The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that Rachel Zoe's assistants aka associate stylists are leaving her to team up and start their own brand. Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson have worked for Rachel Zoe Studio for years, and have worked with Jennifer Lawrence, Sofia Vergara, Kiernan Shipka, Jennifer Garner, Gabrielle Union, Lucy Hale, and Megan Fox. Zoe released the following statement:
"We are sad to announce that Jordan Johnson and Jill Lincoln will be moving on from Rachel Zoe Studio. The growth of the company has created a lot of opportunity for our stylists and I wish them the very best in this next phase in their career. I am first and foremost a stylist and that will always be the foundation of our brand."
This is crippling news.

DeleteWhy is it always a big deal when she loses assistants? Does anyone aspire to be an assistant? Don't they all plan on getting experience then breaking away when they've learned enough to go on their own? Was Rachel ever an assistant?

ReplyDeleteShe praises her assistants on FB and Twitter. She doesn't respond to the haters (unlike Tamra Barney) and her posts are always positive.
I dig her style but she comes off as exhausting.
ReplyDeleteI think they do all the work and Rachel gets the credit. The stuff I've seen her put JLAW in was not flattering at all.
