Jennifer Hudson Headed to Broadway

Jennifer Hudson will finally make her Broadway debut in the musical The Color Purple. Page Six does not know yet which role Hudson will be playing, but the production will hit Broadway in the Fall of 2015. The production, directed by John Doyle, has been playing in London since 2013.

  3. Good for her. Maybe someo will teach her about how to sing to create a mood. She's like a horse trying to get a head start on everyone and not saving anything for the home stretch.

I mean she can sing but I've never once heard her do a soft gentle ballad soft and gentle. Hopefully this will teach her. Frankly I thought she'd alrwady done Broadway.

  7. Morning ladies, Derek....

I'm not a musical type much (but I have a weakness for opera). I tried to sit through this show but couldn't. This novel is so good. The movie fell so short. And the musical sanded off every last rough edge and snuffed out the last sparks of. Life.

I can't imagine anyone making a anything of that mess.

Btw, I saw a picture of Gina Gershon at the opening night of the metropolitan opera... yum! Gina, if you need a date....

  9. Jen has to be playing the woman who's father is the preacher and she walks over to the church and sings that song that will bring the house down. Cant think of her name. That book, man, it had too much in it, incest, lesbianism, feminism, forgiveness, the whole africa story and the reuniting story. It was a bit much i thought; everytime you got interested in one thing author threw another thing at you. They shld really streamline that and tighten up that story. And yes, of course, no one asked me, lol!

  10. I hate this lying heifer. Keep lying bout how you lost all that weight Jennifer! Meanwhile my friend is like "oh stop after what happened to her family" I'm like that doesn't give you the right to lie to folks faces that you did weight watchers when really you got surgery.
And Broadway's not what it used to be now that they let Nene stomp on it lol

  12. Sug was awesome.

I have no particular feeling about Jennifer Hudson except those commercials where she was belting out I'VE GOT THE POWER! over and over made me think that being deaf would be an asset in some situations.
