  2. This A+ list diva took two hours to get ready to get her photo taken in ski attire and then when she finally did get her photo taken she passed over her kids to others and she went back inside. The diva needs rehab. Badly.

    Mimi the ski bunny! lolllll

  5. I'm so mad she used the name Bowie. I was JUST telling a friend a few days ago that's what I want to use if I ever have a boy. Now it's a laughable "celebrity" name. Grrrrrr.

  6. Will I find Bowie and Cy in the old or new testament? Maybe the Book of Tiffany?

My Catholic school roots are showing but what's wrong with a classroom of Davids, Pats, Mikes, Bettys, Janes, etc. I am a dull beast who seems to prefer dull beast names. The crap names celebrities give there kids... (shakes head, thinks about shouting 'hey, get off my lawn!')

  7. What are the chances that Grace's son - Jesus Slick - ended up in rehab?

    1. Actually Grace's daughter did end up in rehab to deal with alcohol. Her name is China, but it was widely reported that Grace wanted to name her God. Grace claims now that it was a joke.

  8. What? No pics of the chirrens? Cy isn't an odd name and neither is Bowie IMHO. Sorry Gweeds. I think the days of Alice and Ed are over. One day ALL kids will have weird names so who you gonna pick on?

    1. That day arrived years ago. My beloved sister in law teaches third grade and there isn't an Ed or Alice to be found.

I'm a sodden old thing. Bitter, your table for one is ready! (Time to eat!) ;)

  9. Two more kids with weird names who will resent their parents.

Cy sounds like an old jewish man and David Bowie's own son hated his name Zowie Bowie and is Duncan Jones now. Don't do drugs when having children and naming them.

  10. Doesn't David Bowie have copyright on Bowie, or would it be the inventor of the Bowie knife.

  11. Whenever I hear 'Cy' now, I hear that awful Caprice Bouret-whatsherface from Ladies of London say it *vomit*

  12. Those names will last until the kids are 18 years and one day old.

  13. How come no one mentioned Frank Zappa's kids: Dweezil, Moon Unit, Ahmet and Diva??

  14. Saldana is Dominican IIRC. In some Spanish speaking cultures the mother's name goes last. For instance Rafael Nadal's name is really Rafael Nadal Parera. His first name is really Rafel since he's Catalonian but that's a discussion for another day.

  15. Another thought is that she wants her kids to have her last name too. There's no reason why kids have to have the dad's last name exclusively. I do however think it's probably due to the last name custom that Aoife mentioned.
