    1. Had to go and share the wisdom of John Waters on my Facebook page. Thanks Lady H.

As for my day I've been in the kitchen baking pumpkin bread muffins. On a whim I tried baking some in my Aebelskiver pan too and they turned out excellent. Basically like mini muffins. Deelish!!!

    3. I'm glad that the John Waters fans enjoyed the link. I was fortunate enough to meet him several years ago at UCSD. Such a brilliant man, and so unbelievably generous with his fans

@Gina- sending you lots of love sweetie

    4. OMG I can't believe I just saw this. LadyH you are wonderful. I know I say awesome too much. But this, this was just what I needed today. I love it thank you. Just read his last book given to me by the Opster who knew how much I loved him.

  3. Just got my son to take a power nap. We're hosting a party tonight for our neighbors. I made a bunch of appies and we're ordering pizza and wings. (Breaking the meat-free Friday rule for Lent but nobody seems to care. So, I'll just go with it.) I'm actually taking a breather and drinking a glass of wine right now. Yay.

  6. This weekend is maj for me My husband is taking me to Bibou in Philadelphia. It is my Valentine's Day gift. You have to book a res like 6 months in advance. He tried to take me a couple years ago. But my crazy family hijacked his plans, bless my husband's soul. I am totally perplexed as to what to wear because Philadelphia MAJORLY SUCKS at snow removal. Whatever shoes I wear will be DOGGED, no doubt.

On Sunday, my family is celebrating my grandmother's 100th birthday!! We are having a brunch at the country club where me and my husband got married. All of my grandparents are in nursing homes or assisted living now, but they are all in their 90s. My Nana is FABULOUS!!! She still rocks all of her jewels and a full face of Estee Lauder. She loves to go down to the casino. I am so excited to see all of my cousins. And it's not going to snow. Praise the Lord! My parents are flying in from Florida tomorrow. I'm sure they'll bitch and moan about everything. Gotta love the Italians. Ha.

    2. Susan that is so sweet. Enjoy! I find it so interesting how I too adore cooking but my husband doesn't understand the need to take me to an amazing restaurant so I could expand my talents or, rather enjoy the true mastery of others. Why bother when he gets a great meal at home? You're lucky. I suppose I could push for more and Tge Opster would take me some nice places. I just don't because I'm lazy. LOL! But you're young so rock those heels girl.

    3. Tell him that what's you want, Sherry!!! He'll do it. We just wrapped up our party with the neighbors. I have an entire pizza and like 15 hot wings left over. Kill me now. LOL. I loathe leftovers. Plus with all this eating out this weekend, I am so going to need to detox next week. Ha. My son had so much fun with the kids.

  7. I broke my specs last night tripping over the cat, and the backup specs are awful. :/

Wondering if parole officer Raspberry will clock in to tell me I don't have a real and actual life. SO needs to know this so we don't accidentally go out on a date tonight.

    2. Gina, that's scary - I hope everything works out! FWIW, I got bloodwork last week and they thought it was abnormal, turned out to be a false positive test when they re-ran it. Fingers crossed that it's a fluke and if not, fingers crossed for a good resolution.
