Deep Thoughts

What is the last movie that you watched?

  1. Saturday night I watched Dead Pool, the last Dirty Harry movie. It was pretty funny seeing Liam Neeson with bad hair and a ponytail, Jim Carrey as a junkie plus Guns N Roses.

No idea GNR in a movie. I gotta watch it!

    2. I caught that on TV not too long ago. Had no idea Jim was in it and whoa surprise! He was pretty good.

  2. Zac and Mimi make a Porno---and it sucked!

    2. All this mess with Sony and North Korea because of the guy who starred n Zack and Miri Make A Porno.

    3. ROFL @Derek! I just see two losers and their busted ass dump of an apartment!

(NSFW- I actually loved Zac & Miri, mainly because of this guy...)

I still love those blinds about how Nicole Richie fucked Jason Mewes and is humiliated by it! LOL

@JBE- On point as always! ;)

Oh, and I just saw the Interview and I plan on watching Hedwig & the Angry Inch today for the millionth time.

    4. @Lady, I never understood why Nicole tried to deny it, I think Jason is a hottie.

  3. I don't remember the last time I went to an actual movie theater. I've recently re-watched Hunger Games 1 & 2 in preparation for Mockingjay to be released on home video. And of course, the required Christmas movies last week, Nativity 2, Scrooge & Christmas in Connecticut.

    1. Me & Mr. Min Pin just watched Hunger Games 1 & 2 yesterday. He hadn't ever seen them.

  4. Over the last week I've watched a ridiculous amount of movies. At least 3 every day. It's kinda the law here at Christmas time.

  5. The Imitation Game--it's awesome, BTW.

  6. The Interview. It's not that bad, as long as you go into it with the right expectations, and some alcohol or pot.

    1. Exactly. It's also nearly TWO HOURS. So plan a party intermission.

    2. The Interview was the last movie I watched too. I liked it! I also like the other movies they've done together and as long you're stoned, it's not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.

  7. I watched 22 jump street. It was pretty funny I'm ashamed to say.

    1. @Bacon, was it pretty creepy? It was the midnight movie here last weekend, but I cant stay up that late.

    2. It was very creepy. It is one of those 'mess with your mind' movies because through most of it you think you have it figured out but then it pulls a 180 and you're all "the hell did I just see?"
Good movie but make sure all the lights are on and the doors are locked. You couldn't pay me enough to see a midnight showing of it in a dark theater :)

    3. Oh and Omar, if you want to see a creepy movie, check out 13 Sins. I saw that last month and it still makes me shiver when I think about it. Think The Game, only much much more sinister.

    4. I'll look for them on Netflix, thanks! I loved The Game!

    5. Don't let the first 5 minutes throw you off, you'll understand by the end. Just a heads up :) That movie is seriously..disturbing on sooooooooooo many levels. But if you like thriller/scary it absolutely fits the bill.

  9. I stayed up late and watched something called "An American Hippie in Israel" on TCM. I'd never heard of it, and found myself mesmerized.

It's an art film from the 70's - def in the "so bad it's good" category. The title gives it away, really. Furry hair, hitch-hiking, free love, boobs, butts, pot-smoking, I think even a flash of peen. Worth a look if u like Grindhouse-type films.

  10. Last night in my chocolate haze, and first day I didn't have lots going on for a while now, for the first and last time I watched High School The Musical.
I thought of Cubs Fan. And if zac wasn't in it I prob wouldn't have watched. 1.5 hour of him wasn't all bad.

  11. Wargames last night, for the kiddos. Fun movie.

  12. Transcendence, I'm still trying to figure out Wtf.

  13. RocknRolla. On TV. I even endured the commercials. Seen it so so many times I should have the whole script committed to memory. I should make that a goal for 2015.

Otherwise been watching documentaries and a Cesar Milan marathon. I think people need a dog licence like they need a driver's licence, not just a license for the dog itself including a certified program in training a dog properly. So do people who have babies and adopt children.

    1. Okay Gina I did watch Transcendence too. See I already put it out of my mind. I would ditto your WTF.

    2. Awesome, I'm not the only one. The person I watched it with thought it was fantastic and I'm left literally thinking Wtf.

    3. I just bought Rock N Rolla on dvd!

  14. Young Adult. Charlize looked good and Patton Oswalt was good but it was not the funny movie I thought it would be.
I heard an interview and review of Babadook and it sounded scary as shit.
I can't belive The Interview was good. Thought for sure it was going to be a dog.

  15. Just got through watching Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. "You remember that summer you went away to community college? Well, I got an offer to do Playgirl and I did it....Just try to hear me in that messed up head of yours, remember, I spread my butt cheeks as Mike Honcho"

  16. Sherry, I love Young Adult!

Last movies I watched were Labor Day with a super hot (and I hate you for being a jerk IRL!!!) Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet, and last night I fell asleep watching The Stand. I still love me some Gary Sinise and STILL think Molly Ringwald was so wrong for the role of Frannie. I like her, but man, she was as wooden as a fencepost in that one. And I want whatever potion Rob Lowe is drinking because the man looks exactly the same!

  17. Annie, with the family at Christmas. Not nearly as bad as you might expect, except it made you really miss the days when Marni Nixon would dub the musical numbers for actresses who couldn't sing. Cameron Diaz needed Marni badly; Quvenzhane Wallis needed a young Marni; Jamie Foxx needed either a male Marni or some songs written in his range, which these were not. Tip to Sony: when you're making a musical, hire some singers.

    1. Right Nutty. Never understood why they don't hire worthy actors rather than famous actors. SMDH.

  18. Took the kid to see Night at the Museum #3, cried at the end when it was Robins last scene but then found myself clapping and yelling "do the lift, please god let them do the lift" when the "Time of my Life" started playing.

  19. i just watched Palo Alto yesterday and eek. Kinda funny to watch James Franco being the creeper that I think he truly is.

  20. Locke. It was a interesting concept for a movie, to be sure; and I'll sit and watch nothing but Tom Hardy for 90 minutes any time. Overall, however, it left me wanting something. Perhaps resolution but, that's not really what the film was about. I'd say there are worse movies you could waste your time on.

  21. Divergent! Enjoyed it. Oh and the other night, The Black Stallion.

  22. "I Origins". and I really liked it. Makes you think.

  23. The last movie I watched was "The China Syndrome," which I haven't seen since it came out. Pretty good show. I've got a whole bunch of movies on the DVR that I need to watch as I'm running out of room. I think I'll watch "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" next. Never seen it before.

Last movie I saw in the theater was "Gravity."

  24. My kids got Frozen for christmas. I had never seen it before Thursday. I have seen it many times since...

  25. Maleficent. They changed the story a bit but I thought they did a good job. I liked it.
