  3. I'm watching the east coast feed on satellite. I'm Afraid Jax will die, but I hope not.

  4. Hey There @Gweeds

If my dreams come true, Venus will appear as well.
Jax will most likely die because we all get what we "deserve," right? This will secure the hybridization of SOA. It's not like he can live free or functionally after all that has happened anyways.

Cool them beers and roll them smokes, yo. Shit is about to get real.
Sending love to all my SOA fans tonight

    2. Oh but Guido, I really would have loved to have seen him in that role ;) You're right though, as an actor he certainly made the right choice.
I haven't been following this season since Gemma killed the wife but I have come across some spoilers without realizing it so I'll try to follow along tonight. Is this the end of the series or just the season finale?

  6. My auto tune just clicked to FX. Here we go!

  7. I'm starting to think they are spending so much time on the buildup to Jax' death that he will end up living. I guess we'll know soon.

  8. Ha, love the not so subtle (Sam) Crows at the end. I suppose the writers didn't really gibe with how to be subtle with that whole 'foreshadowing' thing.

    1. Thats how I felt when Chucky said, "I put the plates on your dad's bike." Really, writers??? I guess they felt the need to spell it out for us, but it was kind of insulting.

  9. Re: foreshadowing- i think im pretty bright but that stuff goes over my head. Just watching the aftershow- whi wld hv thought Sutter wld be so piss poor at interviewing?? This is why i guess they have an outsider hist- its a good thing! Between Sutter's 20 minute questions, and interupting Hunnan with lame videos, its actually painful to watch. If he's gonna do that for an hour, im bailing! SPOILER ALERT!!! I think the scene of Jax's final ride was awesome. Loved it. More tomorrow fo sure.

  10. Some random thoughts
    * 2 communion scenes in one episode?
    * I did have a few interruptions, so maybe I missed it, but how did Abel get Jax' ring? Last I saw he left it at the graveyard.
    * I'm glad the club didn't kill him, but still processing how he died. Not really satisfied right now, but I'll sleep on it.
    * Agree that Sutter is not a good moderator. He should have had someone else do it, but pre-fed them the questions he wanted asked if he wanted control.
    * Loved the truck driver!
    * Loved Venus showing up again (ladyH you got your wish).

      what 2 communion scenes??
i will rewatch tomorrow on tv. computer sometimes cutout..
didn't see the need for jax to take himself out of the game but.. i'm quitting this mess now and will revisit this later after i rewatch on big screen tv tom

    2. Sugar, I remember when Gemma gave Abel the ring, but then Jax had them in today's episode and left them on the gravestone. I always assumed the set Jax had were his Dad's but I guess there were 2 separate sets.

    3. Sugar, two communion scenes
      1. When the homeless woman walked away they zoomed in on what she left behind - a bottle of red wine and a loaf of bread that had wine stains as if it had been dipped in the wine.
      2. The final scene with the crows picking at a loaf of bread as Jax' blood spread from offscreen across the pavement towards the bread.

    4. ahhh didn't understand the wine bread thing,, never liked church so there's that
jt's ring was 1 that said sons
      jax had 2 rings 1-so 2-ns
      jax left his w/ opie
gemma gave jt's to abel for when he becomes a big boy and patches in..

  11. *Burning everything Huh, Jax?!
*Nice throwback to Tara. Plus Opie!!! Yay!!! Visiting dead friends like Jax is in a macabre assembly line
    *Humiliation is hot now...
*Final Sons Chase set to I Can't Help Falling In Love With You was epic
*Unser's van gave me the sadsies
*Told ya it was a mayhem vote and Jax has accepted his fate. Everyone else is in denial. His own chapter will have to vote for Jax's death too as per the stipulations last week.
*This is how you become a leader...this is part of the gig... Then don't pass it on to him if you're a true friend Jax FFS
*CCH "I am the struggle" POUNDER!!! I heart her so hardcore.
*Holy shit! That massive double cross! Killing the IRA king/soldiers and keeping Connor instead. Better late than never, indeed.
*This is who I am...I can't change. I need my sons to grow up hating the thought of me. This is a nice departure from Usual Jax, and other anti heroes like Walt W & Tony S
*History doesn't lie. Stay safe sheriff!
*Love the zoom out of the final shot of the reaper table
*Well, bye Barosky! And they found poor Gemma and Unser. So sad.
*Hey Sutter even brought back that homeless lady from the school shooting episode
*Love the Bishop murder scene where he is dressed as a reaper on the church steps
*Interesting that like his mama, Jax went to go say his last good bye to daddy. Really highlights the criticality of the father/son relationship. And how Abel was twisting that ring...
    *VENUS!!!
*Our crows are back. I figured Sutter would omit the crow killing and the Tig as a rat theories. Too little time.
*"I got this" never ends well. Nice to see Jax go out all Western style while in his beloved chase sequence. Also liked his Jax would "never make one of them" kill him. Poor Chiklis though.

