Dr. Dre is World's Highest Paid Musician

Forbes released their annual list of the highest paid musicians. Dr. Dre topped the list for 2014 with a whopping $620 million. The money is largely due to Apple's purchase of Beats by Dre for $3 Billion. His earnings have given Dr. Dre the distinction of having the biggest single-year payday of any musician in history. Beyoncé is in second place with a paltry $115 million. 2014 was also Beyoncé's most lucrative year to date. See the rest of the list at Forbes.

  1. Well, if his money came largely from selling a product other than music, then he's not the highest paid musician. He's the highest paid headphone mogul who also happens to be a musician.

    2. @Kno
      Exactly what I was thinking.
      That's a product, not music.

And just how does Forbes get this info????

  2. Bey should be keeping her eye on what's happened to Jennifer Lopez. JLo was on the top of the world around 2001 - movie star! music star! business star! - but 13 years later, she's still shaking her butt and rolling around on the floor. Here's hoping Bey has a better exit plan. Dre did.
