  1. I love him, but marrying someone the same age as your daughter?

And, how did Mira get to be 47????

  2. I never knew the guy from Goodfellas and Law & Order was Romy's dad!

Fun facts: he's a deputy sheriff in PA and has a stake in the company that makes Alphaderma.

    2. One of my few almost celebrity encounters is Paul Sorvino. He has just divorced and walked in and sat with a lovely brunette, probably half his age at the table next to my friend and me. We had splurged and went to a chi chi restaurant. When I first saw him I thought he was someone from my hometown but my friend who isn't even a big TV watcher said that's Paul Sorvino and I guess when you see these TV actors every week you start to think you really know them. We left him alone and only one person came up to the table before they had ordered and he was polite and Paul was doing some singing in Canada and the man said I was at your show and your singing was just wonderful and I think that pleased Paul very much and he was very polite and gracious and then everyone left him alone to enjoy his intimate dinner. My friend was trying to eavesdrop, all she could here was New York being mentioned a lot.

  7. I think the older you get, the less it matters. Like a woman nearing fifty marrying a man in his 70s really isn't as shocking as a man in 70s marrying a woman in her 20s. The gap in maturity is much, much greater.

That said, my SO is nearly a decade older than I am and we get along very, very well. I've always dated men around my own age but there was really no question of age when met. We joke around because we're a generation apart and he'll be like "What do you mean you never listened to ---?" And I joke that when he was in high school, I was a wee lass in elementary school. :D

  8. I didnt even know he was on the market! I thought he had one of those marriages that started when he was 25 and he was still married to same woman today. Huh.

  9. It really depends on the person. It's not like she's some college girl at 47. It's grosser (to me) when it's someone just out of highschool and a 40+ person. Youngest I ever dated was a guy that was 16 years younger than me. My sister's hubby is 16 years younger than her. I didn't marry my younger boyfriend though. He was fun for the year after my divorce, a very smart, musically talented guy in the last year of his bachelor degree.
