Missy Elliott Gets Huge Sales Boost

Despite the fact that some younger fans didn't know who Missy Elliott was, Elliott stands to gain a huge sales boost from her performance at this year's Super Bowl. The Hollywood Reporter anticipates a sales increase of 1,000% for the week ending February 1st, reminding the world that she knows how to work it. She puts her thing down, flip it, and reverse it.

    It really bugged me that Missy's segment of the halftime show was so badly lit. Beautiful dark-skinned woman wearing a dark outfit against a dark background? What's with that?

      Me too Nutty!! The only spotlight was on Katy Perry. Who sucked!! She thought she was performing for a day care center birthday party. I used to like some of her songs but that performance pissed me off so much! And then she took the spotlight from legend Missy!

    I am ashamed to say that my husband knew all the Katy Perry songs. Mitigation being .that he heard them all when he was serving in Afghanistan with all the young troops at Bagram. I knew the Missy Elliot songs and was rapping right along with her and he was freaking out. He never heard any of them.

    Of course he was crying in his beer later on because the Seahawks blew the game. Being a Patriots' fan and having called the pick before the snap, I abused him for the rest of the night. It was so sweet. Pete Carroll was the worst Patriots' coach evah.

    I was glad to see Missy performing again after being so sick. She looked good. Yes the lighting was bad but most of the work she did had odd or unusual lighting. Is it true Perry got no sales bounce from the SB? Ha!

      I would imagine Katy had pretty decent album sales before the SB performance. Didn't she sing older stuff? I only saw part of Fireworks. God I don't know how she stood on that platform, flying around the stadium, and sang and didn't have a freaking panic attack. I know she was strapped on there and all but I was getting vertigo just watching it.
