Law & Order's Tamara Tunie Getting Divorced

Law & Order SVU actress Tamara Tunie, who plays medical examiner Dr. Melina Warner on the show, has filed for divorce from her husband of 23 years. TMZ reports that the couple do not share any children, and the split appears amicable.

    Oh wow, I didn't know she was on Law & Order. I remember when she was on As the World Turns. She played a lawyer if I remember correctly. This was back in the mid-late 80's.

    Recently she's been on the cable series Red Road, playing a Native American woman. I tried watching that show but I just couldn't get into it. I haven't seen her as the ME on Law and Order SVU in ages it seems.

    I always enjoyed her appearances on SVU. Ditto for Mike Doyle and some others. They do a generally great job casting supporting and bit parts.