*BrBa Spoiler: I love how much this episode reminded me of Felina. Our main man says his good byes, ties up all loose ends, gives closure to his loved ones, and goes out with a bam doing what they love. It's still no Felina though. I am still suffering from BrBa withdrawal.

Crying and can't wait to see everyone's comments!!! <3

HeisenHugs to my Sons of Anarchists!

  12. I was honestly expecting Jax to go out suicide by cop until I saw the first shot of Chiklis in in the truck. I wonder if that was an ending possibility. I know they did a lot of finale reshoots in recent weeks. I could understand why Sutter would ditch that route in light of everything going on with Ferguson and police brutality right now. Just a theory.

  13. great recap lady h..
will have to rewatch tom on big tv. let it all sink in better

  14. @Bacon Ranch
According to Rolling Stone: The sprawling ballad was was recorded by Sons of Anarchy's in-house band, the Forest Rangers, and sung by Jake Smith, a.k.a. the White Buffalo, while the lyrics were penned by the show's creator, Kurt Sutter.
    (Makes total sense)

  15. Thanks for the song info Lady :) In house band? Fancy.
I can only imagine the bow chicka bow wow songs they would improvise when Jax was getting his groove on.

  16. @Lady H--good point about the possibly of rewriting a suicide by cop exit. I really thought they were setting up for it.
***it was good to see Jax finally realize what he needed to do for his kids. Like he said, should have done it while Tara was still alive.
***so many questions: wtf was up with the limp from episode 12? I guess nothing.
***what happens with the rest of the grim bastards now that they patched in Tadarius? Was he just going to be like "peace out?" It's minor, just one of those things. I'm ignorant about gang procedure and protocol.
***so Jax is just going to kill TWO men outside THE COURTHOUSE and not have immediate police all over him? OK
***on paper, I'm satisfied with the series of events that lead up to/gave closure (Jax telling Nero his kids should hate the memory of him was heartbreaking). However, I don't know that I'm satisfied with the way it played out on screen. Seemed anti-climatic. Don't know why. Maybe poor writing? Direction? I don't know.

Now I need a new show to discuss. Any recommendations???

    1. Tacky, I agree about the courthouse scene. Sooooo unrealistic that he just killed those guys and there was not a soul in sight. Please.

I guess I'm glad with the way it ended but I feel underwhelmed by it. I was hoping for a shootout or something a little more exciting.

  17. Agree that was anticlimactic, but it was still good. Charlie looked better than ever, gonna miss looking at him. YAY for seeing Venus! Thank God Justified is right around the corner, just wish it wasn't ending too. We need a show with Walter Goggins as the lead immediately!

  18. I thought this comment was very interesting!

I think I've got a pretty interesting theory about the homeless woman:
I think she's serves as a symbol for the Irish death goddess the
Morrigan. The animal associated with the Morrigan was the crow. She
was a goddess of battle, strife and sovereigns, all three things being
prevalent throughout the show. The Morrigan was known to choose who would die.
In Celtic myth, she appeared as a hag before a hero as an omen of his
impending death as he is riding out to meet his enemies where he will
die. If that wasn't the plan then there's a LOT of coincidental similarities there.

    1. That is a much better explanation than my thought, which she was the reaper of death. Very interesting!

  19. Loved your analyses @Tacky Fries.
*Need to rewatch later but I think SOA wanted to patch in the Grim Bastards into their organization
*Best theme was the acceptance that there is NO way to unite the family man with the gangster in a healthy way. If Jax stuck around his boys would've been just like him. Indoctrinating your children into that shit is directly cursing them. I've seen it thousands of times and to think they'd be any different is insane. I still think Abel will be fucked no matter where he goes
*Its pretty big of a stretch for Jax to get away with any of last night's kills but that's what is what we should expect from SOA
*I got exactly the ending I was expecting. It wasn't the best, but it was honest to the show. It was consistent with the overall writing level of the whole series.

Amazing theory Z. Makes total sense. Funny how SOA's finale symbology is either way too heavy handed (crows) or so lofty it goes over our heads (homeless lady). I'm thinking there's some Hamlet tie in with her too but I'm not a Shakespeare buff so I'll ask around. Goggins is my favorite. Such a handsome devil of a scene stealer...
    Can't believe it's all over!

  20. I was lucky enough to be at a viewing party with Kim Coats and Theo Rossi. They had not even seen the episode at the time. As a day 1 watcher, I thought it was an amazing episode. I will rewatch again when I get home, but the experience I had was soooo freaking cool. As for the limp, Kim said Charlie had kicked something and it really had nothing to do with anything in the show. Also, there was a transgender boy in the audience who thanked him and the show for what you hey did for his community. Some touching stuff there!!!
