; Jaslene Gonzalez won that season.     Wow. Why did I think she was on the season with Eva. I thought those two were besties. I didn't realize the other meth girl was on this season as well. Kids, Don't Do Meth.

    I like how she blames losing on her life of crime...like that was her only other option. I'm either America's Next Top Model, or I am going to turn into a meth addict and rob people and stores to support my habit. Until she gets it that she did this herself, she isn't going to turn her life around.

      Yeah, she was in her 20's when she was on the show. No way she is still only 28. I'd put her at about 34-35

      @IJU...wikipedia is telling me she really is 28, which put Renee in her early twenties on the show. But she does look so much older, which I guess is what a life of crime will do to a person. I believe Tyra also used to tell her she looked "old" in her photos, so maybe it makes sense she isn't aging well IRL.

    She has lovely bone structure. Such a shame when someone has potential and gets a chance many others would die to have, then squanders it completely. And she has a child, too.

    Oh man, she looks like a totally different person with the hawk and like a ghost in the spiral photo. Given that I watched that season, I'm equally bummed she didn't succeed and meh that just because you look good on camera once doesn't mean you look good forever.
