  1. Corny joke aside, I don't really find her funny or all that endearing. Does that make me a bad person? Portia, on the other hand, has great comedic to min and is a doll.

  2. Phranco, you're not alone. I generally like Ellen (and I loved her on her original TV show Ellen) but she gives me this vibe like there's something under the surface. I want to believe she's as fun and funky as she comes across, but remember when Rosie O'Donnell was fun and funny, then she turned into the scary creature that she is today?

That said, I don't watch Ellen and I love Portia (I mean, she tried to cry!), so who knows.

    1. I still mourn the Rosie show. I had her book, Kids are Punny.

  3. This joke killed vaudeville..

What's the difference between mashed potatoes and pea soup?

    I don't know what's the difference?

Well, you can mash potatoes but you can't pee ....

  4. There's something off about Ellen as well. .
like she tries to hard to be nice and friendly but underneath you know that she's probably very controlling and manipulative to the point of utter exhaustion. .

  5. I bet Ellen is no fun when the cameras are off, she comes off to me like bottled or suppressed violence or rage. That's how Tom Cruise used to appear at one point in his life. Like robots with smiles pasted on their faces.

As for Portia? I think Portia should go back to wearing dreadlocks like she had in STIGMATA.
