Nicole Kidman's Tough Year
The Guardian reports that 2014 was a difficult year for Nicole Kidman after losing her father, Antony Kidman in August. "Personally [it’s been] really really really hard. My family underwent a massive tragedy. So not my favorite
year. But I try not to be ungrateful – I’m grateful to be alive." Kidman spoke at the premiere of Paddington in which she plays the villainous taxidermist who wants to stuff Paddington the bear. She says that she chose to do the movie, after a rocky year of film choices, so that her daughters could see one of her films.

Not to mention the pedophile allegations. I am sure it was rough losing her dad. They were very close.

Personally, I like her and most of her movies (except for that awful Far and Away with Cruise's lapsing accents). To have your father die, and then have it come out that he was being investigated for something so hideous cannot be easy.
ReplyDeleteI actually like far and away, I know, but I'm okay admitting it. I am fairly confident that a lot of the bad things about her, her dad have origins in the scientology department of misinformation, so I give a huge grain of salt regarding rumours about Nicole. She's cold? Says the psyco ex, but idk, Lenny kravitz?
Delete7-11-i dont mind her either. Her life has been a roller coaster. I think i read her father had been exhonorated, but not sure. Its a creepy burden alright.
ReplyDeleteShe and Renee Zellweger get a lot of flack about stuff but I'm a big fan of both. I just watched Fur; An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) last night. I had ordered it off eBay recently and it's a really interesting movie Nicole did with RDJ. I think both Nicole and Renee really have a pretty diverse catalog. Both have done quality films that are outside the box. I don't know why Enty dislikes them both so much.
ReplyDeleteI like Kidman. When she first divorced from Cruise, the Hollywood elite was FIRMLY on her side, so much so, she got an Oscar out of it for Moulin Rouge. All the bad gossip came not much later and I think that was CO$ propaganda, even though she never said a word about them. She is a good actress and does ALOT of good movies that most name actresses would pass on because they are one step above indies. And she is classy. Unless she beats her staff, I don't get why Enty or anyone else hates her.
