Celebrity Real Estate - Bieber Fever

Justin Bieber is renting a Beverly Hills mansion that bears a striking resemblance to a salad spinner for $59K/month. The house comes with 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms, and hopefully a hefty deposit to the owners. See pictures of the house at Curbed. Bieber may soon get some new neighbors in the form of Jay Z and Beyonce. You saw the house that they were looking at a couple of weeks ago; rumor has it that the couple is embroiled in a bidding war that they are expecting to win at a price of $70 million.

  1. Does this kid even make music anymore? Does he have fans? I have a hard time seeing him selling out stadiums anymore......

    1. God only knows why, but this is from Forbes

"Bieber tops our list of the Highest-Earning Celebrities Under 30 with an estimated $80 million over the 12-month span we evaluated, mostly thanks to the tail end of his world tour."

  2. That house is gorgeous and doesn't even remotely resemble a salad spinner.

  3. 59k a month? 70 million for a house? Must be nice! Meanwhile I wonder how we are going to afford my daughters birthday, Hanukkah, and Christmas all in one month.

  4. So he is going to spend over $700,000 for one year's rent? That's ridiculous. Why not purchase something and then rent or sell it when it no longer suits your needs? I wonder if this kid's management have invested his money for him? I suspect he'll need it at some point soonish. I can't see him having any longevity. A lot of his initial fan base has grown up and moved on and his behavior the last few years won't earn him new pre-teen fans. What parent would pay for their teen daughter to go to a Bieber concert these days?

Nifty house, not my type of architecture, but the views are tremendous. Unfortunately, that house will probably be trashed when he's done with it. I imagine the rental agreement includes a sizable deposit and an clause that makes it easy for the landlord to throw him out.

    1. If Bieber actually purchased property in an area, all the local house values would plummet. Whereas, if he rents, there's always the silver lining that it's temporary. Perhaps he is being charitable for a change?

  7. This brat is always renting houses. I guess he gets kicked out of them just as fast.

I can just see all of those windows being broken in the next few months.
