Johnny Depp Is Legally Wed

Although they are having a ceremony in the Bahamas this weekend, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard decided to make things legal. Us Weekly reports that Depp and Heard tied the knot in a private ceremony at Depp's West Hollywood home on Tuesday. The pair met in 2009, began dating in 2011, and confirmed their engagement in 2014. This is Heard's first marriage, and Depp's second; he was previously married to Lori Allison from 1983 to 1986.

  1. Four months. Tops. Then she'll leave him for a woman.

    1. Nah, she can still bang women on the side while staying married to all that money.

  2. But first she will get power of attorney and complete control of all his money

  4. Vanessa and the kids must be feeling it. Good enough to procreate with and live with for a good 14/ 15 years but not to marry.
    Classy.

    1. @Its Just U - I can't help but secretly hope that the REAL reason is that she was too smart to marry that strung out ass.

    2. G'morn IJU! I've always felt like Vanessa didn't want to be married.

    6. Morning all. I hope you're right. I've been with my man for over 10 years now and we're engaged. But I dont want to be married. At all.
I love him and all that bollox but I'm not the marrying kind.
Maybe Vanessa is the same. I hope so otherwise that's just mean.

    7. It had to have been Vanessa not wanting to because depp has been quick to get engaged in every relationship.

    8. For fucksake! Johnny got engaged everytime he turned around. If Vanessa had wanted him to put a ring on it he would have. This isn't love them and leave them Warren Beatty (from the 60's/70's) we're talking about here. Have you guys taken a good look at Vanessa? She isn't the cleanest looking mother of the year either. I've always gotten a bit of a skank vibe off her and Kate Moss.

Couples break up ALL the time for lots of reasons. If they were still deeply in love they'd still be together. Everyone hated Kate Moss when Johnny broke up with Winona. That's life people, shit happens. At least he helped raise his kids unlike say - BOBBY BROWN!

  5. Does anyone else think that Depp is trying to stay relevant with these personal exploits because he can't do it with his work any longer?

He used to be highly regarded because he was a solid actor, but his role choice has been embarrassingly bad in the last few years. He only has Pirates as a draw these days and I can't help but feel that well is seriously dry.

He's not the hot new thing anymore. He's not the good looking guy anymore. He isn't the go-to guy for green lighting movies anymore. He can't even ensure an audience anymore.

He should read more scripts, deliberate over his choices and take regular showers. That might help.

    1. Karen, I still think he can be all of those things, but he's decided that trying to be Hunter S. Thompson is more important. People don't like it. I was the biggest Johnny Depp fan ever and was for several decades, but he's lost me, and I'm a huge pushover. I imagine the cynics have been LONG GONE for years.

    2. Brenda, I think you're right that he can turn things around -- if he wants to. I've never been a Depp fan myself, although I could appreciate his acting ability. A 50 year old man living his life as if he were 25 ends up being sad and pathetic. On the opposite side of the coin is Clooney, he acts and looks his age. He takes roles suitable for a man his age.

I'd sit down to dinner with Clooney. But with Depp, I'm afraid I'd get chicken fingers and tater tots.

    3. Maybe Clooney has aged more gracefully but he's still chosen women 20 yrs younger than him too.

    4. @Sherry, you're right. Clooney's choice in women has always been irritating. But that seems to be the norm for successful (read: rich) men. At least he didn't marry some teenybopper.

I was more talking about how he comports himself. He isn't wearing raggedy jeans that look like they haven't been washed in years. He doesn't have 75 bead bracelets on his wrist or Madonna-esque necklaces circa 1984. He looks great on the red carpet and not someone who has escaped from the Ringling Brothers circus.

    5. You're right there Karen. He (Clooney) is showing how to age properly and be classy. I like how MichaelK described Johnny as a constipated Mr. Peanut when he wore that tux get up with his chain embellishments and spats.

    6. Sorry man, I've always liked that Johnny does his own thing. Why in the hell does he have to start wearing suits, just because he's over 50? I would much rather have lunch with Johnny than Clooney any day. George Clooney just married a prop wife after going through how many twink girlfriends? I don't think Johnny and George are all that different, they just have different priorities. That's hilarious to think that Clooney is somehow more moral than Johnny with his 5 second courtship/engagement/marriage to Amal (and then you never see them together again). George is as fake as fake gets in my book. He just looks clean. P.S. I like Johnny's beads and shit.

  6. Karen I think like any actor his choices aren't always as great as we may envision them to be. Also the money that comes from a franchise is huge. Once you get that, well it would spoil anyone. As a man who's aging those young hot or just interesting roles slip away. Certainly men can work longer than women but they still start to age out to lesser starring roles or wise grandpa types.

Total mid-life crisis here. Only Keef can do Keef.

  8. Clooney showers so there's that
and yes Depp gets used to 25 million up front plus back end off every film. Private islands and jet fuel is expensive ya'll.
But he could use to lose a few lbs a few scarves and shower more.. I heard he can never get it up because of his past drug use which is why Vanessa didn't want to marry him and is happily dating young guys who can. .
