Celebrity Real Estate - Michelle Williams Sells Brooklyn Townhouse
Michelle Williams has sold her Brooklyn townhouse for $8.8 million. The townhouse sold for over a million over asking; it was listed for $7.5 million back in September. The townhouse has four stories, six bedrooms, and a garage. This is the home that she shared with Heath Ledger. See pictures of the property at Curbed.
Me likey. She keeps saying in interviews she wants to move to Toronto. I can be your manny Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI could so live there. It's clean and natural feeling and that library ~ swoon ~ and the deck ~ swoon again. Only thing I didn't like was the clinical feeling bathroom.
ReplyDeleteAnd heated floors, oh man, the wonder that is heated floors. I stayed with friends in Wyoming who had heated floors (some kind of geothermal thing, I don't remember) and it was amazing. Wyoming is wicked cold in the winter and climbing out of bed and finding your socks meeting a warm floor is like Christmas morning.
My husband installs under flooring radiant heating a lot. It's actually economical as well as just plain nice. Especially in bathrooms.
DeleteWe are thinking of doing that to our house! Our house is old and the radiators aren't very efficient these days. Seems like heater and cooled under floor heating is the way to go.
DeleteYep, I could live here as well.
ReplyDeleteon the top, in the middle of that Curbed website---I LOVE that blue living room. So cool. I worked as an assistant for an interior designer for a couple of years but it was very boring. Everyone wanted the same decor---beige and grey...I never went to school for that but obvs my boss did and she found the lack of creative input she could give to be frustrating....Plus its kind of a sleazy industry---often pushing items on clients for a higher commission cut ...But my boss was awesome and we are still good friends and the best reference a guy could ask for.
ReplyDelete@Derek, you made me look! That house has a room with a purple couch, I need it. Haha. I could see it being frustrating for an interior designer when people want to play it "safe" and keep it neutral. I recently repainted my red front room, it was hard to decorate with and it made the room seem dark.
DeleteI outta paint my bedroom red so I can get all freaky deaky like 50 shades! *lol jokes*
DeleteHa!
DeleteNice townhouse. And it looks like a place where people actually live - homey. Isn't Michelle the answer to the blind from that site about the woman who left her child with family for several days at a time? Perhaps having your home up for sale is part of the reason. She seems like a good mom to me.
ReplyDeleteYeah Karen I thought maybe she just thought it better to go through packing up heaths things would be too traumatic and emotional a thing for Michelle and didn't want Matilda to watch her mom go through that.. probably thought ig best to go have a vacation with the grandparents while mommy did the emotional heavy lifting and got their new home all ready..having the only home you've ever known gone and moving cross-country can be traumatic on a little girl so maybe she just wanted everything to be all rainbows and glitter and unicorns when she showed up at new house..
Deleteonly Ken Jong enty makes everything about a bad mom/ whore with a drug problem. ..
Sugar, well even the hassle of having to keep a home presentable while it's on the market. Always picked up, viewings at odd hours, no offensive cooking smells, etc. That's not convenient when you're raising a child.
DeleteI love that deck! Beautiful home.
ReplyDeleteI wld and cld be deliously happy in that abode.
ReplyDeleteJust lookef again and i relove it!!!!!!!
DeleteFor some reason I thought the garage would be on the bottom but it was adjacent. Like you'd ever want to drive in NYC. Only on weekends to the Hamptons I guess.
ReplyDeleteI could live in that library. I wouldn't need any other rooms.
ReplyDeleteit was listed in december and taken off the market in october..
ReplyDeleteno reason was given and then news broke yesterday that it was sold through a secret llc
for 1 million over ask.. maybe taking it off market was a request of super secret buyer??
when i hear people talk of painting their homes red it reminds me of alex and simon from rhony og
the origional red room jill called a bordello
oh gawd I remember that---so TACKY!
Deletederek you and vip are my og rho everywhere peeps that remember everything!!!
Delete"in jill zarin's voice" that red looks like bordello!! they should just start charging people on the way in,,,
Nice digs
ReplyDeleteThat's a great house, good spaces with character.
ReplyDeleteIt must've been hard for her to say good bye to that home. Think of all the memories it must hold.
