Lachey's Bar To Open in Cincinnati

If you ever wanted to share a beer with Nick and Drew Lachey, now's your chance! People reports that the brothers are opening a sports bar in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio with the groundbreaking name "Lachey's Bar." In case you can't make it there in person, the brothers have signed on to do a reality show with A&E that chronicles the opening and running of the bar. The reality show will air in 2015.

  4. So according to People, the press release for the show says: "Despite their lack of knowledge about running a business, the determined brothers are ready to roll up this sleeves and learn the ins and outs of running a place where everybody knows your name.”

My understanding is that restaurants & bars are among the hardest business to succeed with - profit margins are incredibly small. No business experience - what could possible go wrong there?

    1. I'm sorry A&E, why not just leave it at one boy band and a restaurant, like really?!?

    2. This show has to have limited appeal. Ah, the good old days. I remember when A&E had good shows, The History Channel had programs related to history and MTV and VH1 had music.

  5. They need to call in one of the guys from Bar Rescue or Restaurant Impossible from the start unless they want another shot at reality when the bar fails.

  8. Confucius say, "Married man who open Sports Bar is Married man looking for access to Straaange during "business hours"."

  9. Oh joy! Another reality show. Seriously people who think they'll make a shit ton of $ off a bar or restaurant quickly learn that's not always the case. Of course having the added income from a reality show will help.

And yeah, men that want to open a bar usually just want a free place to drink and forget about the work involved.

  10. Oh yeah seen that first hand. Friend of ours owned several bars. Had people over after hours, free drinks for everyone. Never got caught on that, here you would lose your liquor licence for that alone. I think but he had a lot of issues with the cops. His one bar had so many people in it you couldn't get your elbow up to put your beer to your mouth, clear fire code violation. After several bar ventures he is apparently doing something completely different. But it was the one time I could beat the queue, like the movie stars ha ha.

  11. Well i wont be watching it or any other reality show, but i wish them well. Nick seems nice guy.

  12. Nick does seem nice, if a little dim. The folk behind the reality show should've thought to somehow incorporated Randy Gerber into the show (perhaps as the Lacheys' long-lost friend-come-business advisor) as he seems to know how to make it work. Appearances from his wife (Cindy Crawford) would no doubt increase the ratings.
