Celebrity Real Estate - Jeremy Renner Flips Again Edition

Actor and house flipper Jeremy Renner's newest project has hit the market. This time, Renner and partner Kristoffer Winters have refurbished Preston Sturges's old hom in the Hollywood Hills. The home, built in 1926, features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and a guest house. The pair purchased the house five years ago for $1.35 million, and they are listing it for $4.795 million. See pictures of the property at Curbed.

  1. If I hit the lottery, I'd hire them both. It looks lovely.

  2. THAT is one gorgeous house. I would absolutely live there, if it wasn't in California and, you know, the $4.795 million price tag.

Mostly, I think I want that fridge.

  4. Gorgeous home. Some people have all the luck. Not too fond of the furniture but the house itself is beautiful.

  5. That is so well done. I think it's the best house so far on here! Wow they really know what they're doing.

    1. @Meanie, actually the colors are perfect for the type of home. The Arts & Crafts style homes - bungalows and American four square should be in rich earth tones.

    2. @Karen, uh, no. I prefer lighter. Don't give a rat's ass what someone else's preferences are. :)

    1. We got our Craftsman bungalow for $30,000.00 (HUD house) back in the late 80's when the banks crashed and half the houses in town were HUD or Fannie May or Freddie Mac. You could buy a nice house for under $75,000. In my mind I still expect to be able to find a reasonable sized house for around that price. Yeah right.

  13. I guess I'm alone - it feels too close and rugged for me. The kitchen is not cook-friendly, too many bumpers, and the ceilings feel really low, even for this short person. Not enough light. I did like the bathroom with the giant shower, though.

    1. It's super masculine, almost like no women-friendly spaces were considered in the design. Hmmm.

    2. Meh. It's too dark and there's too much wood. The design is just a bit cluttered for my taste.

  14. I only like the bar/living room area. It reminds me of old hollywood for whatever reason. I am also a fan of dark living spaces.

  15. omg...everything about that home is my taste...style, colors, cozy, masculine...everything. My house is modest but very close to that style. Hubs is gonna love it too...Gotta take some notes.

  16. @Dena I think you've got the right idea. The word partner in the BI is no accident.

Talking about chandeliers and fussy house items? Ping! He does all the decorating? Ping! Little lap dog? Ping! Foundation makeup? Ping! So what evs but very pingy.

  18. I love beautiful homes, however our taste (& art & toys collection) means we live like a budget Guillermo del Toro, or Mark Ryden. I would love to live in their homes, or Long Gone John's place - it's my fantasy land.
