    2. One of my min pins is named Violet - we also have a Lily and Frida. We like older sounding names around here. I actually have an Ophelia in my family tree. Maybe for our next min pin rescue ;)

  3. I am not a fan of old lady names. You are always expecting to see some withered up old prune when you hear certain names---like Edith, and Bertha...not a cute little kid bouncing around the play ground.

  4. Probably a family name, maybe a grandmother or great grandmother? I'll take Edith Vivian over Britni or Ashlee or Kymmie any day.
Old school names are bringing the cool back :)

    1. Anyone who is old school knows that Ashley is a BOYS name!!! Gone With the Wind anyone? Ashley Wilkes has been around for ages (my best friend growing up was a boy named Ashley). Whenever I see the name, I hear Scarlett O'Hara's voice in my head - Oh ASHLEY!!!

    2. BTW - That comment was not a negative directed at you Bacon - I merely despise that name being used for girls period (but as I said I've had an early influence towards seeing it as a man's name). One of those pet peeves about names.

  5. I think Edie is a cute nickname. I wonder if she wanted a girl, but figured it wasn't going to happen, given her track record.

  8. I thought I read elsewhere that her name was Vivian. I didn't hear the Edith part. Still lovely for them.

  9. Mazel to the family! Such classy names, too.

I hope Galadriel having a daughter will help her re-think defending a man who married his girlfriend's daughter. I've always liked her, finding out she defended Woody was a disappointment.
