  2. A lot of girls I know buy Material Girl and love it. Good for Madonna for having an actual successful celeb fashion line that is accessible for the masses and on trend.

  3. With the exception of the Missoni one the Target collaborations generally disappoint me when I see them in person.

    1. The ones we get in Canada are worse! We dont even get the high-end names and yet they charge the same prices as H&M etc but look like they are from Walmart

    2. a "tweener" superstar of some kind. She was suppose to play Aaliyah in that Lifetime movie. So I guess she is good at dodging career bullets....

    1. @ califblondy Lola is a collaborator, but I think the Material Girl company itself is part of the bigger BoyToy Inc corporate umbrella.

  7. Is it wrong that I feel bad for the mannequin?

I generally like Target's stuff. For t-shirts and pjs and workout wear, they cannot be beat, but there is not one Target item in my wardrobe that I couldn't live without. I love my Old Navy jeans and a Forever 21 top a friend bought me, a vintage type dress from Macy's, a fantastic pair of slacks that make my backside look like Beyonce's on a good Photoshop day from Nordstrom's Rack, a fantastic black jacket that is still going strong after four years from Costco of all places - and some nice black gloves from Target.

    1. Seven I like target for pj's and workout gear. I got a pair of Mossimo lounge pants there this week. And socks too! At Christmas I treated myself to a fuzzy robe from there and it's the softest thing. Don't think I've ever bought anything there that I've kept for years though.

    2. Why does Target struggle so badly in the Canadian market? I would think if the stores sold the same/similar merchandise as the American stores for the same low prices, they would be successful. So what's the problem? Do they not sell the same things as American stores? Or do they sell the same products and they are not of interest to Canadians? Do they charge more? I just don't get it! Target is my sanctuary! It's my pharmacy, my grocery store, my clothing store, my Starbucks. What's not translating north of the border?

    3. Jeannie - it's a combination of things you mentioned.

First off, the prices are quite a bit higher, which they blame on duties and tariffs. Second, the selection doesn't compare. And lastly, there have been loads of complaints about shelves not being fully stocked. Again, they blame this on (I think it's called) pictograms - meaning, they have to stick to a diagram when filling shelves. So oftentimes, the shelves might be bare, despite the items being in the stock room. Which makes absolutely no sense.

  9. My niece swore by the yoga pants and I got some (they come in "Long" length, which I love) and they are wearing really well, and no fading. I will get another pair my next visit.

  10. The one item I can't live without at Target are the LIZ maternity tank tops. They're basically regular tank tops that run extra long. I live in those things. I'm also a big fan of Danskin (that's Walmart though). Being a gymnast from ages ago I've always worn Danskin and it has always maintained its quality in basic workout wear.
