Greetings from Queen Anne in Seattle Washington. The space needle is less than a mile from my home. A Seahawks flag is flying from the top of it and l a st night it was done up in green and blue lights.
Seattle is a very chill, unexcitable city. Except for few noisy Guidos, it is a city noted for its Scandehoovian peeps - polite if demonstrative Lutherans and Calvinists.
The last few weeks have been a journey to the Twilight zone... in alternate Seattle we're rambunctious, fun loving, high fiving goof balls.
To my patriot friends I have nothing but love for the day ahead. But my tee shirt reads SEATTLE. OUR BALLS ARE HARD.
Hi, Q.A.G.! I love Seattle (the city). Again this year (after skipping last), I'm a member of the Halftime Show Production Crew. Sitting here at staging area ready to board bus, with motorcade escort, to "the Big Show" for second check-in, momentarily. Then on to holding area with craft services to keep us occupied. Friday night was final Dress Rehearsal. Day before game venue is closed and ATF, etc. come in and do a thorough sweep (SCARY!!). The usual 5-page NDA forbids me from saying more, lest I get my as* totally sued by the production company, NFL, etc. etc.etc. But it's going to be an AMAZING Superbowl Halftime Show!! AMAZING!!! Of course, there's already been a leak thanks to the jerks at TMZ via moles taking a "stadium tour". :( But I can tell ya there seem to be alot of people wishing for the Patriots to lose big-time! My fingernails are even painted dark blue for Seahawks. I work on a crew that gets to stay on field for 2nd and 4th quarters, including end of game, so it's always exciting!! Go Seahawks! Humiliate Brady!!
Wow Trilby, how exciting! I had an ex who worked security for the San Diego super bowl and he said while he saw a lot of famous people, he didn't see any of the game.
I will be loosing my shit soon too, jug of costco vodka is on the way with lemon pelligrino! Tray of rolled Sammie's, loads of Seahawk cupcakes! Woo hoo! Already horns are honking and peeps are screaming on the streets. Almost 2 hours to go, just can't be contained! Woo hoo!
I finished AHS Freak Show last night. Meh. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I also finished SoA today. Great ending. Jax was always such a bitch. I never liked him.
Happy Superbowl Sunday all. I have no horse in this race but I know it's like Champions League Final day here.

I liked the first couple episodes of AHS Freak Show but it got so bad so rapidly, not even NPH could save it. I hope the whole franchise won't go to shit. Glad you enjoyed SOA! Have a great day!!!
Hey Lady H. Thanks for the kind words. My dad is on the mend, but it's gonna be a long time before he's recovered. I'm helping out as much as I can. I agree about Freak Show. It could have been great. Needed more Dandy I reckon. Angela Bassett was wasted in it though. It just went nowhere. I'm a big SoA fan so I'm gonna really miss it. I need another show to get hooked on otherwise my insomnia will be utterly useless, ha!
But assuming you've seen both, have you seen The Shield? It has a lot of overlap in the writers and actors; it's essentially SOA but centered around a corrupt anti-gang squad. @Count also got me hooked on True Detective which is also excellent. I hope that you find a worthy new show!

I felt bad at how much better Missy's crew were dancing but then home girl got to ride up high in that robotic fucking star like an ANGEL. The production and sets were sick! I don't know why they brought Lenny in for that song, probably because all we are thinking about was kissing him anyways. So hot.
While Mr. Min Pin is in the other room cheering on the Sea Hawks (GO Seattle!) I'm camped out in the bedroom watching Black Sails, Banshee and gonna start a Strike Back marathon after that. Gotta love MAXX!!!
